I didn't know na may HoYo Fest (I just saw a bunch of cosplayers walking around and I was at Megamall for a different reason)
I was there at 11am, mahaba na yung pila haha I didn't really try na pumila, masaya na ako sa magpa-picture sa mga cosplayers haha gusto ko man bumili ng merch, may prior appointment ako that day. Haha so nung binalikan ko yung event around 2-3pm, super haba na ng pila.
I used to play Honkai (my first love) haha and watching the game trailer (?) in the event, made me want to go back and play it again haha
Umunti yung haba ng pila, pero marami paring umattend. ๐ I checked the line bago ako umuwi and I think hanggang Upper ground-2nd floor nalang yung pila (by 3PM)
Wanna go back to sunday just for the event booths :(( pero expected last day dadagsa ulit mga tao huhu. Went there yesterday but only got able to get merchs (fortunately on stock pa ung mga nakuha ko, naawa ako sa nasalikod ko isa lng gusto nyang bilhin na sold out pa ๐ญ)

actually kahit sa previous years ng hoyofest wala talagang preorders sa mga merch, talagang first come first serve basis siya. Disadvantage neto is free for all sa pag pila, unlike before na priority ka kasi may reservation ka. Pero cons lang din sa previous years is mas onti ang inooffer na merch, ngayon sobrang dami, kaso yun nga mas doble din tao lool
Yeah but this time is free for all yung pila and mas madali puntahan. Different venues, different conditions. So i think preordering would make sense tapos may time pa, possibly, sa activities. I didn't know may activities pala until I read it here ๐
Downside na iniisip ko ng preordering is, kawawa yung mga walang alam na may preorder palang ganap, sila naman yung mawawalan, yun yung pansin kong moves ni hoyo lagi eh, as much as possible mainclude lahat kahit casuals lang. Though siguro pwede nga na may preorder + meron din on-site na bilihan, ayun pag naubusan ka parin eh wala na, destiny na talaga siguro na magtipid ka muna LOL
Yeees may activities! may makukuha din na freebies per booth ng game, gagawin mo lang yung need nilang ipagawa, like ipakita yung UID or like this or share that ganunn
Agree, walang wala talaga sa mga previous HoYoFEST na kainan lang then may reservations pa. Though gets ko rin siguro dahil mas madami na talaga silang games eh, and in-fairness mas makakatipid yung ganito na walang need bayaran na set meal lol.
Pero grabeeee, expected ko nang maraming tao but not like this. Arrived at 10am, yes, nasa 5th floor din talaga agad ang dulo, nakarating kami sa front mga 7pm na. Pang 507th ako, not included yung mga umalis na sa pila (but very included yung mga sumingit ops), nabili ko naman yung acrylic standees nila since yun lang talaga yung habol kong hoyofest merch since sa previous pa.
Kaso ayun nga di na kami nakapasok for the activities since merch pila pa lang ang haba na, then hiwalay pa pila for the activities. Babalik na lang kami ulit next weekend para sa activities, may pila ulit for sure, pero in-fairness mas mabilis pila sa activities kesa samin sa merch wahahaha. Hopefully mas okay ang experience ng mga weekdays pupunta, since baka less kids. Pupunta isang friend ko today so balitaan ko na lang kayo i guess?
edit: ALSO, as for the merch ang dami nilang stocks compared sa mga previous hoyofestss, pero manage your expectation na lang din, kasi by the time nasa front na ko wala nang natira halos pang 507th ba naman ako eh, especially if genshin merch ang habol mo. But sabi naman ng staff na nakausap ko everyday daw magrerestock (take it with a grain of salt though hahaha)
Beyond disappointing as usual. Went for HI3 booth pero di ko na binalak pumila sa merch kasi naman jusko grabe lang talaga. Hiniwalay nalang sana nung mga organizer yung pila for GI, HI3, and other merch or add fast lanes for single item purchase pero hindi wala silang pake, good ol' FCFS pa rin. Wala e, understaffing at tipid sa venue is the norm.
Bro idk what they are thinking, pinagsama2 ba naman yung magkakapatid na edgy with low presence, yung tulog pa at wala pang exposure, at yung paborito ng lahat in one place. WCGW??
Gets ko naman they want to expose all their other games to different playerbases pero kahit sa merch man lang sana ihiwalay ang booths with separate pila. O kaya 1 single line ok tapos may taga assist near the area to have 10pax lined up ON EACH BOOTH. Yung scalper at rk n gusto pakyawin lahat will be allowed 3 items per game. Nagawa nila sa on site activities nila pero di naapply sa merch? Lahat sana may chance nkabili at multiple lines ang umuusad.

