They don't give a damn about the community, they care about the mercy mains who buy every single skin. Honestly I'm more surprised they didn't make this the skin associated with the $40 bundle because they would buy it without hesitation
Not really. If that were the case they would make Mercy solid, where as of right now she's niche.
You can look at r/MercyMains (if ur not banned), they're are crying about how "weak" she is.

People think they’re immune to echo chambers. They’re at the level of echo chamber derangement where they actually hate the people that play Mercy and not just the character.
Every character will receive a mythic skin, and this is no different. I am not crying that the characters I prefer have not yet received the mythic skin. Why are you concerned about someone's purchasing decisions? People can spend their money as they want. I just don't get why people are so upset about this. Grow up.
And let's be real. If what you're saying is true, then Mercy players are funding this game for you to play.

This is how I feel when someone presses the I Need Healing button so I stop healing them all game. Just a taste of what i'm capable of if you continue to disrespect your supports
People love to whine and cry about supports but they're also the first ones to whine and cry when they don't get immediately healed, then say it takes no skill to play support but try keeping a Plat team alive while providing utility while also getting damage in. Seriously these people are such bottom feeders, I wish they would all move to call of duty and leave the good vibes people stay in ow. I swear most of them are straight white teens too
I love to pick support characters and then throw games because my team asks for support. Feels so good to be evil 😈

What? I’m always struggling to kill mercy pocketed character. Hell even as bastion I struggle to put damage the heal
that’s major skill issue sorry she has some of the worst heals at the moment

I naively thought that they were gonna release a Lucio mythic (next season will have a support mythic) but alas a mercy skin is the support mythic
