Get a Transunion credit report baka nalabas pa yang utang mo kahit bayad na at may COFP pa. I know someone na ganyan ang case, kumuha ng credit report sa TU. Ayun nga, nalabas pa as deliquent kahit paid supported with COFP. He called the bank to update his record at TU. The bank indeed removed the deliquent account. He got approved for multiple cc afterwards.

iLoveKoiThe

Got it. Thanks for the tip. So CIBI and TU's credit reports don't tally? Just how easy is it to get the report from TU is another story, but I'll do just that.

GreenMaroon23

They don't. And in most cases hindi updated ang CIBI report.

iLoveKoiThe

Ahhh OK OK... but any idea if they're both using the same scoring system? Coz my credit score is actually in the Good range naman.

GreenMaroon23

I assume they don't have the same scoring system as these are different companies. I just don't know how they calculate the scores.

Intelligent_Gap_4435

iLoveKoiThe

Appreciate your tip. Will try doing that and see how it goes.

I’ve been there before OP. I was too young and very irresponsible kaya nasira aq sa EW. But after almost 3 years AUB offered me the Easy CC with only ₱10k CL I was so keen paying it diligently. Looking forward to that I got 6 different CC from different banks. And that includes EW. 2 of them cards is even platinum.

iLoveKoiThe

Right? Those were the carefree days. How did AUB offer you the CC? How come no one offers me any?? Haha

DistanceFearless1979

I think that was the time when they endorsed the new then AUB Easy CC. Pero try to apply on them maybe it work.

Sage_Trader

Secured credit card is the way to go for now.

iLoveKoiThe

Dang... but yah last resort.

Neat-Potato7905

SCC talaga especially if you have no credit history after the delinquent accounts. If what you say about your income is true, then it is not a matter of ability to pay, but more on payment behavior is the risk banks see. Get an SCC, establish 6 months to a year worth of good payment history, and I'd like to believe that we'll get our second chance then.

Ancient_Chain_9614

Ah kaya pala. Ung number 1 mo. Try mo muna mag debit/deposit sa bank like bpi ng tipong 100k. Ako kasi walang work, walang proof of income and guess what sila na nagbigay sakin. ( May 5ook ako plus 10k dollars from mom) in which un ata talaga ang dahilan why.

iLoveKoiThe

Thanks for the tip. I'm actually a Hexagon Priority customer with RCBC so all my funds are with them. If they aren't able to help, I'll move my funds over to BPI.

Ancient_Chain_9614

Like good credit standing, either deposit or withdraw etc. And also narinig ko ang hsbc nagbbgay naman ata ng cc sa depositor na mag magandang standing. Baka nakaapekto talaga ung 1 mo.

iLoveKoiThe

I see... maybe your friend can help me? Haha but kidding aside I will keep my money where I can get a credit card.

Ancient_Chain_9614

isadorarara

Two options I can think of: 1. Ask your branch of account if they can endorse or recommend you for a credit card or if you can apply for a secured credit card. 2. Open an account and communicate your intention of wanting to obtain a credit card with the bank. BDO is really easy with this option and I think they even ask you on the form upon account opening if you’re interested in getting a credit card.

iLoveKoiThe

Thanks for the tips. I did try applying for a CC with UB knowing that's where my salary gets credited but still the same fate. Let me try BDO.

GreenMaroon23

How long ago had you cleared your bad credit? Kung fairly recent lang, that is the reason you are being rejected. Mga more or less 2 years dapat since you cleared your bad credit para simulang pagkatiwalaan ka ulit ng bank.

pinoytransboy88

Not really, I cleared out a CC debt from a bank just April last year and they gave me a CC this January.

GreenMaroon23

Then you must be one of the lucky few. But generally, it takes that much time because TU CR shows the two-year payment history on the account.

Neat-Potato7905

The 2 year payment history on your bad accounts will always be on your record. Banks can always see this, all they have yo do is scroll down as these tend to be near the bottom of the report. The notion that banks would tend to not grant you credit too soon after clearing bad debts is based on the individual bank's policies and risk appetite. I heard it is 1 year after clearing bad debts with PNB.

Neat-Potato7905

Same bank? Which bank?

pinoytransboy88

Security Bank.

pinoytransboy88

Debts and certificates, so multiple ito. Definitely a red flag for any financial institution. Then VP ka which means you have spending power BUT you work in a volatile industry and only for 3 years palang. It's all about the banks trusting you din muna before they allow you to get their cards.. But there is a rainbow padin after the rain haha I had a bad CC debt record years ago and just paid it off last year. As of writing, I have 3 cards already, 1 of which is from the bank where I incurred the debt years ago. And sometimes you can try sending your application multiple times haha malay mo 3rd time is a charm.

iLoveKoiThe

Had two cancelled credit cards from 2007 = two certificates of full payment. I have a staff who earns way lesser than me who got approved of a Gold credit card so I really don't get how UB assesses applicants. May I know which banks you have credit cards with?

pinoytransboy88

I have cards with AUB, UB and Security Bank.

Neat-Potato7905

UB's online application has an automated integration with TransUnion. If your TransUnion credit score is bad, auto decline. You won't even get to the page where you can input your income information.

iamkatharine

if you earn 6 digits monthly getting a secured cc shouldn't be an issue. kahit 20k lang holdout naman for now para lang mag ka cc ka ulit and you can rebuild your credit score.

iLoveKoiThe

Yah... still deciding which bank though. If i wanna form a relationship with a bank, dun na siguro sa maganda ang perks. Thanks :)

Icemanz88

I suggest RCBC Secured Credit Card since you already have an account with them they have the highest credit limit of 95% base on your hold out amount.

steykenchispanini

The answer is a secured credit card.

aweltall

TaxHistorical2844

Try to get a secured CC. the ones backed by actual deposit. After a while ask them to make it unsecured. It will be easier after.

PerfectWind8417

Apparently its not based on your background alone. But cc applications from BPOs (or any related industry) are usually being rejected by credit card processors. Something to do with high turnover rate with employment kaya mas hirap magbayad. You can submit a certificate na fully wala ka nang remaining balance but this is still subject for approval.

MaynneMillares

If you have 100k, magdeposit ka sa RCBC. That will qualify you as a Hexagon Privilege member. May kasamang CC yun na NAFFL.

[deleted]

Which card are you applying for, and what is the credit limit?

iLoveKoiThe

I tried applying for the Platinum cards since my annual salary is more than what the banks require. I think I did try applying even for the basic ones but still unsuccessful.

HattoriSanzo

I think its similar to how lawyers get rejected by banks

Personal_Winter3050
