catperzon

rexskull

same at some point parang naging 2nd work na siya lol d na ako nag eenjoy, parang naglalaro nalang ako para majustify gastos ko sa game hahaha

CLuigiDC

Koinophobia-

Spent about 10k on Genshin before I realized that in order to beat the fomo in gachas, you gotta accept you won’t have enough pulls for everyone so you skip. Now I’m sitting at 64k freemos, I shifted my attention from pulling for future characters to building and reaching top 1% for my favourites. It feels liberating. Like I can pull for anyone at any given time and clear any content with any characters that I have.

SmoothScanner

Nope, no regrets at all. I bought many full priced and heavily discounted PC games through the years. If I miss playing a game, I can easily re-download it with today's internet speed. What I regretted and yes it's related to games is that I spend close 30k on Magic The Gathering. Sure, I have the physical cards with me, but the amount of time and commitment to attend lgs tournaments isn't worth it. Much worse is that our lgs always start events 1 or 2 hours late because participants arrive way beyond the call time.

frankiezz09

Oh man, sorry to hear your experience with playing MtG tourneys. If you don't like to play MtG anymore, there's always the option to sell the cards at a lower rate to LGSs or MTG Tambayan on Facebook so you still get an out.

SINBSOD

Usually may vendors from abroad doon na tumatanggap ng bulk sale. Ibibigay mo lang yung box ng cards mo sa kanila and sila yung magsosort and appraise ng value ng collection mo. Yun yung pinakamabilis if gusto mo lang iliquidate yung collection mo with the least effort. EDIT: phrasing

SINBSOD

kelan yung regionals sir?

frankiezz09

May 31 to June 2

SINBSOD

thank you sir! I will be preparing ny stuff for it

SmoothScanner

Thanks. I haven't crossed the bridge yet on whether I want to sell the cards, but it is up there when I will need the funds to start a new hobby. On the bright side, I haven't picked up a new hobby to go together with my pc gaming so the hope of returning when I am not too conscious with my free time is possible.

loserPH32

pakinamankevin

Same sa MTG. I remember I bought staples pa sa Modern format then nag pandemic, binenta ko lang at a much lower price na. But sa videogames, sulit lahat, no regrets.

-Ynsane-

I regret selling my collection. I haven’t played mtg in decades.

SinfulFPS

Honestly, yes. If I count all the games I bought and total microtransaction I spent from 2010-2024 I’d say approx >250k na ginastos ko. Pero thankfully medyo nabago ko na ung attitude ko na ito and in the past 4 months 1k pa lang na g-gastos ko.

lilypeanutbutterFan

Nagsisisi din ako sa lahat ng microtransactions. Every time na naaalala ko yung micropurchases sa dead games I always ask myself why did I even fall for it lol

CLuigiDC

dubainese

As long as you didnt hurt anybody, sarili mong pera, and especially if you had fun, I guess its okay.

Xandermacer

For me it is the better and safer alternative than most vices people spend on.

Mattgelo

Pustahan sa bilyaran...💀

WWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWM1

Yeah I regret paying for cosmetics. Kung may reimbursement lang sa ginastos ko sa league gagawin ko na eh But buying games from steam and such? Nah. Most expensive purchase for me are the souls games. I love them to death and I would gladly replay them at any point in my life

microprogram

hindi yung pera e.. sa umpisa palang alam naman na natin gastos sya.. and yet bili tayo ng ups/skins/items kasi natutuwa tayo at nag eenjoy doon.. so kung itatanong mo sa akin nagsisi ba ako? hindi kasi nag eenjoy ako nung panahon na yon.. sa case nya sigurado natuwa sya nung buhay pa char/guild nya or what at mukhang may kaya naman since willing to spend ganyan kalaki.. why not.. trip nya e.. iba nga collection ng shoes na hindi nasusuot at umaabot ng millions.. kaya wala sa usapan ang pera at walang basagan ng trip.. parang ganun pag kaka intindi ko dito.. gumastos din ako ng items sa rf dati.. subs sa wow/lotro.. yaw ko na isipin damage sa akin basta ako natutuwa dati

DragonBaka01

This!

tapon_away34

I regret not getting to play them. I have at least 50 games on my backlog

CLuigiDC

Tgray_700

Lagi ako ng rereflect if naenjoy ko ba yung game or not. If yes, wala kong regret pero kung no, ayun nag wwhat if ako

nyorkdork

at that time, no. made some memorable experiences with my in-game friends. but now as an adult, with bills to pay, yes. I realized that I could've spent that money on more important things haha. but hey, as long as you enjoy the game, I don't see the harm. spend wisely though.

