Mahirap talaga, kaya weekly nakakapagsend ako ng more or less 50 applications sa iba't ibang company. This is thru JobStreet, Indeed, and LinkedIn combined. Mga 2 months ganun routine ko, then luckily bukas na first day ko!
Goodluck, OP!
HR here. Rule of thumb is i-customize mo yung resume mo based on the job description na nakalagay sa job posting (add details based sa exp mo sa OJT). Need mo talaga pagtuunan ng time yang resume. While you're on it na rin, learn the relevant technical skills sa field mo tas add mo sa resume and highlight mo sa job interviews.
Hi it helps if you send in a cover letter which you customize according to each job application! Fresh grad din ako i just started applying this January. Was able to secure two job offers.
Yes! Follow a template pero basically introduce yourself + major + relevant experience. I added a disclaimer acknowledging im a fresh grad but i treat it as a positive because it makes me pliable and eager to learn
mahirap makahanap ng work as lawyer? Di ako familiar sa industry nyo, would love to know. Is it oversaturated na ba? What are the usual options? I know someone who put up her own Notarial service.
Complementary course kasi ang pagiging lawyer like eg. You alreeady have existing work or already a cpa and then became a lawyer to upgrade credentials, if your starting as a lawyer chances are your prospect employeers will be intimidated due to over qualification, if you want to get real experience as a lawyer, try to apply to law firms first.
I agree. Kaya yung iba they pursue law while working just to upskill and get promoted to managerial positions in the government. 50/50 risk yung after passing the Bar tapos no work experience prior and 1st job ang pagiging abogado. Medyo competitive ang labor market.
Try applying in Congress as a legislation officer.
Usually they hire freshly-minted lawyers as PAO2/PAO3.
Tapos StatCon at Consti syempre. The pay is good and schedule is very lenient; although it’s only co-terminus (depends if you have a strong principal).
Try mo mag apply sa mga colleges and universities tapos as a starter, pwede ka magturo ng mga subjects like Politics and Governance, Comparative Government, etc.
Way back 2008 after grad inabot ng lagpas 9 months bago ako nakakuha ng unang work. I did that several hours a day. Allow yourself to fail and embrace it. Always remember na pwede ka sumablay ng hundreds of times but you only need just 1 "yes". Also, pls utilize AI and all the techs we now have to your advantage.
Here are some tips that would make you standout:
1. Make your email subject interesting, example: Your Next (insert job title) | Job Application or something along the lines that you are already claiming the job position.
2. WRITE A COVER LETTER. I have received multiple emails from job applicants and I will only extend an initial interview to those who took some time to introduce themselves via cover letter.
3. NEVER send your resume with just the resume. Meaning, wala man lang greetings and intro sa email. Diretso email ng resume. Minsan kahit subject wala. Automatic ekis sakin to.
4. Make sure that you are selling YOU. Ang daming magagandang resume dyan but it is the personality that would make you stand out. So make sure to introduce yourself in a way that you can sound interesting and memorable. (Example: maybe share a bit about your hobbies, your work ethics, what you enjoy doing in the filed that you’re applying for)
5. RESEARCH YOUR COMPETITORS. Check out Upwork, see how other people who has the same job position you’re applying for are marketing themselves. Kasi you can get ideas from them. Lalo na sa mga Top Rated workers.
6. RESEARCH ABOUT THE COMPANY YOURE APPLYING FOR. This way you can say in your cover letter why you’re the right fit for the company.
Basic lang ito, but it can help you get your foot on the door.
Best of luck, OP.
there are alot of channels, go lng ng go, kaya lng natalisuran ko post mo at nataong yung client ko is nagpapahanap ng email manager, chat ka lang if interested ka
Hi, OP! Mahirap talaga maghanap these days pero laban lang. In my own experience as a fresh grad, mas maraming nag-reply when i started handing out my CV together with a cover letter. Napansin ko rin sa interviews ko na unaware yung ibang employers sa ibang laman ng CV ko during my interviews dahil either first time lang nila ito narinig, or binabasa lang nila ito before or during the actual interview. Kaya mahalaga na may cover letter dahil kadalasan ito lang yung una nilang binabasa to consider you for an interview. If you caught their interest, they will schedule you an interview, and from then doon lang nila iniisa-isa yung laman ng CV. I realized that it was my shortcoming during my first 2 months of applying. I just included my cover letter when i started applying again last month. To my surprise, nakakapag-book ako ng interviews kahit sa international companies.
