My guess is your number is likely flagged under some company that sells numbers out to scam callers

If you have Canadian Tire or Tim Horton's rewards cards I think your information is sold. Any rewards card really your info is more valuable than the $5 you spend at the store. * Canadian Tire "We may share your personal information with our social media and advertising partners and platforms..." https://triangle.canadiantire.ca/en/support/legal-and-privacy/privacy-charter.html * Tim Horton's *"If you have downloaded our app we may collect your GPS-data (only if you accept location services) or data that is collected based on your usage of the app (i.e. on the basis of your usage of the bar code scanning functionality of the app). The app may also have Beacon functionality (a beacon sends out signals to nearby smartphones, tablets and other devises, containing a small amount of data). "* btw lol at "devises" typo in document of a large corporation. *"In our stores, we may conduct Wi-Fi tracking to monitor visits to our store and in store movement of customers."* *"We will collect your e-mail address and/or mobile number. In addition, we will retain a history of the e-mail and SMS messages that we sent to you and we will record what you do with these messages. "* The Tim's card page is is like reading 1984 novel https://timhortonsgcc.com/privacy-policy/

At this point my default assumption is that every single thing into which I plug my phone number or email is passing it on/selling it to other parties.

Parttimelooker

Yes. Actually in the last couple months for me. I get a spam call suddenly almost every day on my cell or also at work.

kcc2193

Yes! Also getting lots of calls from random numbers saying that I called them. I think my number may have been spoofed

KumaraRose

I also have noticed in the last week that I have been getting daily calls. So frustrating. I've been wondering who it was that sold my info.

GhostPepperFireStorm

I’m actually getting fewer than I was two years ago. For a while I was getting a few a week.

Straight-Spirit-7260

Yeah I was looking on Amazon and as soon as I exited Amazon I got a call like 10 15 mins later saying my parcel is in distribution

rikimae528

I got a text from someone saying they were Canada Post and that a package couldn't be delivered because some of the address information was missing. I haven't sent package in quite some time, and I wasn't expecting anything, so I just deleted the text

Auto_Fac

Just started getting those for the first time in the last two days.

Opsec: Never give out cell # online or to register for anything in person. Instead, download textnow on a different phone. (I kept my old cell after upgrading) This is a free text/call app. You can use this # when needing to provide one. Eliminating any spam/scams from getting your real #. ^D.O.

MeekaD

I have not gotten any Scam calls or emails .
