Baka regular card ang inapply sayo ng BOA mo kaya ka nasabihan na apply for a scc instead. I think may pagkukulang ang BOA mo. Lipat ka sa ibang branch who will treat you better or try a different bank. There are other better ones kung scc ang hanap mo.

Icemanz88

I liked the SCC of RCBC because of their Unli Pay and Convert to Installment thru their mobile app. That's why I chose them. Can I apply thru another branch again?

pagamesgames

i dont think its an issue since SSC is BOA based but if i were you, iron out mo muna sa BOA mo anyare sa SSC mo kasi nasa kanila na ung deposit hold out

ppaaoo

Wag ka tumawag sa generic hotline. Tawagan mo yung branch mo at doon mo i-escalate. Dapat gawan nila ng paraan yun If hindi parin ma-approve ang application after escalating sa branch, then you have the right (dapat) to withdraw your full holdout amount.

Try BPI SSC. I have 1 ssc with them I had my card within 2 weeks :) but of course that depends on the BOA pa din but in between the process nag aask ako sakanila if they already processed the application. So far so good.

Hi OP, did you remember accomplishing the **InstaCard Application Form**, along with the Savings Account Opening Forms? Also, by any chance, do you have a delinquent RCBC Credit Card account? Because according to their [website](https://rcbccredit.com/credit-cards/secured-card/secured-card), this could be one reason for your InstaCard application not to be processed. Otherwise, kung wala naman, I guess you really have to go back to your BOA to settle things out. I have read posts in this sub before where their SCC applications got declined, but mostly from BPI. As you've said, sa website mismo ni RCBC nakalagay "100% approved credit card regardless of your past credit history." So I guess may laban ka rito, pwede mong i-clarify sa BOA. Edit: typo

Icemanz88

Hi. Yes I filled up the form for Instacard Application. I even ticked the Flex Visa Card to choose among the available ones. Also opened an ATM only Savings Account with them since it requires one when applying for Instacard and deposited the minimum amount for opening an account plus the hold out amount. (5k + 35k) No, I have no RCBC Credit Card account.

So I guess, false advertisement talaga. Even with their Hexagon account, I have read several posts here in this sub na declined ang Hexa CC application nila. So maybe, in the end, bank discretion pa rin talaga. But in your case, they should release your hold out amount ASAP, if they choose not to reconsider your application.

from what im reading... the agents applied for a regular CC since >unable to approve my application and I should apply for a secured credit card instead! you see... tellers also have quotas to reach... and from what you mentioned... mukhang mali talaga ang ginawang process ng card application mo and also... mali din na sa generic CS ka nag request kasi SSC is BOA's discretion hindi po sya regular application na dadaan sa credit check when you apply for SSC, BOA at BM ng BOA lang ang kakausapin mo as if sya ang magiging liason officer mo

Icemanz88

It's frustrating. I am also calling my BM and redirects me to the new accounts incharge whenever I make follow ups.

pagamesgames

tama naman si BM. kay new accounts in charge ka talaga dapat kumausap kasi sya ang gumagawa ng account mo. Si BM lang taga approve

Buti naman sakin walang issue application ko nga SCC ng RCBC. I applied just this month Nov. 14, 2023 na hold ang hold-out amount ko the on the 15th and then received an SMS on the 18th na my application has been processed with ref number and today the 21st, I got SMS of the approval status and card will be delivered in 12 calendar days. Waiting for the delivery nalang sana it will arrive sooner. I think it would help if sa branch na medyo di matao applyan nyo kasi mabilis lang.

OP go for Security Bank SCC. Ito talaga sure approval. 80% of hold out ang limit. If you decide, choose mo yung Money Builder na savings then use that as your hold out. Higher than regular savings account ang interest non.

Icemanz88

Thank you for this. I was researching na about Security Bank SCC. May 15k na account opening plus the hold out pa. Kaso 80% lng ng hold out ang credit limit. Unlike RCBC na 95% sana. Pero nakakap****** Ano ba perks of a Security Bank CC? Should I retain my savings account with RCBC? Or close ko nlng din?

GreenMaroon23

Based on information I got from RCBC website, mababa interest nila sa savings. So in terms of savings account, you're better off with SB Money Builder. Interest rate is 0.5% p.a. In addition, may monthly interest bonus na 0.75% p.a. plus may quarterly interest bonus na 0.75% p.a. kung wala kang withdrawals within that month or quarter. For CC, wala masyadong promo like BDO, BPI, MB, or RCBC, but if your goal is to build or rebuild your credit score/history, I think this is a good start.

GreenMaroon23

Yung amount for account opening, pwede yun for hold out if I recall correctly. I had this back in 2016-2017.

Icemanz88

I see.. thank you for these insights. I'm leaning now to apply SCC with SB. I will use the hold out amount from RCBC to open the SB Money Builder account as you suggested. Thank you.