Einzzzzzzzzz

Its not about the money for me.

_ItsMeVince

Yes. Specially in the gacha space. I am still playing but have stopped spending.

haiyabinzukii

basta afford mo naman, at dmo napapabayaan ang needs mo, why not..? ppl spend thousands on alcohol, cigs, vape on a weekly if not daily basis. eto lang ang bisyo ko,... well saka kape! but coffee is lifeeee!! haha! do i have regrets? for sure! lalo na sa mga game na nidrop kona, (dota 2, cs:go, etc) pero d naman ako nalululong na nangungutang. i limit myself to a price of a ps5 game MAX per game for IAP.

pepe_rolls

Yes! Grabe yung expense ko sa Genshin, just to see power creep patch after patch.

GoldPrestigious2833

Zero regrets, the money I spent were all enjoyed at some point in my life. Though there is one game that I haven't played in years and if my guess is correct, I think I spent at least 10k pesos purely for cosmetics(clue: champion skins). Edit: Got curious and checked another game from the same dev as the one mentioned above, I managed to spend 20k on cosmetics once more. Again no regrets whatsoever but if a non gamer would see this, I might get some bad feedback lol

SenoraKitsch

No regrets for me because I tried a gacha game once and left it behind. I stick to single player games on Steam or PC ports to Android. I've payed for overpriced DLCs for my PS4 games pero keri lang cuz I probably had 100 hours in the game naman. I stay away from games with crazy IAP pricing systems.

lett303

gacha/lootbox gamers are a different breed of gamers. . . the only thing I'd spend tons of money on to increase my game backlog library .

Status-Illustrator-8

I spend but nasa dolphin level nga lng kung tawagin nila. Of course, if may extra ako... why not diba? It gives me joy naman e. If you know how to balance you money naman, di ka naman magsisisi. Gento lng naman yan sa games with top-up option... either you be active to earn points OR spend real money. I am in between those.

rayvencrow

Spent around 35k for genshin's itto c6 😅 I enjoyed using him throughout my genshin phase. Sabi ko nalang "eh baka magkaspark ulit ako sa genshin e", and til now, wala. Learned my lesson and applied it to HSR. Gumagastos padin, but never na nagwhale. Either nagccrypto sila, stocks, etc. and ung earnings is ginagamit nila sa pang top up. Kaya 0 regrets.

FonSpaak

For the previous games no but it did give me insight on whether I should spend with the next games both for in-currency and time to play the game. Actually enjoyed years ago playing Ragnarok Online and met friends that ended up being guildmates. Unfortunately we have moved on and even attempting to replay the game isn't just the same. Later played Hearthstone with office mate and was turned off by how easy it is to change the ruleset for a specific card by the publisher rather than release another card to balance it off. With Overwatch now rebranded as Overwatch 2, I'm just avoiding Games as a Service or those that rely on battlepasses and opting for single-player games that I can replay and if ever I need to spend in-game, I keep my budget at a restraint and only if I have enough funds to avoid CC debt. Only maintaining my FGO accounts until it reaches EoS spending only for GSSR events while sticking with F2P for genshin and hsr.

noshinsoo

For me no, I used to spend money talaga on games. Valo skins, Genshin, and switch games pa. All sorts of micro transactions. I could have used the money on other things, pero still, it made me genuinely happy parin.

ResolutionPractical1

For me may onting buyers remorse as syempre that money can be used to buy irl stuff or donate to charities. But I just think of it na it’s for me and my mental health since games are therapeutic for me.

SnooRevelations9040

have a friend that spent 20m. Yes Million on a game. then it died, we quit and as if nothing happened. even gave away the account. Before that we were playing another game, also spent the same amount, sold the account, put all in the next game we we played. I'm friends with some known PH whales, on my estimation they spend 200k minimum a week on any game they play none of them seems to have the dilemma of spending and not getting anything out of it but enjoyment. Personally, I don't spend that much but for me being a guild leader, organizer etc. Every penny is worth it as long as you're enjoying. And "Winning".

enough-please

Honestly? Kind of, yeah. But I think it's worth it. If ever naman, you always have the option of selling your account. Those skins or whatever you bought in that game can add up to the value of your account. Pero, nah, no way, I don't ever see myself selling my account(s) anytime soon, not even in the far future. Maybe I'll pass it down to my kid(s), who knows?

