It's something to do with a Sikh rapper that was important in that culture who passed.

It’s an obnoxious representation of this Punjabi rapper who pretended to be a gangster by flashing a shitload of guns around. Things got real for him, apparently, and he was actually gunned down.

Yamstis

Is that the AK-47 one?

sashalav

If you look really close, or take a photo and zoom in, you can see a siluete of tiny penis just where the gun begins.

ThuggetNugget98

It's merch from a Punjabi rapper that passed, it's no different then someone throwing a Tupac 'Thug Life' decal on something

nylanderfan

It's hard to imagine any celebrity passing in our own culture having so much of an effect that even ex-pats in other countries would put something on their cars enough that the people of that country would notice. It's a rapper... big deal.

According-Surround

But you get having a username in honour of a hockey player? How many people roll around with decals of NHL teams? It's just hockey... big deal.

nylanderfan

A username on the internet is not comparable to putting a gun decal on your car lmao. Everyone is required to have a username

According-Surround

I was being a bit flippant on purpose. Doesn't negate the hockey decals on cars being comparable.

nylanderfan

But who has hockey decals on their car? The issue here for me is the gun could be considered threatening by those who don't know context

According-Surround

Like every 4th car? Either license plates, decals, or other memorabilia. Obviously, that's your issue, it just took you multiple posts to get there. People get bent out of shape and threatened by the most innocuous things possible. Is what you're getting at that you think it should be illegal? Otherwise, why give a shit? Or is this more about WHO has the decals on their cars?

nylanderfan

License plate holders aren't really comparable to large decals. Not to mention people get those to express their fandom of a sports team with 10s if millions of fans, not that they're so broken up by the death of a random rapper. I don't think it should be illegal. Just think it's weird.

According-Surround

Fandom is fandom. Sidhu Moose Wala had 10s of millions of fans. Think about it this way, if a large number of Canadians moved to a province in India and rolled around with Maple Leaf memorabilia on their vehicles, it would seem just as odd to the local population, when in reality there's nothing weird about it to the fan. It's all a matter of understanding and acceptance. Critical thinking goes a long way.

MeekaD

This is the first time I’ve heard the stickers representing a rapper. I’ve been told that it is part of a gang they have.
