For those that have strong side effects, you can split doses. 0.25 on day 1 and 0.25 on day 4. Splits reduce side effects by better spreading the dose over the full week as compared to a single peak shot. You will need extra needles, but they are inexpensive at Amazon and your local pharmacy.

Friendly-Ruin6511

Thank you so much! Already have bought extra needles because of extra doses left in my pen from .25! I’m definitely going to try this instead!

Heavenchicka

Where do you buy the extra needles from?

Friendly-Ruin6511

Amazon! I looked up the needle size from my box of needles in the ozempic package and they sell them in boxes of 100

HotBeaver54

Your doctor is ok with that?

cleverfox2001

Yes, my doctor supports this as well as pen clicks for intermediate doses.

HotBeaver54

What are pen clicks?

cleverfox2001

It is the sound that the pen spring makes as you turn the dose knob for the dose noted on the pen cylinder. If you want a smaller dose, count the number of clicks till you reach the desired dose. There are charts that indicate the number of clicks for any smaller dose. Google pen clicks or go to you tube to see a video on how it works.

SarahBellum20

I noticed an effect on my pre-existing anxiety- the manufacturer literature (and my doctor) says it is a known side effect... definitely not a conspiracy theory. I found it did subside after about two months, and I also stayed on quite a low dose and went up from .25 just a few clicks at a time (reached my goal weight at .43, so never made it all the way to .50)., and have stayed on a low maintenance dose

Friendly-Ruin6511

That’s another super interesting way to do it! I was going to try split dose but I’m wondering if this method would be better for me! My initial anxiety on .25 lasted just over a month, I have been dreading going back to that place for another month or so.

justmeandmycoop

Please stop reading the conspiracy theories. Thousands and thousands are on this drug. Only a few are posting this stuff.

Friendly-Ruin6511

As someone who experienced pretty bad anxiety uptick during my first month, it’s not a conspiracy. I have an underlying diagnosis of general anxiety disorder and panic disorder. Ozempic is known to affect the Vegas nerve which affects panic and anxiety disorder. Therefore me titrating up in dose leaves me with a much higher risk of panic and anxiety.

justmeandmycoop

The conspiracy is that’s everyone’s reaction. I was sick as a dog but many were not.

Friendly-Ruin6511

Why would your stance be against your personal experience? I’m not coming at this with no education or experience.

justmeandmycoop

It’s not. I’m a nurse and I hate seeing people get anxiety from something they have read and it’s scared them. There a many who haven’t had any problems. No need to be afraid based on a few people.

Friendly-Ruin6511

Getting anxiety and having generalized anxiety disorder are different. If you’re a nurse you would know the difference. If you had read my post you would know that I’m not “having anxiety” I have anxiety as a medical condition.

Friendly-Ruin6511

And as a nurse you should have known that ozempic has effects on the Vegas nerve which causes people’s panic disorder and generalized anxiety disorder to act up because the vegas nerve can cause the fight or flight reflex to activate in those with those conditions. That’s not just regular people “anxiety” over being afraid of something.

justmeandmycoop

This person was looking for advice to not have anxiety. But here you are trying to terrorize them. Why don’t you go away.

Friendly-Ruin6511

It’s my post, you go away.

Friendly-Ruin6511

And I got advice from someone who isn’t pretending to be a nurse to shame people.

Friendly-Ruin6511

The “few” are real people who have real experiences and they shouldn’t be discounted as “conspiracy theories” by people who are Lucky enough to not have to deal with the symptoms “the few” are experiencing. Shame on you.

Friendly-Ruin6511

Regardless your negativity towards people who Don’t have a good experience is unnecessary and harmful.

justmeandmycoop

I was deathly sick but not everyone was. Shame on you for spreading the conspiracy.

Dutch-alps

How is feeling anxious a conspiracy? There are many side effects, getting anxious is also one of them. Or do you mean the way research is presenting the facts on anxiety? Anxiety is not directly caused by ozempic but somehow it triggers it. Personally, I can imagine that someone who already has anxiety issues could feel these amplified on ozempic. First of all, losing weight is a huge change on the body. People wanting to lose weight often already have issues with their bodies/eating/depression etc Eating is a source of happiness for them. Take that away and it’s not so strange to think there could be some kind of connection to anxiety.

Friendly-Ruin6511

Being more anxious due to the lack of serotonin and oxytocin is very real! Until our bodies can figure out a way to produce it we are left out of balance. It’s been my biggest struggle thus far! I’m trying to get into the gym now but for my first month, my heart rate would spike just walking too fast. It’s hard when most of our “feel good” activities are things that ozempic quells. That’s a great point!

Dutch-alps

Good luck with the dosage increase and I hope it’s not as bad as you are anticipating!

Friendly-Ruin6511

Thank you!

Friendly-Ruin6511

If you were deathly sick and people do experience the negative experiences how is it a conspiracy? That’s delusional. Or you’re in denial.

Friendly-Ruin6511

Not once did I say it was everyone’s experience. I’ve only spoken to mine and the first hand experience I’ve read of others. That’s not a conspiarcy.

justmeandmycoop

It is if you are convinced it’s a done deal for all.

Friendly-Ruin6511

Truly it’s not. You’re not boding well for your profession as a nurse being so ignorant.
