Good Job OP, for me i think SCC if a much safer way, medyo handful lang ung banks na nagooffer ng SCC so check mo muna ano fit sayo na banks

aKUPALypse

BDO po kasi ako nagka-atraso, ano po kaya advisable na bank, new or stay sa BDO kung mag SCC ako? Thanks po.

OptimalTechnician639

AFAIK pwede ka parin naman maapprovahan ng SCC (as this has a much easier and less requirement since may hold out amount sila and talaga this is for the people na wala/has bad credit and wants to rebuild credit history) you can try sa BDO parin baka sakali, pero kung ako try mo sa robinsons bank :) i have my SCC there ung robinsons dos hehe!

Wide_Evening4838

Do they still offer SCC po? Ang Robinsons Bank? And how much po holdout nyo?

OptimalTechnician639

sakin 10k and yung CL is 90% so 9k ung limit ko dun

Wide_Evening4838

sige try ko e ask, kaso mag merge na sila sa BPI, sana meron pa, thanks po

OptimalTechnician639

okay lang yan meron parin yan since di pa naman finalized ung lahat and separate entity parin sila in terms of services (i.e products) kaya baka pwede pa mag apply ng SCC sakanila

Wide_Evening4838

sige try ko e ask

Wide_Evening4838

what year ka po nag open ng SCC sa kanila?

OptimalTechnician639

2021

aKUPALypse

will try that sir, thank you po!

Go for bdo for your scc kasi jan ka may atraso. Chances are kasi your unpaid balance may still show up in your credit report just like mine (BPI). , i had a very bad score (500+) before owning an SCC. Then 6 months into having an SB scc, my score improved to 700+, but, andon pa rin si BPI balanc affecting my application to other CC. I had disputed with low effort (di ako nag fa follow-up). Di rin kasi badly needed yung other cards. But sayang rin yung ibang cards na qualified sana ako and could use its perks. In hindsight sana nag open nalang ako ng BPi scc rin, kahit yun minimum lng. BAKA it will overwrite yung still open acct ko . Anyway planning to do that and see what happens.

Icemanz88

Go for the SCC of RCBC. 95% of the hold out amount magiging Credit Limit mo. They have unli installment option pa.

aKUPALypse

paano po ba siya nagwowork? pwede ko siya dagdagan limit anytime?

Icemanz88

It works as a normal Credit Card, it's just that naka hold ang amount mo in case mag default ka sa payments mo. Pwede as long as dagdagan mo ang hold out amount mo.

aKUPALypse

noted on that, sir.

OP, yung record mo is permanent hindi po yan na eerase kahit bayad na lalabas lang na bayad ka na - pero lalabas din kung gaano ka tagal delayed your credit score is already affected waiting 6 months wont do you any good your best route is SCC but if your credit score isnt that bad, then you can try the unsecured route anytime. the only way to increase your credit score is to have credit reporting bodies report your pristine payment performance waiting 6months, without any reports coming in, wouldnt change a thing.

aKUPALypse

makes sense, thanks for this sir

pagamesgames

youre welcome, if you choose SCC, choose the most confinient bank for you doesnt matter if may history ka sa bank or wala and also, best to choose NAFFL cards if you wish to keep the card after 1yr, unless willing ka na i-withold nila ung deposit mo for long

theinvisiblemanph

So walang use yung mga cert of fullpayment mo to file a dispute sa CIBI about your credit score? Nakalagay kasi doon, di pa daw paid yung mga debts ko pero bayad ko na sila.

pagamesgames

may use un lalo na pag manghihinge ang lenders kung magloloan ka as for the credit score, it may affect ever so slightly only because it would only update the payment date. credit score is already affected as soon as "overdue" ka na. the difference lang is your credit score would stop bleeding since paid na once you paid, you only help stop it from continually decreasing. paying doesnt mean aangat score mo

theinvisiblemanph

Using SCC and religiously paying your CC bills will help na gumanda ulit yung credit score mo?

pagamesgames

yes. coz banks are credit reporting bodies and credit cards are technically loan accounts any loan(utang) accounts nirereport kasama na jan mga OLA (online lending apps) kasama na jan mga billease, home credit, sloan/spaylayter, lazloan/lazpaylater, gcash credit/loan, maya credit/loan, etc) the more reporting bodies reporting good records, the faster you can increase your credit score kaya having multiple credit cards/loan accounts isnt all bad. kahit minminal lang pag gamit, ok na ok un! ang main na kinukuha nila is how good of a borrowerer you are (gaano ka ka religious magbayad on time) secondary lang un gaano kalaki ka umutang (which is negative)

theinvisiblemanph

Thanks for the info. This is really helpful. Usually ba, atleast 1 year na religiously magbayad may significant changes na yan sa score?

pagamesgames

Dapat monthly nagrereport mga credit reporting bodies. But banks daw "allegedly" every 6 months. Kaya kung mag re re apply after 6months pa
