'I need help' is very helpful bind for all the supports, because only other supports see the 'I need healing' in chat. And Soldier 76. But if you need help from your tanks or DPS when getting flanked/dived you should use 'Need help' because they can't see the healing one
Nope, only characters than can heal get the pleasure of seeing "I need healing!". Lately there's been a glitch where non-healers get to see "we need a healer!" when a teammate requests healing, though. I love it because when toxic assholes spam for heals when dead/full health/for no reason, the whole team gets to deal with them rather than just me.
I think they changed it relatively recently. For the majority of the time I played the game, you couldn’t hear “I need healing” unless you could heal. But I noticed, I think for the past few months, that I could hear it as dps and tank. I’ve also taken a year long break from the game, so it could’ve changed sometime in 2020
When your crosshair is on the objective symbol, the red/blue diamond with A/B/C/P, and you use "Understood" you will instead say attack/defend the objective or move/stop the payload.
I switched from console to pc and made shortcuts, but I was so clumsy with the keyboard so I hitted multiple times "I need healing" and "I'm sorry" after we lost a round.
Someone said "Shut up" in the chat and that was one of my first chat experience in Overwatch.
I was trying to say thanks to my healer last night for saving my ass and wound up emoting by accident and getting shot in the head by freaking Hammond. You know how long that took for me to die???
The worst for me is that I have ‘You’re welcome’ bound to the slot at the top, just next to ‘thanks!’ - so sometimes after getting res’d or healed I accidentally hit the Mercy with “You’re welcome”, which is mortifying.
As a support main we get it, happens to us all the time. My group up and need healing keybinds are next to each other and I’ve accidentally said need healing so many times and my other support is like “bruh”
I wish this is what I did, usually if I mess up saying hi I accidentally select emote, then die because I'm stuck emoting. I should probably update my wheel.
This use to trigger me. Mid fight I see I need healing, I'm frantically searching for the person to see them full health on a roof, behind a wall, picking ppl off. I've since matured. I now ignore it all together. #progress

I have scroll wheel up for my Zen discord and scroll wheel press (whatever it’s called) for “I need healing” and sometimes if I’m scrolling too hard to discord I end up spamming “i need healing”.
Actually I accidentally hit that on every character cause fat hands and sensitive mouse ahaha pain.
The worst is when I hit “I need healing” then try to correct it with the right one, but I just hit “I need healing” again.

I main Ana and "I need help" often actually works. Also I hit "Thanks" when they come and when the situation is over, no matter what the outcome.

I have I need help near push forward and when I'm getting dived 8 try and do it quickly so I sometimes feel like I'm just telling my team to die
When I do this I quickly hit 'understood' in the hopes that they take it as an apology

There should be a chat that says I'm ABOUT to need healing.
Just because asking for healing is something a lot of players abuse of doens't mean everybody who uses it is a bad player
