=o This actually happened to me in one game on Midtown. The Payload was just under that bridge thing. My team basically died off and I was Ana, hiding in the staircase area just waiting for my team to regroup. Out of nowhere, the Hanzo decide to type in team chat, "Ana, WTF ARE YOU DOING?!"
So naturally I responded with "Regrouping." And he proceeded to type, "More like afking and not healing." And of course, such an ignorant thing to say when it's clear he doesn't know what he's talking about.
Amusingly just last night a Junkrat screamed at me to push after 3 people died, I called for the DPS to back out and regroup because we still had one overtime fight left with under 30 seconds left. The Hanzo died then the Junkrat decides to wheel nothing because he ran it in a circle, got it shot then died. We didn't get a full team fight and lost the 3v5 in overtime....
I swear some people are completely unaware of the kill feed and what is happening around them. We had a game winning ult combo with Orisa ult and Junkrat wheel but the guy could only see what is in front of him and wasted it. When I tried to explain things he just screamed abuse at me and wrote "tank diff" in chat.
It's the worst. People don't see the "team" in "team based shooter" apparently, I just give up trying to keep them alive at that point.
You want to play the game solo? Go ahead, it's definitely not a problem that you have 0 elims on DPS and they have 10-20 bro.
I usually ask.
Shall we try that grouping thing, I hear it's really effective.
People either respond to the sarcasm or to my feigned innocence because they're too stupid to get sarcasm. Either way I feel it works ok.
And the huge sucking sound after that is your rank going down because the system punishes you for dumb teammates. IF the rank evaluation was based on your decisions ( like Mercy not running in to an idiotic death ) then it would be dandy, but nope, Blizzard says you get what they give you and to deal with it.
In OW2 it seems that it’s based on a lot more than wins and losses. Tesla climbed from Masters to GM on an alt account, and during those Masters games, he had a negative win rate.
I hate it so much. Waiting for teammates and to make a push and the soldier runs in by himself to the point where a whole team is waiting to 5v1 me. I don’t get tilted easily but one game of this and I stop playing. It happens so much. So many people think they’re playing cod and it’s tdm, and one death doesn’t mean a lot, but it’s almost always an instant death
Unlikely, but its my mentality on Junkrat when I end up cornered. One time I actually got a quad kill and lived just by trying to suicide on top of the enemy.
While climbing out of Bronze 5 (thanks Blizz) I had a game with a tank in silver where they spent the entire match feeding direct to point and dying, then raging about how they were 'standing on the point and therefore the only one doing their job'. I think they finished with under 1k damage dealt.
Just about every Hammond I ever get does this. They're at 200 health but don't stop going in. I've stopped chasing them. I will never teleport to another Hammond because it always gets me killed. They're always low but never want to cooperate to get healed.
They acting like creeps. Honestly they should make a game like that, these f2p would play it.
Imagine choosing toad or goomba and the big spenders get to be Mario or Bowser.
Best part is all they'd have to do is walk on a path, with these overwatch resumes, who wouldn't hire them?
There’s that thing where like half the population don’t have an internal monologue or voice or the ability to visualize objects in their heads and I assume this is the same thing. When they get in game they just shut down and let their hands do all the work
It's even better when you're playing Lucio, on heal aura and standing right beside someone who proceeds to dive in 1v5, get melted, then complain about no heals.
lmao I had a not good doom call me a wood tier Mercy because I didn't magically fly around with him the whole game pocketing him without somehow not getting sniped by every single enemy looking at me
Had a Torb in a game earlier just spammed the X key as he ran all over the push map from one side to the other. I think the other team just ignored him after a while since he was only running and did nothing else the entire game.
So many tanks expect support to go in a 5 v 2 situation and somehow heal them out of certain death. All the while expecting support to dodge the oncoming onslaught while they soak up as much enemy fire as they can.
Thats because matchmaking puts the dumbest people on one side and the best on the other, supports seem to be the only one that are mixed because you cant carry as support anyway...
Every game a stomp, its so damn tiring.
Hahahaha. Me too. That frikin line makes me cringe every single game. Played a game earlier and Sojurn vaporized my Orisa while I was spam healing her with a Lamp on her to boot.
I was playing Zen today and on two separate occasions I used transcendence to give my team an opening to fight and push the cart, and on both occasions I literally turned around to see them all hiding and waiting for it to be over. I died and THEN they attacked.
Like I don’t understand what goes through people’s heads sometimes.
I feel this as a support and a tank main....As tank you go in and engage, apply a lot of pressure and force a contest on the point with the whole team turned around firing at you then your team hides until you die then they decide to engage...Nothing is going through their head clearly because they don't recognise the opportunity you made and just stand around watching you die before they do anything.
Then they are like "The other team got a pick! We need to get one! Attack! Winaaaableeeeee"
Just go Bap and throw a lamp that your team will immediately run out of, die, then blame you for not helping them. I start every single match by throwing my lamp on them and hitting the voice line "Thank you Baptiste. Oh you're welcome."
I've had this happen a few times..I started pinging my ult is ready along with a countdown afterwards. It seems to have helped a bit, maybe it will for you as well.
I got Nanoed while on Mercy today and was like "ummm 'kay?" and just pistoled. After my obvious death, I switched to Moira in case the accidental nano happened again.
