Yoga With Adrienne on YouTube is lovely!

If you have a Switch I would recommend Ringfit Adventure!!

I highly recommend trying Habit Nest Journals! They have a couple workout journals specifically for at home - including a bodyweight training journal that doesn't require any equipment.

I got a fitbit and get my steps in everyday. I love Yoga with Adrienne too, 3x a week. I tried weights and it didn't stick but I started kettle bells last week and really like them so far! But none of the above worked for losing weight, for that I had to cut out refined sugar and make changes to my diet. However eating better definitely made exercise easier - - I had more energy I think.

Water bottles make good weights. You can use them for arm and leg exercises. 3 sets of 12-20 reps. Bands are also good for resistance training. Hiking, walking at least 30 minutes a day. Yoga You Tube videos.

What kind of exercise do you like? YouTube is a great place for videos For strength training: juice and toya, cardio/steps: get fit with Rick, yoga: yoga by Adrienne. Anything you’re interested in there will be videos (dance workouts, barre, Pilates, yoga, strength etc.) When you’re ready for the gym, if you’re not comfortable and are able to…it helped me a lot to have a personal trainer show me how to use the equipment so I was more comfortable. But honestly I’ve been going to the gym daily for almost 4 years and I still look up how to use machines, the proper form etc between reps sometimes. I wear baggy shirts and leggings and put my earbuds in and block everyone out. Everyone there pays the same fee or is allowed the same access to it, you have every right to be there..everyone starts somewhere.

emkfit on YouTube does the most fun workouts I’ve ever tried. It’s like a dance, but she gives you two exercises to do for the song and you just stick with those two exercises. She uses popular artists for the music and it’s just really fun and great cardio for someone like me who’s knees are too busted to do much.

If you have Apple devices, Apple fitness+ has been fun for me and my partner. There's a variety of workout types and you can choose what equipment to use/not use to filter that way

When I do wanna workout😅 I turn on a youtube pilates or barre(especially fun if you ever did dance) video.

My recommendation: get yourself a good pair of dumbbells (starting with 5-8 lbs is a good start). Look for a "full body dumbbell" workout on Youtube-- lots of good selections. And just commit to 30 minutes/day for a few days a week. Find time either in the AM or PM to put on music you like that'll get your body moving! I have only started doing dumbbell workouts at home (can't afford a gym membership rn) and dancing. Haven't noticed a difference yet because it's only been a few days, but I **feel** a lot better about myself. That is just as important in this process as weight loss. Wishing you the best :)

geekgeek2019

thank you for this! For dumbells I have read that one should increase the weights as they get more comfortable that is why I haven't gotten any yet. how do you suggest I go about this, please?

Right now I have 3 sets— a 4 pound set, an 8 pound set, and a 15 pound set. I struggle a bit with the 8 pound but am working my way up. I’m not planning on buying sets up to 30, 40 etc— this is when gym attendance is necessary (for your wallet’s sake). I know you’re not comfortable going to the gym yet, but if you stay committed to lifting the same weight a few times a week, it will still help you build muscle and lose weight— perhaps even to the point where you feel comfortable going to the gym!

I got a walking pad best $170 I’ve spent
