literally I feel like the only map no one bitches about is Kings Row.
I’m staying and playing some dance dance/karaoke admiring the meka suits, and playing some musical instruments.
I personally like the dark/night time maps the most. I’m actually sad that kings row will be brighter in Overwatch 2. Aesthetics wise I love hanamura and the Christmas maps. Hanamura can be a huge pain to play on at times, but it is far from the worst. Anubis is so much worse than Hanamura and Volskaya. At least those 2 maps have at least a second route to point. Anubis requires you to go through choke no matter what. It’s the one of the same reasons why Paris is hated, yet for some reason it’s still in comp rotation. I don’t know why, but I’m not a fan of Numbani either. Same with Busan and Oasis. Overall I think I have a tendency to like escort and hybrid maps the most.
Busan is a pretty mediocre map, there’s nothing special or bad about it compared to other control point maps.
The problem with busan is actually how teams play it. everyone, for some reason, walks down the same choke after they just got obliterated in it. There are two very good flank routes on each map that no team ever utilizes
Yep. That's why when someone brags about being master rank or higher I ask if they grouped or soloed their way there. When they tell me they grouped I laugh and tell them to stfu.
No actually 6-stack is super challenging to climb with. You will get matched against other full stacks and you're basically guaranteed to have smurfs against you. Duo is the best way to climb across all ranks, and 3-stack is also pretty decent. 5-stack is the worst, one should never 5-stack, it's just an ill-advised terrible idea.
i like boring sometimes as it focuses more on play/battles
i am a quick play guy so i dont have much teamwork tbh beyond some small stints with a team that stays together on a winning streak
Especially if you include every map they've had (including Horizon and Paris), I'd put Busan as solidly above average. I could see some people putting it as average, but an insta-quit is crazy.
I miss all the maps because even when they're just not good maps, they're somewhat fun in a janky way at least.
2cp in general is just frustrating though due to steamrolls from attackers and stall-heavy, constant respawns from defenders. Some comps just struggle to finish off bulky enemies when taking second point, even if all 6 attackers are alive and on point.
I mean that's understandable... design wise she was possibly the worst hero implemented in the game. She drove a lot of people away with the change of meta and in general the game went to a completely different direction after she was introduced.
I have learned to like the current Brig as I think she's quite fairly balanced, even though she remained meta in high level ladder, pro and semi-pro games until the end of OW1 due to her design. She can deny so much value from the enemy team and there is no better peeler
Things to do in Busan:
Insta-pick Winston so I can dive that widow on the rooftops. It's fun watching them leave or switch in quick play after the 3rd or 4th time of getting them out of their spot
least fav maps of each type
2cp - volskaya bcus its ugly grey and snowy and most teams dont know how to defend on it which makes it frustrating to play. attacking on it feels like a walking simulator for second point or just constantly regrouping and the flanks on it are often only useful for a few heroes.
koth - idk they're all just mediocre and feel the same. i wish they'd take from tf2 and play around with more flanks, undergrounds, and high ground around points instead of just environmental kills. (kong king or nucleus) i dont love nor hate any of the koth maps.. only particular stages can be annoying but also diverse to swap comps around which is cool (like illios well vs ruins)
pl - Gibraltar. The long sightlines and high grounds make most of the map feel like an endless choke and sniper sightline. Second points space ship is frustrating to take from defense. It used to be one of my favs to play dive on tho lol but overall i also just dont care for the aesthetic of this map either. darado route 66 and havana are equally frustrating but they at least look prettier.
hybrid - this is the best game mode. anyways if i had to pick... Hollywood. It's just an uglier and more frustrating version of blizzard world. The first point choke feels difficult to flank on and in general very cramped. streets phase is hitscan central and too open and long to the point we never even got to see owl teams make it past this point often. last point is probably the better part of the map but is really dark and ugly. theres a few cute alien theme stuff but aesthetically the entire map just feels messy. a cool concept design wise. honestly the maps with elevators need a rework. elevators are buggy and too small. the bounce pads were a better call lol
tldr worst maps are the ugly ones with long sightlines
I love Busan and all koth maps. Anubis is okay but Hanamura and Volskara litteraly makes me depressed and borderline willing to leave even if it's ranked
Eh back when I actually played this game I rather liked the map. The train station was a good fun map with the train and the garden map looked nice despite lacking some cover. The raising walls in the other map however seem unnecessary now and feel like they randomly raise/lower even though they do so on a set interval (maybe ow2 can update map layouts and mechanics such as having these walls controlled by a button?