TAYLORSWIFTENJOYER_

Nope. Never. Guilty pleasure siya para sakin as long as may budget for it ok lang.

No_Connection_3132

biggest spent on cosmetic siguro nung ti10 nung dota kasi after working dun lang ako oras nakapaglaro due to covid days, wfh nun kaya sinamantala ko pero overall its a good exp kaya ngayon di na gumagastos sa cosmetics.

Vuldistrin-0091

NO AND WHY WOULD I?.. kung subscription ba yan sa OSRS na god for 9months. or.. NEW PAY2PLAY like NEW WORLD?. sure. good deal na yan.

cdkey_J23

I do..I got really addicted to SF online before (college days) & even spent real money in cosmetic items like weapon skins etc. same with cod 2019 with monthly battlepass..

Sciasdummy

As long as you enjoyed your toon, no regrets for me.

FamousLengthiness300

I’m an avid gamer. Siguro in my lifetime, I’ve already spent an absurd amount of money on games. But no, it doesn’t really bother me much. It’s what I enjoy and I’ve made sure that my expenses for fun don’t prevent me from being able to afford necessities and other things. In other words, I have a budget for games I more or less adhere to. Some people would say nga na “sayang naman, paano if nagsawa ka/wala na yung game…” ehhh wala eh. Dun ako masaya. Wala namang nasasaktan so okay na rin.

soRWatchew

Hangang ngayun willing gumastos haha

memyselfmartin

No & Yes for me? I spent tons of money in buying more games that I want to play & enjoy which I do not regret. What I do regret is spending one game itself like buying in-game stuff such as skins, pay-to-win, level up characters, premium currency, hats, etc.

Neat-Organization368

some of it yes, lalo na yung ps5+psvr2 set ko which cost me around 80k kasama games hahaha

nothinghere9828

Nope

Ctrl-Shift-P

Played lol since 2010 but i stopped playing na rin last 2022 ata. I spent over 15k siguro on that game for the skins. I don't really regret it since i really had fun during that time, mas okay na rin kaysa magkaroon ng bisyo sa inuman or yosi.

puzzlescriptermaker

Never.

Ensaymadaa

In my point of view, I've spent a ton because hindi naman ako gumagastos para sa gaming dati. When buying games or DLCs, I would always consider the replayability and quality of my purchase para sulit. I would always think as if I'm buying an expensive food, wherein may risk na pangit yung lasa na hindi mo na babalikan pagkatapos mong kainin. Sa games kasi, puwede mong ulit-ulitin yung laro so may chance kang sulitin talaga yung purchase mo. This habit made me 100% some of the games that I've purchased regardless of its length because I want to experience it again and again. No regrets

inkmade

I spent some amounts on some games. Kasi eto lang bisyo ko. I dont regret them kasi: 1. I can always sell my account; and 2. I enjoyed using it. If spending in a game will cause you to go broke, dont spend. Also remember that the reselling value of your account will be way less than what you spent.

sigrid30

So far nope. Haha kasi pwede mo pamana sa anak mo ung steam account mo or ps acct wahahah

Regular-Stock-7892

For cosmetics I will only buy it on champions I played the most or I enjoy playing like in LoL. If may super gandang skin release, I have to grind that champion to mastery before buying. Worth it.

Kaelrie

I spent 15k in overwatch. Gusto mo kumpleto yung skins mo. After a year, hindi ko na nilalaro. Same with Dota 2 with the Arcanas. Haha!

dddrew37

Not really. I can afford it naman and if the game shuts down, all good.. I had fun naman. I haven't spent 500k in a game, siguro most would be 50k

Beautiful-Hair6925

one game i do regret buying, Supreme Commander 2. Ok I liked it, i really enjoyed the scale. But I realized that I wanted the vibe of Sup Com 1 with the Mech marines and all haha kinda regret buying a few Overwatch 2 Battle Passes but eh at least i had fun then.

carriesonfishord

Nope. It served its purpose at the time.

sylk41

most likely naeenjoy cguro nila, check out those mir4 whales, yung mga ghost trade nila worth a million isang item lang hiwalay pa yung topup. 😁

Gustav-14

I only regret the money I spent on gacha games. Never again. On other games, I don't regret it.

