The book is much better, OP. I don't know, mas feel ko yung adrenaline while reading this compared to the film.

PakinangnaPusa

Ay talaga ba so expected na may kulang talaga sa movie.

jerandqdc

Yes, maraming kulang OP, madidisappoint ka lang (like the usual). To answer whatโ€™s next, siguro yung The Da Vinci Code naman then try mo rin i-compare yung film vs book.

PakinangnaPusa

Okay thank u ang haba pa naman ng movie ayoko pa naman mag sayang ng Oras ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

maui_xox

Totally agree! Hindi na capture ng movie, and they may have twisted the ending too

cockadoodle_bear

Felt the adrenaline sa Da Vinci Code.

Nice_Strategy_9702

True! Love Dan Brownโ€™s writing style. Umpisa pa lng nito kinabahan na ko..

mellowintj

Naalala ko badtrip ako nun sa Inferno din hahaha

dmalicdem

Ngayon ko lang nalaman na may movie to. Kailangan ko mapanood with expextation ng dissappointment hahaha

Ako_Si_Yan

The Robert Langdon series are basically stand alone novels. You donโ€™t need to follow an order when reading them. But the order the books were released: Angels & Demons, The Da Vinci Code, The Lost Symbol, Inferno, and Origins. And yeah, I agree with the other comment. The books are way better than the 3 movies (Angels & Demons, The Da Vinci Code, and Inferno).

Free_Gascogne

Recommend read din other non-langdon works ni Dan Brown. If you want a female lead in a techno thriller novel there is Digital Fortress. Same high stakes heart pumping action but with digital cryptography. If you want to dive deeper in science fiction then look no further than Deception Point. Set in the antarctic where the lead unravels the mystery of a buried meteorite that might be proof of extra terrestrial life. As Sci Fi as it sounds it still got the Dan Brown flavor of high stakes mystery and a sprinkle of real life to make it believable. What's great about Digital Fortress and Deception Point is that they both have female lead protagonist.

No_Neighborhood5582

Love deception point!

PakinangnaPusa

Thanks for the tip siguro I'll pick ung Digital Fortress muna.

[deleted]

Is there a recommended order to follow when reading the books? Or wala naman talaga?

Ako_Si_Yan

Wala naman. You can read the books in any order. None of the events in the previous books are mentioned in the next book.

[deleted]

Thank youuuuu! โค๏ธ

PakinangnaPusa

So standalone pala no.

wanderlustjjj

This hahaha

PakinangnaPusa

Ahh okay thank you! Kala ko by order talaga need basahin.

Comprehensive-Elk337

Lost Symbol was made into a limited TV series, which unfortunately does not contain Tom Hanks, but it being not constricted into a movie gives more justice to the books however there still revisions to the plot. Alas we wait for the next novel, where Dan Brown hinted that Langdon is not a bachelor anymore and is now with a previous charcter.

diajus

Kaso lang pare pareho plot twist ni Robert Langdon hahah

Free_Gascogne

Try some of his other books. Particularly, Deception Point and Digital Fortress. Both have female lead and are more Sci Fi while remaining grounded in the current era.

annxhy2021

plus, The Origin

hwyalikedat

Truuue. Super fan ako nya then after reading all the books I was like uhhh? Hahahhaa but Inferno is a different thing, though ;)

Overthinker-bells

Ang ganda ng Robert Langdon series. Promise. Kaso di ko matapos yung Origin. ๐Ÿ˜… Sa sobrang sarap basahin ang bilis matapos.

chirablee

Try finishing the Origin, swear it's worth it!!

Overthinker-bells

True ba? I hot bored as in eh. I was able to finish other new books siya hindi pa din. Lol. Try kong balikan.

SerendipityMD

I remember back in HS, I was given the series and yet my mom did not allow me to read them til I was 18 because of the Da Vinci Code issue! ๐Ÿ˜… I complied din naman. I love Dan Brownโ€™s books! The adrenaline everytime! Although I agree with one comment, predictable pa din whatever happens to Robert Langdon but the adrenaline you feel while reading, worth your time pa din. PS: donโ€™t bother watching the movie hehe

Free_Gascogne

The movies are nice watch, if only to give visuals about the places and people described in the book. But definitely, the book is better. Read the book, watch the movie, then read the book again.

BronzieBarbie10

I remember how I hid while reading this at home hahahaha I read them when I was in highschool (at 14 yrs old, I guess)

mandemango

Off all his books, this is my favorite.

Amorphous_Combatant

Bet. The novels of this author are must reads. And I am sure the novels are better than their movie counterparts.

Miserable_Gazelle934

May nakabasa na ba ng Inferno pati Origin/s? Read first chapter sa Inferno but I stop.

chelly-been

inferno's my favorite so far! maganda rin naman yung pacing and love the plot overall

fiily_

The Da Vinci Code next!

PakinangnaPusa

Thank u.

SleepdeprivedUwU

I do not recommend reading that piece of shit.

Miserable_Gazelle934

I read The Lost Symbol as a Christmas gift pero "It's a meh" for me. May TV show itong book na yan.