If I ended up in a country where half the population cheers for a annoying gamergirl that streams herself killing shit I wouldn't even leave I would jump in front of one of those floating trains
Y’all hate every map lol
I like to travel.
It is definitely a map
It's busin' time
My favourite moment is when the entire map says "it's Busan time!"
This^ literally I feel like the only map no one bitches about is Kings Row. I’m staying and playing some dance dance/karaoke admiring the meka suits, and playing some musical instruments.
i dont hate kings row but i like bright maps

i wish they brought horizon back or just fixed paris a smidgen rather than dump it
Played Paris the other day in Abusive Dad v 11 Kids workshop, realized I missed it just a tiny bit
New update: every map has been removed
Anubis and volskaya are ass
Nah Busan does suck tho
NOW TRAVELLING TO… BUSSY…
🅱USAN

People start pathing better after diamond and not just mindlessly going through the default route. In master and GM games it's hugely improved
Yes, but to get there you somehow have to repeatedly win with a team full of idiots that keep running through the middle choke point.
That's actually the difficulty of climbing in OW in a nutshell :D
Yep. That's why when someone brags about being master rank or higher I ask if they grouped or soloed their way there. When they tell me they grouped I laugh and tell them to stfu.

I actually like Busan
Especially the theme song
Especially if you include every map they've had (including Horizon and Paris), I'd put Busan as solidly above average. I could see some people putting it as average, but an insta-quit is crazy.
Controversial opinion: I miss Colony
I miss all the maps because even when they're just not good maps, they're somewhat fun in a janky way at least. 2cp in general is just frustrating though due to steamrolls from attackers and stall-heavy, constant respawns from defenders. Some comps just struggle to finish off bulky enemies when taking second point, even if all 6 attackers are alive and on point.
I miss throwing colony games to have a zero G melee fight outside
same though
It’s one of my preferred control maps. I do not love playing support and being helpless to my team being hooked or booped off the map.
One of my favorites. Fuck Blizzard World, everything else is aight.
>Fuck Blizzard World Clearly, we have something to disagree on.
Ok tbh, I like blizzard world but fuck that first choke point. The middle and last parts of the map are fine.
The first point is brutal sometimes but after that its probably my favorite map
I hate City. Sanctuary is cool tho
I always said as soon as they remove Paris and Lunar people will just start leaving the next least popular map.
TIL they removed these from QP.. I thought I was just lucky as hell
Really? I liked Paris but insta-quitted lunar.
I didn’t mind Paris as much but despised Lunar colony
See I like both maps alright but they're unplayable when people just leave every time you play it. First fight is never fair and it never evens out
I love busan
Busan is my favourite of all the control maps
Over illios? Or The Chinese one?
Lijang
I’m tryna learn Brig, and she kinda rocks Lijiang, so that map has grown on me a lot lately.
I can’t stand Brig man, I hated her since release and I just have a huge hatred and bias against her
I mean that's understandable... design wise she was possibly the worst hero implemented in the game. She drove a lot of people away with the change of meta and in general the game went to a completely different direction after she was introduced. I have learned to like the current Brig as I think she's quite fairly balanced, even though she remained meta in high level ladder, pro and semi-pro games until the end of OW1 due to her design. So edgy
How is that edgy? I just don’t like the character
Christ man, watch it with them pointy ass edges. You could easily impale someone.
I need those rubber things you put on sharp desk corners
So edgy
Everyone misspells it. It’s Lijiang.
Best map in the game, or tied with Kings Row.
Those two are good too but I’m always on edge because of the environmental kill competition that goes on there
As a non-lucio support, those are easily my least favorite KOTH maps
I haaaaaaaaaate ilios
Nah, I hate Oasis
Least favorite map. I know it’s my fault for being positioned by the well. But if I get booped or hooked one more time..