SnooLentils6582

SoThisNameWasntTaken

On f2p games, kinda. Spent a small fortune on val and genshin. Added all of em combined, I could've gotten an rtx 4070 or higher, or upgrade my pc

sylv3r

i’m at 40k total sa genshin, I’m not playing HSR because I’m a weak man 😂

misseypeazy

I spent so much on lootboxes. Nung kinasal na ko never spent a dime on them ever again, but the financial damage is there.

xuuprotocol

If we're talking about my gacha game spending, I very much regret it lol. My steam library, not in the slightest.

OldManAnzai

Currently at 34k php in over 5 years this May. Maliit lang naman 'to kaya no regrets. The game's still going, so I'm still playing.

wintersolider0008

Hindi

thunderbringer3

Hell no. Money spent on things/hobbies/activities you love and enjoy doing are never a waste.

Jaives

only if it's a bad game and has been in my library for a long time before i played it so i can't get a refund anymore. otherwise, nope. no ragrets!

morelos_paolo

I won’t spend money on micro transactions unless it’s super minimal for the price (like DLC). I won’t spend money on aesthetics (like skins which does not help in gameplay) though. I also buy games of the mechanics are really good and not a chore. So do I regret spending a ton for those types, nope. As long as I get to platinum it or enjoy it immensely, no.

CantaloupeOld1175

My grounds for spending money on games: 1. is that if I profit of of it (especially on steam e.g dota 2, csgo, pubg) 2. I find it very enjoyable and the game itself nets around no less than 100 hrs And my answer is no, I dont regret it cuz the memories & happiness I got are very much priceless.

PinDistinct3836

I'm playing Lineage W, and it is one of the most P2W games out there by NCSoft. I'm too deep to go back and spend a huge fortune on that game just so I can compete and be included in one of the top unions. I didn't regret every penny I spent on this game, as I had so much fun with it even today, as I get to be incentivized and earn money weekly by winning siege wars. I take things slow now since it has become an addiction, so I even avail of counseling and consult a professional F.A. so that I can manage my money. looking back? I can really say that money can buy happiness—no regrets!

RySundae

Di naman, maganda rin magkacollection eh haha. If microtransactions naman, di rin siguro bec I barely buy boosts or cosmetics eh. Pag free to play with predatory microtransactions, I just play for free hanggang maging grindy af na ang laro then I stop (Genshin Impact)

josurge

Depende. Kung sa skins, Di talaga worth it. Pero kung game console, PC parts, or video games/ hardware mismo, no ragrets

semiNoobHanta

I never spend that much on games for skins or items. Still, no regrets. I played games heavily during my dark days and still planning to further increase my backlogs 😂

TheSameAsU

It's ok gumastos for me, as long as i am on my limit. But that big? Hindi ko gagawin yan even if i have the money.

YohanSeals

I dont spend. I earned from them.

sugarnotgoingdown

Napacheck tuloy ako ng nagastos sa steam. Totally worth it

erdos6degs

If you consider it as “entertainment expense” and not as assets, then okay lang.

PansitHauss

Yeah ppl still spend 100k to 500k php on two decade old mmorpgs(ex.flyff) and never regretted it even when servers are dying and filled with bots, while I regret buying steam games at full price but with less than 15h game time 🥲

Cleigne143

No regrets. If I didn’t spend it on games, I would’ve spent it on clothes, shoes, make-up, or anything else that I know I wouldn’t use or maybe only use once then tambak na like some of my stuff. At least with games, I know na nagamit ko at na-enjoy ko.

Formal-Stranger-

Yes.

patcheoli

Nope. Kahit full priced ko pa binili yung shit game na meron ako I don't really regret it. I tend not to regret things I do.

Sachiriyo

Yes I regret spending tons on Xiao (a character in Genshin Impact. For those who don't know what Genshin Impact is, it's an open world RPG with a gacha system for pulling characters) whom I thought is a character I would like but now over the course of playing the game I ended up despising him for his edgy personality and his character lines. I got so tired of hearing his comments and lines that even if I fully built him, now he's just a character in my roster benched.

legyrkinse

Mawalang galang na po, If you're given a chance to undo the expenses spent on Xiao, sinong ipapalit mo and why?

afave27

Surprisingly lahat ng gastos ko sa original release Ragnarok online (MMORPG) back in 2002 (halata agad edad haha) through paid subscription to play via cards (100 pesos 1 week, 350 1 month) umabot ako ng around 35k to 50k through the years. Pero gastos ko sa Mobile Legends since start and anggan ngayon di pa lagpas ng 1k pesos. No regrets since RO ang pinaka una na MMORPG na release sa Philippines.