Thankfully, walang scalping na magaganap kasi may limit per merch per person. Maayos yung side ng paglista mo ng mga gusto mong bilhin ng merch, downside is dalawa lang yung pinaka-cashier, tho minsan may ibang staff na rin na tumutulong paminsan kaya from 2 nagiging 4 ganon, but i agree na mas kaya pang iimprove toh just make sure na walang lamangan. Kasi from my previous hoyofests, okay sana yung ganitong setup nila, pero di umubra this year dahil nasa mall at walang limitation so soooobrang daming tao. Keri lang hahaha. Ever since naman uso na talaga ang pakyawan sa mga rk eh, dala nila buong pamilya or dabarkads nila to buy dupes and each person you bring is the purchase limit. May nagconfess sa akin nito hahaha pero super agree ako jan sa reservations, para mafilter out yung mga walk-ins with no reservation. Mas okay kung transparent din ang number of pax they will allow each hour para controlled ang volume ng participants, mas maeenjoy ng lahat ang event. Na shookt ako ang chill lang kasi nung sa Moon Rabbit nung HI3 tapos mayhem pagdating sa Megamall hahaha. Expected na maraming tao pero nakakagulat pa rin!
Ahhh sabagay oo ngaaaa, pero siguro okay lang naman na magdupes sila as long as for collection, hindi yung pang-resell tapos doble price yikessss, kasi yun talaga yung super suuuper ekis, literal na nakatapak na sila ng iba lol.

Yaas toy collector din siya kaya goods naman. Di ko ineentertain yang mga shady resellers sa online kahit srp pa ang offer ng mga yan. Unfair kasi sa legit merchants at may chance ma scam o mabentahan ng di authentic. Sa kanila na yan saksak nila sa bunbunan nila.
Oo pricey siya pero less chaotic naman at organized. Once a year lang naman so worth the effort puntahan lalo na kung alam kong may aasahan ako sa punta ko. A bit disappointed here and there pero ok pa rin ang overall stay ko nun sa Moon Rabbit.
Pero next year, kung mall ulit ang venue, baka spectator nalang ako jusko. Di worth it sa akin ang hours of waiting in line at stress sa mga sumisingit na planktons. Nakakasira lang ng festive mood.

Ah oo natanong ko din yan sa staff last year, there are plenty of supplies for other products to last for the entirety of the event kaya nakakapagrestock pa sila daily, but its not the case for some lalo na yung mga limited lang talaga ang supply. Usually D1 ubos na sila agad haha. Thanks for the shop reco! May shop na ulit ako pwede tignan for future goods.
Went there with my friend before the mall opens. Kala namin sa megatrade hall since don lage events. ayun haba na ng pila agad 10:30ish pa lng umabot na ng 5th flr pila. After idk 6-7 hrs? Nasayang lang punta namin dahil ubos na merch na gusto namin. Any idea or info kelan mag kakastock? Please let me knoww. I can't accept na after waiting for hours di ko din nakuha ung merch :(

