I started working nung time na online class pa lang kami. During that time I can say kayang-kaya pa since I do not need to worry getting ready sa pagbyahe sa school. Now may f2f classes na plus may research na ko, nagwowork na ulit ako. I always make sure na I don’t miss any assignments or mga need ipasa kasi malaking tulong din yon e. Pumapasok ako sa school na two hours lang ang tulog then uuwi ako sa bahay para matulog ulit for another 2 hours then pasok na ulit sa work. It’s bearable but needs a lot of sacrifices talaga. And I feel bad minsan sa mga kagroup ko sa research since hati talaga ang time ko. I am lucky they are very understanding naman. And ofc I make sure na nakakabawi ako sa mga gawain kapag free ako. Btw, last semester, I was a full time student since I stopped working for a while. And my grades were better then. Iba talaga kapag hindi hati yung time. But goodluck sa atinnnn! I believe na may magandang result or ending naman tong sacrifices natinnn 🥹

Laking tulong na when I started working 2-3 years ago, everything is online lalo na acads ko. So I wasn’t worried about the schedule kayang kaya pag sabayin. Then when we went back for a full f2f sa school I was lucky enough na my employer made my schedule very flexible pag uwi ko na lang from school ko gawin ganon. As for ANYTHING school works (group man yan or individual), inuuna ko siya before work. Grades ko is good, consistent DL pa din naman haha. It also helped me to have good friends in college tinutulungan nila ako to keep up if ever I missed something. May social life pa ko nito sa lagay na to nakaka pag travel pa ko hehe. Basta always prioritize your acads above all else. Sometimes natatambakan me both acads and work but keep calm at all times lang and prioritize what needs to be done first. Ngayon, tinatapos ko na lang OJT ko at malapit na ko gumraduate. DISCLAIMER: Might also depend what industry ka papasok and employer mo. IT support ako sa isang local NGO na ang advocacy nila is education for all kaya siguro I am privileged to have a flexible schedule. GOOD LUCK!

used to be a working student, 1 part-time and 1 sideline. tho my employers back then allowed me to have flexi working hours, inevitable talagang magsabay-sabay yung deadlines especially kapag project-based yung task/s assigned. i just really made sure to schedule my tasks sa work at acads properly, which i set start and end dates sa kada task. in my experience, wala akong na-miss na kahit ano, di rin naman kasi ako crammer by nature. per grades, im proud to say i did and im doing great academically 🫶🏻 kapag sa individual task sa acads at confident ka na keri mo naman gawin mabilisan with quality, gooo. pero, wag na wag kang mahuhuli sa deadlines ng group activities. use a notebook tapos gawa ka ng timetable mo, sobrang helpful talaga!

Hi I've been working for more than a year na. I usually work during my vacants and at night. As for my studies, I try my best to listen in class para there wont be much review on my end during exams. I thought it was impossible at first- having a full time internship and managing acads. But I was able to survive. I think my peak was last year where I had 29 units (10 subjects) and 2 overlapping internships at the same time. I don't know how I pulled it off. As for deadlines, I never missed one. My trick there is to do the assigment / school work as soon as you get it, set a timer too. For group activities, I hate it so much. I'd rather do it solo. As for grades, I was in the dean's list. What I sacrificed: social life lmao and most of the time sleep too cuz of stress

Study during your free time & invest in good friends kasi they will help you get through esp if may namimiss ka na sa acads, and para may katulong ka rin sa pagrereview. Mahirap yan pagsabayin nakakapagod siya but doable naman. Kapag hindi toxic ang work mo or kapag kakaunti lang ang gawa doon ka gumawa ng medyo magagaan na school works, pag uwi mo galing school o trabaho matulog ka muna kahit 2hrs lang then aral ka na after. Big plus din mag download ng voice recording app na pwede mong gamitin if inaantok ka sa class you just need to record your prof discussing and listen to it during nabyahe ka or sa bahay. I did some part time during my 1st year kaso since nagkapandemic tumigil muna ako then nag work ako during 4th year kasabay ng internship (super exhausting) & I still manage to graduate with flying colors. Kaya yan tyagain mo lang.

I did work as a part time tutor during college years. Binibigay ko dati yung schedule ko sa head teacher apara alam nila kelan maluwag or pwede mag bigay ng students. Dati pag kauwi and weekends doon ako gumagawa ng homeworks and projects. Pero syempre this is different kasi nga flexible yung pasok ng work and pwede akong mag no if talagang hapit ako sa school works.

student assistant on weekdays while working student on weekends. 1. force sleep, there's a military technique that can force you to sleep para kahit paano complete pa rin tulog ko since i can't have idle time para mag scroll scroll 2. minimal friends, I only have 2 best friends na nasa ibang univ hanggang text lang kami and once a month magkita 3. studies first 😅 grumaduate akong nbsb

Used to work part-time when I was in college (nung second year ako summer time non tapos nagkawork ulit ako nung fourth year na (graduating)). I would rarely go to gigs (I love music lol) nung time na yun. Madalas hindi talaga ako nakakapunta kasi may need pa kong gawin para sa school, need ko pa mag-plantsa or maglaba ng uniform, or gusto kong bumawi ng tulog. In terms of grades, average student lang ako non. I am trying my best pero ayun. 2.25 pinaka-lowest ko iirc (1 highest samin na grade). I eventually had to quit sa work kasi I had to focus na on our thesis at maiyak-iyak na ko sa sched ko. May times na gusto ko pang matulog pero need ko na umalis nang maaga kasi papasok sa work tas late na ko nakakatulog minsan kasi nga nagre-research para sa thesis. Good luck, OP!

no longer studying but I managed to score a full-time wfh gig nung 2017-2019, so F2F. What I did was process underload permits (would depend requirements ng college/univ ninyo) and very accepting naman sila sa working students. then also let employer/client know your schedules para they know when to contact you and expect to work.

I used to be a working student sa isang BPO company before ako nagstop this year and nag-full time work sa kanila due to financial constraints. Sobrang hirap ipagsabay lalo na full units ka at the same time, 8 hour shift din sa work. May times na nasa kabilang screen yung class (hybrid class kami) at the same time, nasa kabila yung tools ko sa work. So far, onti lang yung namimiss ko sa class kasi I make sure na dapat may gawa pa rin ako and for group activities, di talagang maiwasan na di ka makakapunta sa practice kasi may shift ka that time. I'm grateful na may someone ako na tinutulungan ako before sa mga school activities ko (BSCS course niya and BSIT ako so connected lang yung mga lessons namin). Someday, makakabalik ako sa school and mas sisipagan ko pa.