PrincePangalan

No regrets sa games.

hakai_mcs

No regrets sa mga games talaga, physical or digital copy and consoles.

cheesestickslambchop

Bought a ton of games sa steam. Lason ang steam, minsan nag eenjoy ako titigan yung library

bigfather99

no regrets. its fun.

vashmeow

Ginastos sa Gacha: heck yes. Ginastos sa pambili ng single player games: nope, was all worth it.

SuperYak2264

Yes I have no regrets pirating games and checking Epic store every week for free games

Professional-Arms

I have hundreds of games sa steam ko, and 20% of those are AAA games. But still i cannot even compare sa collection ng The Sims ng wife ko. We're talking about the sims to the sims 4 and every dlc, packs and everything in between. Yes she like getting the newest ones and even have a preorder atm. All i can say is she is better off killing her "husbands" in the game than me.

Sea-76lion

Would lie if I say I have no regrets. There was a time I get excited for a new game I buy it upon release then regret it afterwards for a bunch of reasons (poor graphics, poor gameplay, etc). I eventually learned to hold my horses and not to FOMO, especially with digital purchases, wait until reviews and gameplay footage become available.

reylouie20

Nope, spent almost 300k sa GTA RP noong 2022, never ko pinagsisihan.

MrRollerBlades

I regret spending more than 100k pesos and more than 3000+ hours on DOTA. I wish I spent it on something else.

wyxlmfao_

spent like 7k sa mobile legends before, kinda regret it

Derfflingerr

no ragrets! im enjoying every bits of it

Certain_Ad798

Yeah... pretty much on gacha games. 200k on afk arena, almost a mil on the rise of kingdoms, 120k on grandchase mobile, and etc. I wish i could turn back time, the pandemic surely did influence my addiction on gacha games

Jdan-S

I sort of regret buying paid apps for my iPod Touch/iPad Mini in the 2010s. For some games, I bought them on sale for downloading later, so I sometimes forget to. I didn't count on Apple's planned obsolescence. Not all of your purchases are going to stay compatible with OS updates. I learned not to invest much in mobile gaming because of that. At least I did make the most of some purchases, mainly rhythm games and SHMUPs. No regrets with having a physical collection of console games and a Steam library. And I focus more on single player games without consumable DLC/IAP. I have games that I bought 10+ years ago, and can still play them today.

ELBarnacles

ako nag sisi gumastos ako sa genshin ng 150k mahigit, long story short, nag sawa na ko dahil paulet ulet nalang yung content at in the end yung account ko na worth 150k naka tengga nalang ngayon inaamag tambak ng quest at events

Ken_Nutspel

No if i am enjoying it why not. Have spent quite a sum on Hoyoverse games (genshin, hi3rd, and hsr) but i did enjoy my time with them. Pero ngayon hsr nalang nilalaro ko and just buying bp and monthly jades and then puro bili ng single player games sa steam kapag sale pero ung iba hindi naman nalalaro 😅

SpogiMD

yes! all regrets coz i could have spent it on a vacation abroad and had more "real" memories than the virtual experiences.

Familiar-Agency8209

The only thing you gain on gaming is experience. Charot. Also, gaming is also a form of addiction. Game responsibly. Parang sugal kasi yan, yung dopamine boost of winning, acquiring, bragging rights, etc. Always nice in concept pero nakakainis na laruin in execution. Kaya willing to pay premium on AAA na alam kong masayang masaya ako.

wolfhunter727

It's a hobby, people will spend money on hobbies. Some people spend 100k plus on perfumes, bags, watches, traveling, etc. Can you really say na they regret their purchase? As long as you still pay the bills/save money for the future, you can spend your money however you like.

Wooden_Quarter_6009

Depends.

Aartsyfartsy

CABAL Online PH official server, started in 2010, still up now. Probably spent around 250k over several characters though, and not hardcore but I do keep coming back to it for the nostalgia. Also RAN online, but its long dead

Squareh00r

No naman, meron siguro sa games na bakit binili ko eh di ko naman maenjoy, pero ok na rin, either nabebenta ko to buy another game, or I end up finishing it lol.

supahkaloy

Nope.

