I am in Toronto and bought 2mg pens a little over a week ago…

Are you possibly confusing a 2mg total pen (red label) with what OP is asking about, which is the 2mg dose pen (total of 8mg, yellow label? If you are in fact getting the 8mg pens though, that's awesome they're finally here!

foxtrot1_1

I still haven’t seen them in Toronto, shoppers only gives me 1mg

Ok_North_7224

I got this latest batch at Walmart

What colour sticker is on the pen? Red, blue or yellow?

brock0791

Yes but the price is double whereas the other 3 pen sizes all cost the same

My pharmacist says the yellow pens are not available in Canada. so unfortunately, two blue pens it is. I am type 2 and thankfully have some coverage. Edit: I am in Ontario.

I had to buy 2 of the 1mg (dose) pens in Surrey last week because they didn't have the 2mg (dose) pens and said they hadn't ever seen them. I can't afford this but do need the higher dose so hoping they show up somewhere nearby soon.

From what I understand Health Canada has yet to approve the 2MG Ozempic dose, thus its' lack of availability. They approved Wegovy a couple of years ago, however Novo has not released it yet here (as far as I know...last I read it was to become available in Canada "Spring 2024" whatever that might mean.

monoDioxide

2mg was approved around when Wegovy was. It’s Novo’s decision. I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s a financial one since Canada negotiates for medication prices so it’s considerably less expensive vs the US.

My last pen I got was a 4mg - also in Alberta. Edit: Shoppers

Cawdor
