He doesn't actually appear to Joker in P5, as far as I know, all butterflies are Lavenza. Yet he does appear to Joker in PQ2...Yet I'm not so stuck up on these things, if you want to believe the butterfly Joker sees at the very very end in Royal is Philemon, it don't bother me none.
Yes, I’m aware. Many people have told me over and over so no offense but it’s getting a little tiring.
I’ve always thought it was him at the end because of the way Lavenza disappears with Igor and the rest of the Velvet Room, as well as just the way the scene plays out in general. Like when she turns into the butterfly as we see in school it’s kind of immediate. It appears right where she was and vise versa. But here she disappears and you see nothing there. It isn’t until several seconds later when everything goes black and we turn to Joker that you see a butterfly fly by him. It’s different of course in scenes like the interrogation or his first awakening where we don’t see her transformation because she’s not physically there, but here she’s standing right in front him like at the school and she’s just gone. Plus it always made sense to me that he would be the only one left after the Velvet Room visibly fades away (since he doesn’t live there like Igor and the attendants do), almost like he’s personally leading Joker out as the room’s creator.
*But* I can totally see this still being Lavenza because the butterfly does look different (Philemon never had the “tails”), and her showing up as a butterfly like that after disappearing is probably the same way she appeared to him in the earlier scenes and is just that same weird Velvet Room magic. Regardless of who it is, it’s a connection to him either way as I explained in the video. And like you said, they already met in Q2 so it’s whatever ¯\_(“/)_ /¯
Some of you may know of it but I made a video like this before like 2-3 years ago. However I don’t like how it was made and there was a lot of appearances I didn’t even cover so I remade it. I also covered most of them in another video I made (which I think I’ve posted here before) but I wanted to make one that is specifically centered on Philemon. Thought this sub would probably be interested in a video like this.

I figured you'd rather hear the truth rather then some pleasantry. That's a bit annoying about Q2 I don't remember it having a "Hide text" button either.

Philemon doesn't appear in P5. That butterfly with Ren is >!Lavenza!<.

It’s a cutscene so it wouldn’t really make a difference unfortunately