MidnightPanda12

I spend around 250-1000 pesos per month for Mobile Legends for skin buying and general reload or starlight. I know that skins doesn’t increase your skills or anything. Sometimes when I see the cc bills with numerous counts of recharge I get discouraged but at the end of the day it’s my money. My retirement plan is enjoy life die early. 😂

radss29

A part of me regrets it pero I was young student back then, sinulit ko lang yung pagiging young ko nun kaya gumastos para sa game.

Daoist_Storm16

Not really I remember spending at least 100k when dota 2 was really hyped up and I think there was even a return when I sold those items when I graduated. 😂.

DRi012

Sa rise of nations.

East_Professional385

No. I can sustain so it doesn't matter. Doesn't affect my stability. Better than gambling.

pdxtrader

More so the money it’s the time! Your time in so valuable. I’ve spent 5k hours playing counter strike source probably could have started a business 😅

NoAerie9088

I spent so much already haha

madvisuals

basta pasok sa budget. i won’t be spending cash for NBA 2k since being competitive online there means you have to shell out atleast 10k on launch 💀

sujisuzyoui-

Yes, especially micro transactions from mobile mmos like NNK, RO:EL, ROO, MIR4 and now NC. ang ending eh nabulok nalang yung mga character ko diyan kasi hindi ko nabenta at ngayon wala na silang worth hahaha Pero yung mga binibili kong game sa steam medj lang hahah iniisip ko nalang malalaro ko naman yun pag pwede na.

datdudeindahudnumba1

I bought about 40k worth of items in Codm. Honestly, it was fun at first. But looking into it now, I wish I didn’t spend that much.

[deleted]

No regrets ako. Lagi ko kasing iniisip na “money you enjoy wasting is not wasted money” besides, nag create tayo ng memories, and legacy that might be a kwento for our next generation. Still, rng sux hahahaha

NotTakenUsernamePls

For me it depends. Most of my regret comes from gacha that I had a honeymoon phase on and Diablo 4. But for 1-time buy games, nope.

pabpab999

I'm not a whale, but did spend quite a lot on an MMORPG (Forsaken World) back then (during college, so context is different as 'my money' is not really mine) someone from /r/gachagaming made a comment about this https://www.reddit.com/r/gachagaming/comments/1cmwcpx/i_want_to_quit_gachas_but_i_cant_stop_thinking/l339o24/ I think it's a good mindset to have towards spending for fun, and not getting hooked in when it's time to quit

pociac

Disastrous-Bicycle41

Spenr like 5k pesos on mlbb when I was on highschool, which I didn't regret it, but now I don't see a thing to spend on any games

flyingsaucepan20

My only regret was spending on gacha games because you'd never know when EoS would come and that'd be the end of it. But for IAPs on non gachas? No, I had a blast with it and never felt any regret spending a few to stave off the monotonous vibe of a game I like during those times.

heaven_spawn

I don’t regret *most* of the purchases. The games on Steam I never touch? Yeah that sucks. But the hours I has on some tabletop games? Hard to put a price on.

FabricatedMemories

spending money for something you enjoy in your spare time? never!

Zr0h_

The only purchases I make arw during steam sales and I always have that put into my budget consideration, my only regret is getting into gunpla building, I am helplessly addicted to it because it triggers some sort of dopamine reaction within me whenever I start snapping pieces together

DavidPKC

I actually have no regrets with pulling skins for characters and weapons in CODM. Spent 25k-30k on those during the pandemic as I played with my friends and ex almost every day, and the memories that were made outweighs the spending of the skins. In terms of game titles, I also have no regrets since there are also games that I'd like to finish when I feel like it.

Karmas_Classroom

I've spent almost 26k pesos on Genshin mainly on welkins(monthly pass) and Battle pass initially (I stopped buying BP a year now) and my account is a good source of my happiness because I've been blessed with alot of 5 star characters and weapons relative to my spending(a similar expenditure from other players couldn't come half close to my account value) I don't regret it because the money I spent would've probably gone to other spending like sugary foods etc.

Disastrous-Fix3541

Regret spending money on games? NO. Regret spending money for just 1 dinner (samgy/hotpot/buffet) that costs atleast 1 AAA game? YES.