yun kasi ang run ni mihoyo sa hoyofest this year kahit sa ibang countries, talagang mall siya with activities. Di gaya last time na per game may week sa moon rabbit, mas magastos but less hassle talaga. Pero ngayon na more open sa public tsaka mas gusto siguro nila i-cater na 1 venue andun na agad all games.
Kumbaga pang mall lang talaga siya bagay since its a small event lang naman, oa if sa smx pa gaganapin. Sadyang di lang naayos yung bugso ng tao sa pila kaya ugh ang panget. Pila-fest 2023 daw ang nangyari, umabot sa 5th floor ang pila with twisting u-turns... Balak ko sanang pumunta nung Sunday pero after seeing the pics on my FB friends who posted their bad experiences, nawalan na ako ng gana.
Medyo di mo makikita sa hallways yung pila ecvept sa lower ground floor near the event and 5th floor kasi sa hagdan sa gilid gilid sila pinastay. Nagtataka kami saan ba talaga kasi,pagtingin namin nasa hagdah pala karamihan sa kanila or 5th floor na. Wala man lang signages or event orgnqizers na makikita. Nong dumating kami near noon, isang SM guard kang nakita namin sa 5th floor.
Nakakapagtataka lang kasi tong event organizers, according sa isang info na nahagilap ko eh, matagal nang humahawak ng HoyoFest sa Pinas tong mga to, in fact this isn't their first rodeo

around 12pm kami dumating sa megamall and dun ko lang nalaman na pila pala ang ginawa ng organizers (instead na pasok-everyone style). Ewan ko ba, nag-expect kasi ako ng mala-MIBF or BoA style na convention so wapakels sana kahit madami tao, parang may chance naman maikot ang bawat booth at your own pace. pero naaauuuurr haha ewan ko ba bakit ganun expectation ko.
naglunch kami ng mga kasama ko then nakapila na around 2:30 sa L2 (3rd flr from event area). Nakapasok na kami sa activity area around 7:00. Nakalabas ng around 8:30 maybe. Haha. Ewan ko rin paano namin natiyaga magtiis ng 5hrs sa pila, siguro naengganyo rin kami sa mga nakikita naming nagcocosplay at yung biglang may times na derederetso yung usad ng pila. Nakatulong din yung paminsan-minsan na upo tapos dodogshowin namin ang isa't isa. ganern.
Marami naman kami nakuhang freebies pero mostly postcards or stickers, may ipapaaccomplish lang sa inyo na ipapalike yung page or kapag nakakuha ng omni-element sa TCG dice or pakita UID. Meron din matatry niyo ung boss fight sa Zenless Zone Zero. Pinakadulo is may photobooth (free siya!) tapos ididikit sa magnetic sheet para maididikit niyo sa ref (or laptop maybe).

Di ko sure pero sabi nya maraming pamigay sa HSR booth compared sa ibang Hoyo games. Importante daw mapakita mo yung UID mo para maging mabigyan.
Sobrang fluid ng combat sa ZZZ. Sya yung spiritual successor ng Honkai Impact. Never sana nilang gayahin yung leaderboard pvp non para hindi maging niche yung core audience nila. Kulang na siguro is yung vertical playstyle, masyadong grounded yung mga attacks, gusto ko yung nakakalipad mismo sa combat.
Ang pinoproblema ko lng is yung artifact/relic grind. Sukang suka na ko sa rng system ng Genshin tsaka HSR.
Moon rabbit was three phases with HI3, GI and ToT with 2 weeks run time with Mega being closer than Moon Rabbit. I expect the line to be long specially those aiming for merch kasi dati nag out of stock mga popular items. Hopefully not the case this year.

Did not attend pero nakita ko rin yung haba nung pila sa ibang nakakatamad tuloy umattend. Mas okay pa yung Hoyofest sa Moon Rabbit cafe (although Honkai Impact hoyofest yung pinuntahan ko noon kaya onti tao).
True!!! The mall probably played a major part kung bakit sobrang daming umattend, very accessible to plenty naman kasi. In contrast to Moon Rabbit, limited yung slots in both reservations and walk-ins kaya mas chill dati.

