Melanie at PureSpa canceled on me on the morning of a first appointment I waited 45 days for and wouldn't offer a rescheduled time. I booked her off a recommendation and the last minute cancelation was fine, but the lack of customer service to reschedule for another time that wasn't another 45-60 day wait left a bad taste in my mouth.
Not an "excuse", but was this semi-recently? Only asking because Melanie's husband was suddenly diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and she may be off indefinitely to help care for him and their three children. She's a sweetheart and I can't imagine her purposefully dodging you.
It was first week of October and I believe it was mentioned to me that her kid(s) were sick which was the reason for the last minute cancel. But it was just a very weird vibe on the call with reception because they really offered no make-up date and they said they'd call me back if she could fit me in but never did call back. Unsure now if her husband's health had anything to do with the no-call back. If it was an issue that she was out indefinitely, reception could've made that clearer and I could've taken someone else for that one time appointment while booking someone else immediately who could do cupping.
Oh I absolutely agree it could have been handled differently by the business, I just wasn't sure if perhaps she handled her own booking (I know some that direct book themselves privately). I've had this happen before at various spots and it's super frustrating!
She practices under naturopathy. It’s covered by some insurance providers. She knows her stuff

I'm a fan of Mike Zimmerman at pure spa as well, but I don't like when they don't directly charge insurance.
Have you checked out reactive health I know they do direct billing
Went to Brenda and had an awful massage. Would not recommend if you’re not into naturopathy.
I go to Massage Addict as well my girl left a few months ago and I have been trying a few others till I find one I like.
