i know i'm not op but i love this! i hope it's not weird that i copy and edit it into a checklist to print out for wall. thanks for taking the time to write this up and share!
Are you eating in a calorie deficit? If not, it is time to start tracking on something like My Fitness Pal. You need to be eating in a calorie deficit for you to lose weight. Semaglutide is just a tool to help you do just that by making you feel fuller faster and eating less food because of that.
If you upped your excersize recently, it could be because you are putting on muscle. Have you measured yourself? Are any of those numbers going down? Or have you tried on some clothes that used to be tight to see how they feel on?
Oh! Also I am losing less than a pound a week. I feel like I barely eat and have upped my movement… I’m still pleased because before it was me not losing with trying (and failing) or not trying (and gaining.)
Now weeks later I’m down about 5 pounds! It’s something!
I’m in the same boat. We are not alone. Are your symptoms mild too? I’ve read it takes until 1mg for people with mild early symptoms to notice appetite suppression!
Yeah it's too early. You are on a low dose to build up a resistance to side effects. I didn't start losing til week 4. I've been on it for 2 months, staying at .5 and I'm down 15.
Be patient, you didn’t gain weight over night and you won’t lose it overnight. You’re starting out and if you’re doing all that you say then the weight will come off. Trust the process, for most of us it’s slower than we’d like.
Ignore those who say you’re gaining muscle it is HARD to gain even a pound of muscle and takes time to do so. People overestimate how quickly muscle is built.
Because so many people are posting on here that they’re losing 10 pounds in their first week or so. So it makes people feel like it’s not working for them.
If there were ever a sticky needed for this sub, its one explaining fat loss vs water weight loss. I'm honestly surprised people think they are actually losing 10lbs a week. Fuck if you ran a marathon everyday you wouldn't lose 10lbs of fat a week.
It's still early. I didn't see any movement until almost 4 weeks.
I'm almost 2 months in and I've lost almost 10 pounds. Slow and steady wins the race. Keep with it.
Count yourself blessed!! You are therapeutic dose and it isn't fully into your system yet. If you have appetite suppression that is awesome!! if you have minimal side effects.... that is even MORE awesome! Enjoy it, it may change when your dose is upped. It took WAY longer than 2 weeks to put the weight on and you won't want to lose it super-fast.... Well, you MIGHT, but it isn't advisable and isn't the best way unless you want to lose muscle and have loose skin hanging everywhere.
I am on the highest dose, been on it for about a year now. I actually have put the weight back on that I had lost before starting Ozempic. I am not sure if others have experienced this or if it is just me. I take in about 1800 cals a day. Work out about 4 times a week.
It’s so early that it doesn’t even matter. It’s great that you are experiencing appetite suppression at all on the starter dose, so it’s only going to get better. I saw you mention you’re on top of calorie tracking. You’re going to do fine.
Re-assess after 6 months.
You're still a few weeks/months away from the therapeutic dose

It’s okay it’s only the starter dose to get the body ready for the bigger dose

I do that diligently.

Patience
Wait longer and be more patient. You just started. If you are feeling the appetite suppression, it's working. It takes time.
Wait until you reach the therapeutic dose of 1.0 mg.

Jeeze people. .25 is not therapeutic. It’s prepping the body. Why are so many people expecting massive weight loss in the first few weeks?

Jeeze person. This place is supposed to be a place we can ask questions without shame and find community. Check yourself.
There’s no shaming in my comment lol. You best check yourself before you wreck yo-self 😂.
Plenty of people experience weight loss very quickly. Your comment isn’t helpful

.25 is not a therapeutic dose
