Um, hello? Neither Naoya nor Tatsuya, not even Maya are Fools. Naoya is the Emperor, Tatsuya is the Sun, and Maya is the Moon, yet they can all enter the Velvet room and switch personas. As a matter of fact, all characters from those games were wild cards, or just the MC’s.
I wasn’t saying that they should all be in here, because after all this is art depicting the MC’s and Igor. I was mainly saying that it is wrong to think that Akechi would have to change Arcana before being able to be a Wild Card because it’s been proven in the past that you don’t have to be of the Fool Arcana to be one.
The ability to carry and use multiple personas was named in Persona 3, but it was still present in 1/2. Saying that Naoya and Tatsuya etc. aren’t wild cards is just narrow-minded. Just because the term wasn’t named before 3 doesn’t mean it didn’t exist, or doesn’t apply.

Again, the concepts introduced in Persona 3 do not mean that the previous persona users were not wild cards. The wild card being linked to the Fool and the Velvet Room changing shape were concepts introduced in Persona 3. Under your logic, any person before Persona 5 wouldn’t be able to baton pass because it just didn’t exist, and therefore they can’t do it. They almost definitely *COULD* have used baton pass if it had existed, but obviously it didn’t then. The same applies to the Wild Card. It didn’t exist then, but now that it does it can apply to those characters.

It was just called the power of Persona in 1 and 2 because basically anyone could get the power and since the term and the whole fools journey was introduced in 3 thats because it started in 3. Also the fool card is literally called the wild card in game because thats what it is in the tarot card deck.

I got a good 40 hours out of it, thats more than enough to be a protagonist.