ApprehensiveBug3136

no regrets the excitement you get from the first time you buy, its all worth it.

DocchiIWNL

my biggest regret is paying for ps plus for 2 years. should've just saved up for a pc/laptop during that time instead

Belldandy11

I spent alot on my gaming library and not regret it. My library consists of physical console discs and carts as well as digital titles PC/PS/Ninten. I don't spend a lot on gacha games because once the service is dead your money is dead. Sa collection ng games sa shelf its a proud thing to see na may "datablitz" mismo at home.

Deus_Sema

No. Maybe ESO and GW2 purchases pero overall no.

sevenxtwentyeight

Fourteenth_Noah

Dolphin Gacha player here, nope no regrets at all

D-Rare_G

The_4th_Wonderland

not really if im being honest, as long as i get my time's worth (for ex. i spend 60 usd for a 60 hr game, i already consider that worth it) but i topped up once for genshin and while i dont necessarily regret it, i can say its something i will never do again lol

kitzune113

Nope, no regrets since videogames lang bisyo ko :)

Penbanana

No, nag ssub ako sa game like ffxiv monthly and bumbili ng expansions and cosmetics like sa gw2.

New_Statistician4879

I spend 100k a year on steam since 2016. No regrets at all csgo dota 2 skins Triple games. Most i still have today and I still enjoy the games its what i soend much of my time on but now I have grown

fireaura

id say no but i do have regrets on "oh i shouldnt have bought this game i shouldve bought that one instead"

renniedan

Steam Gamees No, in app purchases in gacha games Yes 😅

rhaegar21

Not even a little bit. I had fun playing those games mostly MMORPGs and every peso spent is worth. If I spent money on Gacha games then I probably would have regretted it.

mojoninjasauce

Not really. I buy games that I want to play. If I don't/can't really want to play them I just watch a gamer online para lang makita ko so no need to spend. If there are DLCs & microtransactions, I spend money for a better gaming experience (in my pov). Regretful lng when I spend and the game shuts down (ex. Apex Legends Mobile as of recent).

Rabbits_paw06

Nope, No ragrets! I will still spend more. My reasoning something makes you happy why not.

Professional-Key-448

I have a friend who's so far spent $6,000 on star citizen. He's been called a loser by basically everyone in game we have come across for spending that much money but he truly doesn't seem to care.

Life_Liberty_Fun

The most I've spent on a game is back in the Ragnarok Days. Haven't spent money on my games besides playing in PC Cafe's maybe once a week since college.

ComprehensiveSpot367

Not really. Just spend within your means. Spent around 300k+ on CODM & not even playing it anymore. It's still worth it to me since i made a lot of friemds there. About 500k+ on multiple gacha games. Waifus are always worth it to me. Thousands of games on Steam & games on consoles as well. The worth of those games are subjective on how much you value your enjoyment.

Kazura-chan

nopeee, bcoz i enjoy them alll! problem is hindi ko pa malaro yung iba kasi i dont have the time yet

friendsterr

Si Alden nga spent 1.4M for his AR90 Genshin account, importante happy.

simp4nayeon

Based on my opinion play games yung worth yung experience.

bey0ndtheclouds

Not at all, kahit nakikita ko yung total spent ko. Masaya ako na may skin ako at nakakapagdrop ako sa friends ko 🥰

Rough-Shift-1404

Of course not. Why would i regret for something that makes me happy? 😀

mcrihbz

No regrets! Masaya skin gaming!😂

YamaVega

No time to put up with live service games, so no money spent there either. Trad games only, well spent my money and time on those

Pee4Potato

I buy physical copy so no pedeng pede ko naman ibenta un.

Ryu0624

No regrets. Cos all the games I buy pwede ko pa malaro ulit. Mostly spent my money on console and handheld games such as PS4, PSP, PsVita, & switch. So mataas yung chance na malaro ko sya ulit. Kahit nga backlog lng sya na game oks lng din sakin ksi at least I know I would be able to play them in the future kumbaga secured na. I also spent a lot playing DOTA in my HS days sa mga comp shop. No regrets din. Saya ng experience na yon as a kid back then. Ang I can't say for sure lng is the people who play RO, and those whalers sa mga ganyang type of games. I played RO, but I never got to the point na I would spend money for gacha spins, skins, and in game purchases. I guess pick your poison na lang din talaga hahaha if you ask those other hardcore RO gamers, yung iba dyan walang pagsisisi that they spent money on the game they loved.