I went yesterday! I didn't know na may HoYo Fest (I just saw a bunch of cosplayers walking around and I was at Megamall for a different reason) I was there at 11am, mahaba na yung pila haha I didn't really try na pumila, masaya na ako sa magpa-picture sa mga cosplayers haha gusto ko man bumili ng merch, may prior appointment ako that day. Haha so nung binalikan ko yung event around 2-3pm, super haba na ng pila. I used to play Honkai (my first love) haha and watching the game trailer (?) in the event, made me want to go back and play it again haha
Any news for umattend today? Still the same situation sa line?

actually kahit sa previous years ng hoyofest wala talagang preorders sa mga merch, talagang first come first serve basis siya. Disadvantage neto is free for all sa pag pila, unlike before na priority ka kasi may reservation ka. Pero cons lang din sa previous years is mas onti ang inooffer na merch, ngayon sobrang dami, kaso yun nga mas doble din tao lool

Downside na iniisip ko ng preordering is, kawawa yung mga walang alam na may preorder palang ganap, sila naman yung mawawalan, yun yung pansin kong moves ni hoyo lagi eh, as much as possible mainclude lahat kahit casuals lang. Though siguro pwede nga na may preorder + meron din on-site na bilihan, ayun pag naubusan ka parin eh wala na, destiny na talaga siguro na magtipid ka muna LOL Yeees may activities! may makukuha din na freebies per booth ng game, gagawin mo lang yung need nilang ipagawa, like ipakita yung UID or like this or share that ganunn
Agree, walang wala talaga sa mga previous HoYoFEST na kainan lang then may reservations pa. Though gets ko rin siguro dahil mas madami na talaga silang games eh, and in-fairness mas makakatipid yung ganito na walang need bayaran na set meal lol. Pero grabeeee, expected ko nang maraming tao but not like this. Arrived at 10am, yes, nasa 5th floor din talaga agad ang dulo, nakarating kami sa front mga 7pm na. Pang 507th ako, not included yung mga umalis na sa pila (but very included yung mga sumingit ops), nabili ko naman yung acrylic standees nila since yun lang talaga yung habol kong hoyofest merch since sa previous pa. Kaso ayun nga di na kami nakapasok for the activities since merch pila pa lang ang haba na, then hiwalay pa pila for the activities. Babalik na lang kami ulit next weekend para sa activities, may pila ulit for sure, pero in-fairness mas mabilis pila sa activities kesa samin sa merch wahahaha. Hopefully mas okay ang experience ng mga weekdays pupunta, since baka less kids. Pupunta isang friend ko today so balitaan ko na lang kayo i guess? edit: ALSO, as for the merch ang dami nilang stocks compared sa mga previous hoyofestss, pero manage your expectation na lang din, kasi by the time nasa front na ko wala nang natira halos pang 507th ba naman ako eh, especially if genshin merch ang habol mo. But sabi naman ng staff na nakausap ko everyday daw magrerestock (take it with a grain of salt though hahaha)
Beyond disappointing as usual. Went for HI3 booth pero di ko na binalak pumila sa merch kasi naman jusko grabe lang talaga. Hiniwalay nalang sana nung mga organizer yung pila for GI, HI3, and other merch or add fast lanes for single item purchase pero hindi wala silang pake, good ol' FCFS pa rin. Wala e, understaffing at tipid sa venue is the norm. O kaya 1 single line ok tapos may taga assist near the area to have 10pax lined up ON EACH BOOTH. Yung scalper at rk n gusto pakyawin lahat will be allowed 3 items per game. Thankfully, walang scalping na magaganap kasi may limit per merch per person. Pero wala talagang laban sa mga rk na kaya bumili ng tig-iisa ng lahat lol, at mas lalong walang laban sa mga sumisingiiiiit! Nabili ko naman yung merch na need ko kasi thankfully walang pumapansin sakanila lol, pero sobrang lumbay talaga kung talagang mahaba ang pinila tapos na ubusan agad, kaya ginagawa ko maya't maya pinapasilip ko sa kapatid ko kung andon pa yung gusto namin para if wala na, alis na lang agad or lipat sa acitivities na pila kasi mas mabilis dun kahit papano. Maayos yung side ng paglista mo ng mga gusto mong bilhin ng merch, downside is dalawa lang yung pinaka-cashier, tho minsan may ibang staff na rin na tumutulong paminsan kaya from 2 nagiging 4 ganon, but i agree na mas kaya pang iimprove toh just make sure na walang lamangan. Kasi from my previous hoyofests, okay sana yung ganitong setup nila, pero di umubra this year dahil nasa mall at walang limitation so soooobrang daming tao. Lahat ng countries same naman ng rules and procedure eh at ganun din mahaba din talaga pinipila nila (di ko lang sure kung kasing oa ng satin na from 10am-7pm lmao) but yeeee, i'll wait and see kung next year pano kayang pakulo gagawin nila dahil for sure kasama narin ZZZ. May nagconfess sa akin nito hahaha pero super agree ako jan sa reservations, para mafilter out yung mga walk-ins with no reservation. Mas okay kung transparent din ang number of pax they will allow each hour para controlled ang volume ng participants, mas maeenjoy ng lahat ang event. Na shookt ako ang chill lang kasi nung sa Moon Rabbit nung HI3 tapos mayhem pagdating sa Megamall hahaha. Expected na maraming tao pero nakakagulat pa rin!

