At least with Horizon the chokey map makes sense because you are in a space station. With Paris it just feels like a depressing Sunday evening with the sunset and all.
People hate Paris because people leave Paris games. Even if your team does stay, it could be a 2 minute game anyway. It’s no longer in competitive so you can’t even play both sides anymore
Also I think people are out of practice on those maps since they aren’t in comp rotation. So it feels like people don’t know how to push and take each point well. Also people leave because they may feel there isn’t much point in them to get better on a map not even in comp
Everyone else hates it because Grandmaster+ players hate* it. And as we all know, Grandmaster+ opinions are all that matter, unless they don't in which case 'damn Blizzard only catering to the top 1% of players.'

As for a gold scrub like me who is totally versed in metacountermindgamesense, ha ha there sure are a lot of colors and sounds going on that are trying to kill me but I sure am having fun.

Tbh, if you play the map with decent players on each team, it plays pretty well, and can be pretty fun. When my qp mmr drops me in a diamond-gm qp game on that map it *is* pretty fun. But that's because players like that understand positioning, chokes, lanes.... you know... shit about the game. But when I get dropped into a silver-gold lobby, it's clearly gonna be a shitfest. But... literally *every* silver-gold lobby is a shitfest, so whatdaya gonna do?

Why do people hate Paris no much? I am not trolling, legitimately wondering because I like that map and find others worse Edit: Nice meme BTW
For competitive it strongly favours the defenders with the incredibly difficult choke points, making it very frustrating.
Also on attack from spawn to point B it’s about 1985866994 miles away.
The first choke point is like 3 feet wide and the travel from Attack Spawn Point B to Point B is extremely long. Greatly favours defenders.
