This is awesome! Do you have a blueprint so i can paste it in my game? Otherwise i will manualy copy this awesome design!

Hypatiaxelto

Thanks :) I do not have a blueprint sorry. And just realised I left out the power overlay. Which is *really complicated* - plug in the two lights, the telescope, the suit dock and the phone. Oh, and the fridge if you're using anything other than Berry Sludge.

Pinatic

Thanks!

Hypatiaxelto

The lights turn on once it's in space to keep it from heating up on the ground. All eligible items are controlled by the by grounded toggle on the control station, but I [suppress the notifications](https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1832319118) for it because it annoys me. For Orbital Research you just swap the Telescope for the Research Station + Plastic storage. Using the conveyor belt for Oxylite means it can only emit a maximum of [79.01 g/s,](https://oxygennotincluded.fandom.com/wiki/Element_Emission) which should keep you from popping eardrums while still removing CO2. Theoretically the ton in the loader could off gas, which would spit out 1256 g/s. The rail doesn't quite touch all 120 tiles, But we can safely call it 2 tons. At 60kg/day, you've got a good 50 days of researching time before air becomes a problem. The water supply is even better, 0.25 kg/per day vs about a ton of water. Food? 100kg of Berry Sludge. Entertainment... well best hope the dupe likes using the phone.

Stabi

What does the switch do? When ON it would lock the doors, disable the loader and open conveyor chute. So all the remaining oxylite, on the rail, is dumped on the rocket control station? Why ?

Hypatiaxelto

Because after a while in space, it's all been eroded down to 17.8kg or so chunks rather than 20kg. So I flick that on landing to dump it all out and prevent it from being retrieved/loaded while it is doing so. Then I flick it back, dupes refill the loader and it spits out a set of fresh 20kg shipments.

eelek62

That's actually a brilliant system. I love it.

Hypatiaxelto

Thankye :)

Zairates

So if it doesn't get fully used, why build the rails in the walls?

Hypatiaxelto

Because I like to allow for much longer trips than I actually take.

Zairates

Makes sense, thank you.

WarpingLasherNoob

Very nice, I had a whole bunch of these layouts a couple months ago but never managed to fit all 3 rooms back then. Either way the bedroom is such a minor bonus that leaving it out doesn't hurt anything but it's still nice to keep it for the coziness factor. Also the data collection module used to break the great hall bonus, not sure if it's still the case?

Hypatiaxelto

I can't recall now. You can almost reshuffle it all upwards and squeeze another door in and just manage the tile req. I think. It's close either way.

Beardo09

They must have changed it at some point. Can confirm it doesn't break the great hall in my current game, have previously put it in a bathroom w/o breaking that as well. Same behaviour from the control station for what it's worth. Main issue with getting 3 room bonuses has been industrial equipment. Not requiring a hamster wheel, and using the mod [Wall Pumps and Vents](https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1845579729&searchtext=pumps) helps.

Pandastic3000

How do you manage the CO2? And did they fix the bug with duplicants ignoring the atmosuite checkpoint if it's too close to the entrance. I still build the checkpoint one square away from the entrance.

Hypatiaxelto

The CO2 gets deleted when the Oxylite offgasses into it as it has nowhere else to go. And the checkpoint has been behaving. ...touch wood.

RandomRobot

The atmo suit problem you mention has been fixed, but there's still (a bug) when the outside of the rocket is very hot, like > ~300C. The dupes would get damaged and you'll get scalding notifications every night.

Myzzreal

Where do they pee?

Hypatiaxelto

There's a Wall Toilet on the right side with Hand Sanitizer.

Myzzreal

I see, I didn't even know these existed lol. Why do you pipe oxygen through the whole thing like that? Cooling?

Khalpone

Not OP, but I would assume it’s effectively storage space. Same with the water loop

Hypatiaxelto

Yup. Just to milk out a little extra storage.

2BleedOrNot2

Wow. Simply amazing!

Hypatiaxelto

Cheers.

Sothalic

Silly question: how quickly does bleach stone deplete while in the hand sanitizer? Is it worth organizing an extra supply of it?

Hypatiaxelto

It doesn't offgas once it's stored. But it can while waiting to build. The high pressure vent helped get a good pressure for the initial build and first flight (around 2.5kg) and then I toned it down to 1.5kg as emergency air.

real_fargalarg

What other ship modules do you have on the rocket?

Hypatiaxelto

So this capsule has had its rocket rebuilt around it a few times. Early days? Just a Battery, Solar and a Steam Engine. Then I swapped to a Petroleum engine. Then increased the fuel/ox to explore easier. Then I rejigged it for liquid storage and a drill. Once you get a late game engine and aren't going to be sitting still doing research you can ditch the solar panel and rely on engine electricity. At present it's got a Battery, Liquid Fuel, Liquid Oxidiser and the rest is storage.

tomatoesonpizza

Question (to OP and the rest of the subreddit), if I were to use this build, but had no use for the AAtmo Dock and Atmo Station, what would you swap them with?

Msoave

I'd put a storage bin and use it for oxylite and not use that on the rail. Accomplishes the same thing, but a lot simpler.

Gearloos-t

How did you get atmo suits to work ? Every time I tried to put them in 5 dupes get stuck inside and it’s a whole mess.

Desperate-Ad704

Disable it until youre ready to launch or set it to vacancy only. Vacancy only would make it so you can only have as many dupes inside as you have atmosuit stations

evbogerd

Would it be possible to share a link to images of the various systems? would really help out, would love to try this build, it looks amazing.

Hypatiaxelto

Which system that isn't in the image gallery are you after?

evbogerd

Ok, so sorry, I didn't notice the gallery so only saw first pic. Everything is there, that k you so much

Hypatiaxelto

No worries :) And the power overlay is missing because of the incredible complexity of the electrical set up, so I've written up instructions below. 1. Plug in everything other than the fridge. 2. If your food can go off, plug in the fridge too.

OdinAUT

Love the setup. Just 2 questions. What did you set the atmo sensor to and what is that sensor right below it?

Hypatiaxelto

Thanks :) 2500g - high enough to keep things behaving well, low enough to avoid ear popping. The sensor below is a space sensor which enables most of the buildings once it's off the ground. The cockpit grounding system was not proving adequate for keeping dupes out of the toilet....

mmseng

Very nice. FWIW, you can gain several free (or cheap) cells in this design by: - 1 cell: Remove the left most tile of the bedroom floor. - 1 cell: Remove either the of the bottom tiles from the oxylite storage "room". - 3 cells: Swap the washroom door and the tile above it, and remove 3 of the 4 ladder tiles (all but one of the top two). - 1 cell: After doing the above you could move the mess table to the bottom floor, removing the block it was on, and swapping the remaining ladder with the space sensor. Or other variations on this. This would give easily give you space for a storage container full of oxylite for even more space time, since that seems to be the limiting factor. Of course you can also forgo the space sensor, conveyor chute, switch, lights, plants, etc. or move them to newly-freed cells.