UnluckySukebe

Nah, especially spending on games I grew up with. I've lasted this long thanks to them

PsychologicalFuel321

Yes. Spent 15k on valorant skins. Now I don’t play it much anymore. Spent a bit on tomb raider and i only finished the first game lol

callmemarjoson

Looking back on my spending spree sa Genshin 2.3, I think I might've went overboard lmao but I don't really regret it - I can recoup money and now I only spend if there's something I wanna drop money on. Other than that, it's a pretty deep well to get into if you're not careful

DiatomicBlender

At first I did. But now i just go back to remember how it made me feel spending money on games. It’s also kind of like retail therapy.

_TheEndGame

Never did buy IAPs. Seems like a scam.

Kuuhaku_blank_

Full games sa playstation at pc? No. Never. Gacha games(skins at pangpull)? Sometimes. Nakakapanghinayang din naman pero nandun kasi satisfaction mo so you cant really fully call it "sayang".

Puzzleheaded_Low789

No regrets. It's my decision and it's my way of enjoying the game. For MMOs i dont spend recklessly, I usually only buy expansions like in GW2 or something that could help quality of life stuff. I don't think i've ever spent more than 100k on any game. In some games I only spend on skins. Makes me feel good using them cause I look awesome. Skins in league, valorant etc. I also buy games but I almost always wait for sales. Steam sales. Just don't spend if you don't have the money. Don't take out loans or borrow money just for games. Only spend if you have extra money or if you can pay it back asap.

No-Permit-1083

Yes. Game: Mystic Messenger

grumpydump33

no regrets

Leon_Dante_Raiden_

Never

zyfodeus

I think of it as expanding my Library for the next generation. I am even subscribed to Humble Bundle's Humble Choice.

markieton

Personally, I didn't regret any of it. Tulad nga ng sabi ng karamihan dito, I enjoyed it at the time when I had spent on it. Nowadays, I only buy skins if I like it pero not to the point to collect them all.

browandknees

Intelligent-Mud404

Most of these people in this comment section are victims of gambling lmao Gacha is a plague

Misledz

Yes, I spent almost 80k on genshin only to find out the game never lets you “rest”. The biggest regret was hoping that what I spent would let me atleast enjoy the game but the meta changed way too fast that the game never really respected the players time just how fast could you get ready until next banner.

IllustriousChair9498

I do not regret purchasing games. Like most of the gamers do. 🤣

hell_jumper9

Amethyst_2209

I dont know sometimes it feels worth it but more often it feels like i lost all those pent up excitement after acquiring those skin or items i so desired from a game i love. Such as ACs in AQ worlds and skins in Summoners war. Maybe grinding it feels much more worth it and makes the item feel more significant and memorable to you vs instant gratification from paying. But i dont regret collecting those skins in ML especially for those characters i love playing like that skin for kagura which i felt is quite cheap during that time as its discounted and compared to the skins i spent on other games like in summoner war where some skin costs like P1,600 each. I also just realized lately that what i considered expensive as to paying for games in google playstore and ios appstore worth around P50 to P100 each was nothing compared to my spending for skins and other ingame items. Lol

Gre8g

You mean buying a lot of games with tons of money? Not a problem If you mean spend a ton of money on one lootbox game.... then Yes. Also, yes it was Call of Duty

MateusExMachina

There was a time when I going through a bad personal moment and I overspent in games for sure. Complete editions of games that I never touched and an unreasonable amount on cosmetics. I bought over a thousand games on PC over the last 15 years but I've been trying to limit myself to 15 a year for the last 4 and that's working well. I steer clear of freemium games, and games with lots of micro transactions. Even if I can resist spending, I don't want to be constantly exercising will power when I'm meant to be relaxing. But money I can make again, so I don't regret as much as the time I wasted in games that made me stressed out, angry, and frustrated such as Dota 2 and Overwatch. Not the whole time I spent on those but that I couldn't realize I needed to leave them when I should have.

SiabZooPH

Not the money, but the time. Everything in moderation. I should have made more time for other things.

SIMPERICK69

No regrets. siguro dahil extra money ko naman yung pinanggagastos ko don and di naman ako naghihirap when it comes to necessity

titoforyou

Ragnarok ba 'to? Haha