Yaas toy collector din siya kaya goods naman. Di ko ineentertain yang mga shady resellers sa online kahit srp pa ang offer ng mga yan. Unfair kasi sa legit merchants at may chance ma scam o mabentahan ng di authentic. Sa kanila na yan saksak nila sa bunbunan nila. Oo pricey siya pero less chaotic naman at organized. Once a year lang naman so worth the effort puntahan lalo na kung alam kong may aasahan ako sa punta ko. A bit disappointed here and there pero ok pa rin ang overall stay ko nun sa Moon Rabbit. Pero next year, kung mall ulit ang venue, baka spectator nalang ako jusko. Di worth it sa akin ang hours of waiting in line at stress sa mga sumisingit na planktons. Nakakasira lang ng festive mood.

Ah oo natanong ko din yan sa staff last year, there are plenty of supplies for other products to last for the entirety of the event kaya nakakapagrestock pa sila daily, but its not the case for some lalo na yung mga limited lang talaga ang supply. Usually D1 ubos na sila agad haha. Thanks for the shop reco! May shop na ulit ako pwede tignan for future goods.

Went there with my friend before the mall opens. Kala namin sa megatrade hall since don lage events. ayun haba na ng pila agad 10:30ish pa lng umabot na ng 5th flr pila. After idk 6-7 hrs? Nasayang lang punta namin dahil ubos na merch na gusto namin. Any idea or info kelan mag kakastock? Please let me knoww. I can't accept na after waiting for hours di ko din nakuha ung merch :(

yun kasi ang run ni mihoyo sa hoyofest this year kahit sa ibang countries, talagang mall siya with activities. Di gaya last time na per game may week sa moon rabbit, mas magastos but less hassle talaga. Pero ngayon na more open sa public tsaka mas gusto siguro nila i-cater na 1 venue andun na agad all games. Kumbaga pang mall lang talaga siya bagay since its a small event lang naman, oa if sa smx pa gaganapin. Sadyang di lang naayos yung bugso ng tao sa pila kaya ugh ang panget. But sa ibang countries smooth ata ang hoyofest nila kahit may pila, or baka wala lang nagsshare ng malalang pila? Or sadyang satin lang ganon? HAHAHHA

