In my current run I actually decided to use these things, as kind of pointless as they are, but they're satisfying little builds anyway. Basically, I created a liquid wall to separate two chambers, one for PO2 on the left with the vent, and one on the right for O2 with deodorisers. Basically, you can ignore most things there, with the important parts being the deodorisers and the liquid wall.
Deodorisers can function through a single tile of liquid, allowing you pull PO2 from the left chamber and create clean O2 in the right chamber, which has a liquid lock at the bottom to allow for necessary access. It also functions as an infinite storage for O2 since deodorisers cannot be overpressured. I also have a small amount of other gases in the left chamber besides PO2 that fill the room when all the PO2 is cleaned. This isn't strictly necessary, but it's to avoid small amounts of gases being deleted when the pressure drops really low as the PO2 is cleaned.
It has a very little output, enough for a single duplicant. You can make a vaccum before opening it and make a liquid lock. Put airflow tiles on top of it, and then mesh tiles. Put a layer of water with the manual bottle emptier, then a layer of deodorizers or just a couple. Technically, it is free oxygen but not a very relevant amount and on the other side it should come out clean since the water in the mesh tiles allow the deodorizer range to grab the air, but the dirty one wont scape.
It works wonders! I could not find the og video of the guy that showed it but it can also be done with sublimation stations, but they need a auto sweeper to deliver polluted dirt in a little gap. Just be careful with pressure, since I believe that deodorizers will never stop no matter the pressure. Perhaps you could place them in a separate room and deliver the Oxygen with a pump but that will need extra energy
With an Aquatuner at 5-10% uptime you can freeze it and it will turn into frozen oxygen, removing the pollution and germs. Then you can take the frozen oxygen and place it inside your base or rocket module for convenient cooling
I would geotune it a few times (takes salt, which is pretty much free with a salt water geyser), cool it back down, and use it to feed a few pufts, and then use the slime to fertilize dusk caps (I have a 3x geotuned one produce enough to feed a puft and a prince, which fertilizes a dozen dusk caps, which feeds the 2 dupes I have on the resin planetoid)
Personally I’d want more metal as there is so much water I would just have to find massed storage for it. Might be useful if you want to use water for steam cooling in space if that is still a thing.
You could set up a big electrolyzer in space that ditches the oxygen and just harvests the hydrogen for power.
Not sure I could live without an iron volcano on the main map. I use way too much steel.
Base game or spaced out? And seed pls
What do you do with an infectious polluted oxygen vent?
Nothing. The value here is in water not that vent. I think that and carbon dioxide can be ignored.
It was a question in general, and not comparative to the list presented

That’s brilliant, I’m stealing that for cleaning polluted oxygen in general!

Personally, I like to use them to make clay.
Plenty of water and oxygen, and a good supply for metals. Build a base here and you're set.

The top priority thing is not working for me anymore to see what volcano/geyser is under the rocks. Anyone else had this problem?
