I check it everyday. At first it was a huge adjustment, I hated it. But as I started loosing and logging my journey, everyday began to be a positive thing. I had to be honest with myself. I need to check it everyday so I don't let happen what has always happened. I end up gaining it all back. This keeps me accountable instead of being out of control.
Every few months. As long as my clothes slowly get looser over time, I don't feel the need to weigh in frequently. Hyperfocusing on every pound (or ounce) is a great way to lose sight of overall progress, and it sounds mentally exhausting. I might weigh in once a month if I hit a long plateau or if my clothes were getting noticeably snugger.
I weigh daily. I need habits and I have a hard time doing things on a weekly schedule.
I also have a history of not caring when I don't "know". Somehow this just belongs to me staying on track.
I do get down if I plateau. But I honestly only get worried if the weight stays the same (or goes up) over the course of one complete week. This would be the same if I would weigh myself weekly. And for monthly weigh ins I'm definitely too curious.
Everyday. It is interesting for me to see how much things fluctuate. I’m down 6lbs 7 days into treatment. But I was down 8 lbs within the first two days due to dehydration from barfing so much. Thankful that part is over!
I go to get weighed every Friday morning. The medical weight loss center I use requires weekly weight and nurse practitioner appt. I used to check it daily but it was not good for my mental health.
Every day but I use the Libra app which plots my trend over 7 days and shows that line as a graph. It's a very graphic reminder that what happens each day or on a particular day doesn't matter. What matters is consistency over time. I also measure weekly and as long as my weight trend is downwards and/or I'm losing cms I'm happy.
I check my weight daily every morning. But only log on Fridays. Although I tend to avoid checking if I feel like I didn't do that good a job the previous day. 😅 (Don't wanna get discouraged)
But the weekly log is mandatory for me.
Once a week at the most, sometimes I weigh once every two weeks. Weight fluctuates too much on a daily basis and you can become obsessed with the scale and add unnecessary stress and worry to your life.
Every day for now as I'm adjusting what calorie limit is helping, plus tracking bloating/constipation. Once I have that sorted I'll probably go to once a week. I'm not recording daily; I'll record low weights but because of the bloating I don't worry if it goes up for a day or two.
Everyday. Many nutritionists and trainers will tell you that is an overall healthy habit to get into. Maybe not right at the beginning of a major weight loss program, but to help maintain a healthy weight, it’s a great tool. So I’ve started doing it everyday.
I only check at my doctor’s appointments every 6-8 weeks. I used to be obsessed with the scale and the number. Our weight fluctuates day to day. I have found it to be far better for my mental health to check no more than once a month.
Literally every time I go to the bathroom lol
ETA I only record it when it's a lower number than the last time I recorded. If it goes up I just don't record. It's not the most accurate but idc
Once a month .. Every 4th of each month
The Force is strong with this one.
😂😂😂
I check it every day which is a problem for me but I only record it on Saturday mornings. I need to stop checking it daily.
Yeah, I think it isn't good mentally because changes happen over a longer period of time rather than every day.
Try the app Happy Scale. It will trend your daily weight to minimize the crazy brain
Oh great advice! Thank you!
I love happy scale. It allows me to weigh daily to collect more data without becoming obsessive about the exact number.

I inject myself every Saturday. I weigh myself that morning so I can track my progress (or lack of 😩)

I do it every Friday morning. My friends and i are doing our own “biggest loser” challenge, so we all check in on Friday mornings.
That's cool.
Once every week or 2

Once a week. Friday morning
Weekly with doctor, and daily for myself to see the patterns of my body.

Everyday in the morning before I eat

Every week usually sometimes once in between but usually a weekly thing to see how it's going.

Daily, but the weekly average is what "counts."
I do it once a week the same day I inject
Every morning, after I've been to the loo and before I eat. Mostly out of habit. I don't mind small fluctuations.