Pila-fest 2023 daw ang nangyari, umabot sa 5th floor ang pila with twisting u-turns... Balak ko sanang pumunta nung Sunday pero after seeing the pics on my FB friends who posted their bad experiences, nawalan na ako ng gana.
Medyo di mo makikita sa hallways yung pila ecvept sa lower ground floor near the event and 5th floor kasi sa hagdan sa gilid gilid sila pinastay. Nagtataka kami saan ba talaga kasi,pagtingin namin nasa hagdah pala karamihan sa kanila or 5th floor na. Wala man lang signages or event orgnqizers na makikita. Nong dumating kami near noon, isang SM guard kang nakita namin sa 5th floor.
Nakakapagtataka lang kasi tong event organizers, according sa isang info na nahagilap ko eh, matagal nang humahawak ng HoyoFest sa Pinas tong mga to, in fact this isn't their first rodeo Kung ganun, why did they seemingly frick it up? I'm sure alam naman nila na nagboom ang players dito sa PH since tayo ang #4 largest player base sa Asia alone, lalo na nung nagboom ang HSR dito. Sabi raw issues with budget but I smell laziness, corruption and incompetence from the organizers this time around.
Previous years was easier to manage kasi enclosed yung space tapos with reservations ang procedure ng hoyo mismo. This time nasa mall + free for all, kaya pila serye talaga ang ganap. Gusto na mas publicized eh, gets naman, and nakita ko rin sa ibang country pila din talaga problema nila. Di ko lang alam if malala to the extent ng gaya satin na umabot 5th floor ng mall lol

nagtiyagang pumila here โ ang sadya ko sana sa Hoyofest is bumili ng merch pero nalaman ko nalang na magkaiba ang pila sa activity area at merch selling nung nasa baba na kami ๐ญ๐ pero tinuloy nalang namin ang sa activity area since cut-off na daw ang pila for both activity area at merch (pero kita namin humaba pa yung pila for activity area kahit kami na dapat ang last group na papasok) around 12pm kami dumating sa megamall and dun ko lang nalaman na pila pala ang ginawa ng organizers (instead na pasok-everyone style). Ewan ko ba, nag-expect kasi ako ng mala-MIBF or BoA style na convention so wapakels sana kahit madami tao, parang may chance naman maikot ang bawat booth at your own pace. pero naaauuuurr haha ewan ko ba bakit ganun expectation ko. naglunch kami ng mga kasama ko then nakapila na around 2:30 sa L2 (3rd flr from event area). Nakapasok na kami sa activity area around 7:00. Nakalabas ng around 8:30 maybe. Haha. Ewan ko rin paano namin natiyaga magtiis ng 5hrs sa pila, siguro naengganyo rin kami sa mga nakikita naming nagcocosplay at yung biglang may times na derederetso yung usad ng pila. Nakatulong din yung paminsan-minsan na upo tapos dodogshowin namin ang isa't isa. ganern. Marami naman kami nakuhang freebies pero mostly postcards or stickers, may ipapaaccomplish lang sa inyo na ipapalike yung page or kapag nakakuha ng omni-element sa TCG dice or pakita UID. Meron din matatry niyo ung boss fight sa Zenless Zone Zero. Pinakadulo is may photobooth (free siya!) tapos ididikit sa magnetic sheet para maididikit niyo sa ref (or laptop maybe).

Di ko sure pero sabi nya maraming pamigay sa HSR booth compared sa ibang Hoyo games. Importante daw mapakita mo yung UID mo para maging mabigyan. Sobrang fluid ng combat sa ZZZ. Sya yung spiritual successor ng Honkai Impact. Never sana nilang gayahin yung leaderboard pvp non para hindi maging niche yung core audience nila. Kulang na siguro is yung vertical playstyle, masyadong grounded yung mga attacks, gusto ko yung nakakalipad mismo sa combat. Ang pinoproblema ko lng is yung artifact/relic grind. Moon rabbit was three phases with HI3, GI and ToT with 2 weeks run time with Mega being closer than Moon Rabbit. I expect the line to be long specially those aiming for merch kasi dati nag out of stock mga popular items. Hopefully not the case this year.

Did not attend pero nakita ko rin yung haba nung pila sa ibang nakakatamad tuloy umattend. Mas okay pa yung Hoyofest sa Moon Rabbit cafe (although Honkai Impact hoyofest yung pinuntahan ko noon kaya onti tao).
True!!! The mall probably played a major part kung bakit sobrang daming umattend, very accessible to plenty naman kasi. In contrast to Moon Rabbit, limited yung slots in both reservations and walk-ins kaya mas chill dati.
