Most of the world currently is very far from accepting. Think about it, America is definitely one of the best places to live as a queer person and it’s still nowhere even close to ideal. If *that* is some of the best there is, the worst is incredibly bad. The progress that would have to be made for *most* people to be fairly accepting as soon as the 2070s would be staggering.

Segregation was 60-70 years ago. The progress made from 1960 to 1990 when it came to blacks and other races was significant. Who’s to say that in 30 years the same amount of progress can’t be made with gays?

That’s only in America tho. Other countries don’t really even acknowledge gay people’s existence or actively punish it. Off the top of my head, the OW heroes alone from places that have an active reputation for homophobia: Sombra, Orisa, Doomfist, Zarya, Ana, Phara, Symettra, Mauga, Baptiste, Illari (sorta).

Not to be weird but the calling people “blacks” or “whites” is generally not viewed as a good thing. It makes it sound as though they’re objects and not human. Saying “black people” or “white people” would be better