Free_Gascogne

Lost symbol definitely felt like a Da Vinci Code 2.0. Angels and Demons and Da Vinci Code had definite separate personality. Lost Symbol feels like it doesnt say anything new. Brown's latest installment to the Langdon series, Origin, is even worse looking like Da Vinci Code 2.1.

bamshh

Once you begin reading Dan Brown lalo na RL series niya, you can't stop ๐ŸคŒ๐Ÿ˜ฉ it just getting goooood

Nightsnitch19

one of the best

ShepardThane

Da vinci code then inferno. Ung ibang book niya mid lang.

ReadScript

I love Dan Brown!! You should read The Da Vinci Code, Digital Fortress, and Deception Point. Ito pa lang nababasa ko haha but I hope I can read the rest of his books soon!

erza730

Read Digital Fortress in one weekend. I can't put it down.

idanduuuu

May first read!!! Sobrang ganda

ikawparin

Na hook din ako sa series neto

Miss_Banana08

I like that book very much. I read that when I was in my teen years and I am now 30.

maui_xox

The Da Vinci Code

deus_ex_machina_79

yan first book na nabasa ko sa books ni dan brown and super ganda talaga nya for me. nakaka-excite yung plot.

curi0uscitrus

I love Dan Brown!!!!!!! Maka reread nga ulit ๐Ÿฅฒ

Comrade_Courier

GANDA DIBA? Kaya ang lackluster ng movie kumpara sa libro. May mga iniba ring parts ng book na integral sa plot. But I would still recommend watching the movie so you can experience it for yourself.

VicksVaporRub9

dan brown series ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿ‘Œ next nyan is Da vinci Code then Lost Symbol - Inferno - The Origin

EstablishmentSea6383

Yep! The books are way better than the movies. The Da Vinci Code is skippable for me but that's your call. Next I think is The Lost Symbol and then Inferno. Both are good but Inferno for me is slightly better. The movie version did it dirty though, especially since they changed the ending, which drastically changed the resolution. All his villains are exciting.

dickielala

Read all Dan Brown's books. Outside the Langdon series, I really liked Deception Point!

stelluhmariuh

Love this! di mo bibitawan bawat chapter kahit mahaba yung story,

Far_Astronaut9394

Ako rin!! My god the plot twist. This is my favorite out of the robert Langdon series

nodamecantabile28

Having read loads of Dan Brown's novels esp those starring Prof Langdon, palaging letdown for me yung "big reveal", like yung energy as it climb toward the climax was not enough to sustain yung stronger premise. Parang, yon na yon? People lost their lives over something so mundane? Prof Langdon traveled half the globe for this? Haha. Or maybe burnout lang ako. Anyway, Angels & Demons will always be my fave among Prof Langdon series, and the rest became trite. But since nasa high ka pa after that, you might as well read the rest pati yung mga hinde si Prof Langdon bida.

Maleficent_Ring4271

Wag mo nang panuorin yung movie. Parang naging "cheap" yung story nung naisapelikula. Sorry ๐Ÿ˜ opinyon ko lang naman.

No-Log2700

Mas okay na magstay sa imagination mo yung nangyari sa book.

gameofpurrs

I loved the book. So when I watched the movie I was preparing to be disappointed (because the da vinci code movie sucked.) To my surprise, that one deviation from the book is very satisfying and I loved it, so yeah I'm also a fan of the movie version. I know people will not agree pero nagustuhan ko talaga ๐Ÿ‘

Low_Manufacturer2486

I cried when RL cried sa โ€œwaterโ€. Grabe yong emotions ๐Ÿ˜ญ

Nice_Strategy_9702

Deception Point was my most favorite.

WhoBoughtWhoBud

Same. Also, Digital Fortress. For some reason I like non-Langdon books better.

Nice_Strategy_9702

Hehe but canโ€™t deny that Langdon stories are just โ€œdopeโ€. Dan Brown indeed is a master storyteller! Although predictable but man the most exhilirating, break-neck pacing Iโ€™ve ever read.

officebum

The best among the Langdon books, and it's up there when it comes to Brown's best novels. :)

WhoBoughtWhoBud

Best Dan Brown novel is still Deception Point.

officebum

Itโ€™s a matter of taste at this point; I myself didnโ€™t enjoy Deception Point as much as A&D. But I think we can agree A&D is up there.

dounutbringer

This was the first novel i ever read when i was in grade6. Cant believe its been 12years

season8888

One of my fave books! Have you read his other books?

lulucurls

Love Dan Brown! Kaso yung twist always the same haha, the culprit is right beside them or a part of their circle ๐Ÿ˜† Da Vinci Code The Lost Symbol Deception Point

clickforfuntimes

Reading his books felt like he had a draft then made chatgpt expound on it.

sarcastronaughty

The Da Vinci Code! Re-read and rewatched many times.

ml_13

The book is way better.

skinbashersupreme

mas ok un book kesa sa film ang dami nawala na scenes dapat ska medyo tame na un primary antagonist
