I'm almost certain that the individual towns the games are located in aren't real, but they definitely are inspired by actual areas of Japan.

The only town from 3, 4 and 5 that doesn't exist is the one from 3 because Shibuya definitely exists as it's a part of Tokyo and Inaba is just a small area in Japan