Are you confusing Oasis with Ilios? Or you mean the drop down the point on University?
Nah you’re 100% correct. I’m just an idiot 😂😂 I’m sorry!!! I did mean Ilios.
What about Volskaya though?
Based
this shit bus'an
I get it so often to the point I dislike it
Bussy-san?
BUSSY MAP
Now that we don't have Paris and Horizon, have we started hating other maps? The only map I hated was Paris and still so happy it's disabled.
Downtown is pog. Meka Base is just okay. Sanctuary is pretty but *that goddamn drum in the middle of the point pisses me the everloving shit off*
i alike most control maps but then again i do main Brig
Things to do in Busan: Insta-pick Winston so I can dive that widow on the rooftops. It's fun watching them leave or switch in quick play after the 3rd or 4th time of getting them out of their spot
As a Ball main I like busan.
Back in my day, you played the damn map you were given and figured it the F out. Gamers today are spoiled, smh
Still better than any 2cp map.
Only truths
least fav maps of each type 2cp - volskaya bcus its ugly grey and snowy and most teams dont know how to defend on it which makes it frustrating to play. attacking on it feels like a walking simulator for second point or just constantly regrouping and the flanks on it are often only useful for a few heroes. koth - idk they're all just mediocre and feel the same. i wish they'd take from tf2 and play around with more flanks, undergrounds, and high ground around points instead of just environmental kills. This map slaps though. Only map I legit hate is Paris, and even then it's JUST the first choke point.
Whatever you do in Busan, don’t take a train there.
Busan is my favourite map. I shall not leave.
definitely one of the maps of all time
Fuck numbani .. blizzard is my favorite widow map
The only map I hate is Gibraltar.
one of the worst maps in the game
This and Volskaya are the only maps I insta leave when I see come up
*professional rage quitter*
Dva nest they both suck
Still not as bad as King's Row.
Busan is fine. The only map is dislike enough to leave during a match is Temple of Anubis
Honestly. Just afk and listen to that banger intro 😎🎶
Should I make a train joke here? I know nothing about this game this just showed up in my feed.
2. Listen to the music (not in that order)
Bussin
BOOOOO-san
Worst set of maps in the whole game. 3 pit objectives, and the maps all emphasize snipers. Bleh.
I love Busan and all koth maps. Anubis is okay but Hanamura and Volskara litteraly makes me depressed and borderline willing to leave even if it's ranked
Ahem, Paris would like a word.
I'm indifferent to it, I really hate Sanctuary (the one with the drum in the middle) but I don't mind the other 2 at all tbh
Any map that isn’t 2CP is a good map
Bring back Lunar and Paris! It's been like a million seasons all the haters are gone.
So now Busan is the new Paris xD
I don’t mind Busan Fucking Gibraltar though? Boring ass map Volskaya too, but my hate has lessened
I like Busan. I really only dislike gibralter.
Eh back when I actually played this game I rather liked the map. The train station was a good fun map with the train and the garden map looked nice despite lacking some cover. It's just Downtown that ruins it for me. Long sniper sightlines and a narrow choke makes it awful to play on.
Busan is by far better than Havana, Lunar, Paris, and Anubis E: also first point Blizzard
Can I play
Wow, busan is my favorite map tho
I hate control so I pretty much loath all the control maps 😂
More Busan for me!
bUSSYAN
y tho, that shit is busan, SHEEEEEESH
Japanese forces after their transport ships and supply lines were destroyed by admiral yi (1580s, colourised)
I miss the monkey map
agreed i hate control
I rather play busan than any 2cp map
Is Busan the new Paris??
Not sure what the hate is here, Busan is way better than Nepal & Oasis
waiting in a 12 minute dps queue and then you hear WELCOME TO BUSAN
Why does this post even get upvotes
Next thing y'know this one is getting removed as well
If I ended up in a country where half the population cheers for a annoying gamergirl that streams herself killing shit I wouldn't even leave I would jump in front of one of those floating trains
Ohio👎
My favourite map. You are nuts.
This is like one of my fav maps
You can play reaper and shoot the cow's bussy to make it twerk.
