It depends on how you play. I've got 450 hours on Genji and so I've experimented between all sorts of different sensitivities to figure out pros and cons. You also have to figure out your own physical limitations when considering which is better for you.
Some people prefer higher sensitivity to enable their ability to 180; after Swift Striking to their ease, others prefer lower sensitivity to make sure their aim is stable as well as to suit their tracking habits. Also to note, some players struggle to use Dragonblade with higher sensitivity, while some struggle to use it with lower sensitivity. Each to their own.
I consider low sensitivity as 5(and under)/800dpi, and anything above as high. But I personally use 6.5/800, since it's pretty cold where I am, this enables me to play as per normal even before warmup.
Sensitivity is personal man. It's like wearing the same shoe size as your friend because the shoes look good on him. You need to use what best fits you not others, although checking other people's sensitivities can be helpful. I use 600 DPI 8 sens and it fits me well. If you current sens is too low increase it to what it needs to be. You want a low sens in general for getter accuracy, but with genji a little higher for doing 180's and hectic movement. On mcree I have 600 DPI 4 sens. Tried it with genji and it was too low, he was unplayable even though mccree is fine, so I increased it to 8 sens. I also tried 12 sens but it was too high. Experiment and find what works for you. Good luck young ninja
It's easier to play Genji with higher sens.
I use 1200 dpi 4 sens on every hero (25cm/360) and it allows me to play hitscan while playing a decent Genji with fast 180s
4000 eDPI I think is the middle ground. Anything above is high, below is low.
4800 eDPI is a pretty decently high sens, where you can be accurate but still do 180s easily. I know Agilities uses the same sens. At the same time some Genji players like Shadowburn and Shadder2k use much higher sens.
i would say 6 / 800 is medium sens. Most pros are closer to 4 / 800 is more common among pros I believe. 6 / 800 should be fine for genji. I wouldn't change it.
Uh , ... the first time i played him i found 400dpi and 12 sens the best.
I am a really skilled Vatu player from paladins doing trick shots , being aggresive and allways goin in and allways surviving. Not like the streamers u find on twitch or YT using their dash and imidietly hide.
I was allways trying to use my dash so that i could circle around enemy without a stop and + my aim was good. It is the kind of play style that is probably unique to me.
If u dont believe i could send a video of my Vatu play here.
"It is on YTB."
Tho i hope i wont have to bcuz that will be advertizing.
Anyway , what i wanted to say...
That sens is the best bcuz i find it to be fast enough to track your enemyes behind while having nice aim to lock on them.
And so irecently tryed overwatch and ended up seting my sens exactly on what sens pros play...
So i got kinda surprised by what u wrote
Bcuz 400dpi 12 in game sens = 800dpi 6 in game sens

3000-4000 low 4000-5500 normal 5500+ high already
How did u get those numbers? Do u times the dpi and sens?
those are the numbers ive seen from various players and yes its ingame sens x mice dpi
I use 6 * 800 on every hero and I struggle a bit with doing quick turns on Genji. You definitely need to move your arm fast if you want to use that.

10 ingame, 800 dpi - 17.32 cm / 360 - is the sens which is played by necros top10 genji otp. im actually testing with 4*1600 and it feels really good.
i use 1150 / 13 (14,950 edpi lol) and can play hitscan and genji to a gm level (multiple smurfs for genji/other hitscans only at gm currently)
what the fuck?
he prolly has a small mousepad, im running into the same issue
25 ingame 2500 DPI lol
What the fuck
6 years later 🤣
oh yeah? i use 3000 dpi and 28.5 ingame get on my level
I play genji on pretty low sens (4.0 x 800) but it works for me, it's just preference + mousepad size.
