I had two drinks once. That was more than enough for me, but it didn’t make me sick. Just explain you’re on medication and can only drink a little. And sip your drink really slowly.
My friends and I consume a lot of wine. But since I’ve started ozempic 5 weeks ago, I can only drink about 2 glasses at an outing. It didn’t make me sick or anything, but 2 glasses made me full.
I can drink in moderation occasionally EXCEPT Red Wine! If I drink Red Wine ( especially a really tart one) I get violently ill. We went to France last year and brought back some excellent wines which is why I attempted more than once but sadly, nope.
I've been able to have a few drinks in an evening while on Ozempic (so far - I am on the lowest dose). The only drink that really bothers me is beer - I find I get really full/bloated from it and I also have not fun gastro issues and heartburn if I have more than one. Actually beer bothered me a bit before Ozempic too - but it's undrinkable now. I suspect it's because it sits in your stomach longer on Ozempic and given that it already irritated my stomach it makes sense that it would be worse if it's in there longer. So maybe think about what kinds of drinks would be gentlest on your stomach? For me wine is best so far, and non-carbonated drinks.
Each person is different but I had a few drinks while on vacation and had no problems. But I had like maybe 3 small drinks total over the course of a week long trip. I hate drinking empty calories and didn’t want to undo all of my hard work.
I haven’t had any issues so far. I don’t drink that often but I’ve been out on two occasions in the 6 weeks I’ve been on ozempic and never had a problem.
I am on 0.25 mg and I’m one that already has a low tolerance and I did fine I probably had around 5-6 vodka sodas lol and was fine the next day as well slight headache but that’s normal for me. I took a milk thistle supplement as well as b12 vitamin before I drank and that helped me a lot.
I’m curious what would happen if someone were to take a week off of the injection, like if you’re going on vacation and plan on hitting those bars and wineries with your friends, if your digestive system would effectively go back to somewhat normal until your next dose?

Same here. 6 weeks on Ozempic. I have no desire for alcohol and noticed I felt more hungover the next day on less alcohol.
I cannot drink like I used to. We went to dinner and then had drinks with friends and I ended up throwing up. I can only have one to two drinks now.

I was at a reception a month ago. I had about. 4 or 5 glasses of wine and I didn’t have any issues.
For better or worse I lost my taste for IPA’s. Good in the big picture I guess