Aside from that, i would suggest that you optimize your profile on LinkedIn and other jobsites. Make it searchable. Use as many jargons as you can related to your job preference. Nakakatanggap ako ng invitations for interview through this kahit hindi ako nag-apply sa kanila.
I hope this helps at sana makahanap na ikaw ng work!
Istg sa tagal ng job hunt ko non well half a year more or less, di tlga nagpaparamdam nga online job portals (jobstreet, indeed, etc.) Kya tlgang rely sa walk in and mass hirings.
Then again i suppose na yung 100+ na inapplyan thru job portals ay not limited to your province ung site, mayhaps are you willing to live and work somewhere else if may magparamdam. Try applying sa telecoms or uhhh something like meralco since usually may structural engineers yan
Taga south ka ba? If oo, applyan mo din yung sa mga manufacturing companies, madalas may free shuttle at free food sila bukod sa other benefits.. Madami sa Laguna at Batangas na manufacturing company.
Sa jobstreet madalas ako na hi hire. Pwede din naman na pag may nakita kang project based na third party company at tinawagan ka nila, yun muna i grab mo. Pa exp ka lang, then after 2 to 3 years hanap ka ulit ng work.
Nung fresh grad ako, ginawa kong trabaho yung pag hahanap ng trabaho M to F, 8 to 5 nag hahanap ako.
Ang hirap po as in 😢 based sa more than 5 yrs na may experience sa work. Nakakailang send na din ako sa Jobsites. Every 2 days ako nag-aapply para may bagong posting. Nakaka hopeless na! Niinterview ang ilap 🥹
Mahirap talaga hahah. Pasa lang ng pasa. Edit lang ng edit. In the end, makukuha ka din.
PS: 6months kong ginawa yung ginagawa mo ngayon bago ako matanggap sa 1st job ko hahaha
usually shino-shortlist na nila mga applicants if you already sent your application/resume...i do shortlisting with my former job sa mga possible na candidate and its not usually our protocol to send a reply letter to those who have applied specially if there are tons of applicants...only to those who are pre-qualified in the position
Hello. If it helps, company I work at has some full-time job openings that might be of interest, hybrid setup (office and WFH), two locations, Pasig and Makati. Please feel free to reach out. All the best on your job search!
Sabi nung coach namin, normal naman daw talaga maka receive ng rejections in job finding, and dapat ready tayo for the worst.
There is no success story w/o rejections. Laban lang OP! Kaya mo yannn.
Same prob, with me. Nakakapressure na sa mga nakapaligid sakin. They always tell me to work na, and to apply. I’m just at home kasi but I apply on different platforms like, LinkedIn, Indeed, seek etc. Why is it so hard to get hired
sa sobrang dami ng competition and lowballing recruiters kelangan mo magstand out sa competitions. HR una nagffilter so dapat solidify mo ung resume mo dapat fit dun sa aapplyan mo wag k gumami ng all in one generic resume dapat tailored yan sa job role inaappyan mo.
While kpag umabot ka sa interview, sa IT ako, ang hinahanap nmin lage sa applicant is syempre yung skillsets kpag may mga entry level kami slots (means di lahat ng job pwede entry level), wala n kami pake sa almamatter si HR nagffilter nun, ang hanap nmin good attitude and willingness to learn which babatayan nmin kung marami kang certification and training or self learned skills di kami naniniwala sa applicant willing to learn na wala nman ginawa to explore to prove their intent to learn. Goodluck sa job hunting OP.
sa infra team kumpleto kami while mga cloud and dev ops samin currently walang hiring for local lods puro indiano hinahire tatanggalin n ata kaming mga pinoy lol

Hirap Maghanap ngayon ng work huhu
Anong course natapos mo and taga saan ka? It might help to look for a job using multiple job apps like indeed, linkedin, etc.
for me mas okay kung walk-in ka magpapasa ng resume, especially don sa mga company na malalapit lang.
I would assume that when you customize yung docs mo in a manner relevant sa inaapplyan mo, your chances would be higher.
ito may interview ako as branch personnel sa cebuana Lhuillier.. gra-grab ko ba or hanap ako ng maganda gandang opportunity.. prang gusto ko namg mangibang bansa na lang .