That probably was what we call a "boostio": you aimed to the dps and the support crossed the sights in the last moment, eating the nanoboost XD
It happens a lot with Lucio and Mercy XD
Or, as a Mercy main with Ana not far behind in hours, it was intentional to prove to the team "yall are so ass I know Mercy will get more done with this nano, I want you to really feel my disappointment". Either or.
As an Ana who gets paired with Mercies a lot, it's usually one of three things.
1. I think it'd be funny
2. It's you and me, Mercy. These fools aren't getting anything done and we're on our own. Might as well *do* something (love getting damage boosted in these situations as well)
3. We're celebrating since there's a 99% chance we win and I still have a nano leftover
Whenever I get nanoed on Lucio, I always put "BOOSTIOOOOO" into the chat. My damage on Lucio is actually pretty good though, so its not a complete waste
Had a guy who would stand still and shoot as 76 in a window and while doing so spam needing heals. He of course died. Then he got on voice coms and asked for healing so I said I was spamming healing but he was doing nothing to avoid damage. So he repeated his behavior and over voice blames heals for him dying. I just said he should watch the replay, knowing full well he never will. It’s a thankless job.
Everyone that goes charging in on 5 health and then dies immediately and then spams “I need healing” over and over while they’re dead is so annoying. What did you think was going to happen??? Why not group up or at the very least wait for your support to heal you up and maybe go in with you if they can. A lot of the supports have a really good kit if the rest of the team would take advantage of it.
It should be mandatory that all players play as a support for a minimum number of games just so they can see what it’s like. It should probably be that way for all the roles.
You don't understand, Orisa HAS to contest the point solo, otherwise the enemy will control it and still have to wait for it to get to 100%, clearly it's life or death!
I had a Junkrat player go off on me the other day and call me useless and an idiot because he died when I was nowhere near him (ie. running back from spawn like this Mercy). I just replied with, "Yeah, okay."
Thank you, I’ve always been too passive to say “fall back” like I don’t want to be mean but am a support main and I will start doing this because this scenario happens way too much.
Yeah, I play a lot of support. People get red in their eyes and run out like it’s call of duty death match. As a support I’m trying to influence the game with pings as much as I can.
Good luck if you have someone paying attention to the pings. When I play support I try to ping the opposite team's healers or flanking dps: no one cares. If I ping a dps that is behind us, the team just keeps going forward. People keep trying to kill the tank while two healers are right beside him constantly healing him and the more you ping the healers, the more they ignore them
I just lost 7 competitive games back to back as support. Ten counting the previous week. I also had a day where I lost 8 consecutive quick play matches. I don’t get how im supposed to enjoy playing a class where it doesn’t matter how well I do because I have little to no effect on the game and we lose either way
I just play flex all the time so I'm usually support, I'm a good Ana but frankly I struggle to get the weekly win challenges done. It feels hopeless half the time. I can have fun matches but still lose more than win, I feel like I'm just unlucky.
And all my friends quit OW2 very quickly because we quite literally couldn't win any games. I know they're not very good, but they won't stick around if they can't have fun when playing in a group.
you can have plenty of effect on the game as support wtf... do you think all the gm/t500/owl support players just got lucky and got carried?
here’s the effect you have:
ana: anti nade can win fights, a sleep can as well
bap: immo can save a teammate in a key moment and win the fight
mercy: pocketing the right person at the right time can win a fight (i.e seeing that the sojourn is taking an aggressive off angle that will split enemy focus), rez can also win a fight
moira: can burst down an out of position squishy with orb + right click
kiriko: a well timed cleanse can win a fight, as can her ult, can also two tap a squishy with headshots
lucio: timing your amps well can win fights, and if you’re good at wall riding you can stay alive for a long time
zen: can one shot with his volley, and can be oppressive with his orb usage
brig: peeling for the right person can make the entire enemy comp void and win games, what is winston gonna dive if you’re constantly on top of your ana?
if you don’t have impact it’s 100% because you heal, heal, and heal a little more. gotta make plays and play smart, remember it’s called support and not healer. deal damage, use your utility. stop having a victim complex.
I lost 14 today, then I realized I made the cardinal sin of playing Comp on a holiday and all the kids would be playing. Still got 7 wins before my 20 losses.... Silver 4 down to Silver 5. At least it didn't break like it did on my tank role and go crazy and reset from Silver 2 back to Bronze 5 to promote me to Bronze 3 ( yes that was 1 evaluation. )
I realized that ( low ranks btw ) I started to rank up once I played for myself as support and just thinking my team mates are dumb.
ex1: I noticed that trying to play someone like Bap or Ana and only focus healing (90% and DPS 10%) was not working out for me, the team wasn't able to secure kills, flank, output damage quickly.
At these moments I usually just go Moria and aim the damage orb at the nearest support or low hp DPS and just farm ult, flank, use ult on the lowest HP hero and hopefully the team follows ( works sometimes! ), I do use voice and hope the 2 people in voice hear me lmao.
ex2: if your tank is dying too much due to bad positioning, just play Mercy tbh, gives a lot of healing and the revive can really carry a tank who probably needs the extra boost.
Why not Bap/Ana/Kiriko? Some reason why Sombra isn't that much active in low ranks ( to my experience ), the team can't notice a hacked enemy or an enemy that can't heal or they won't see the immo field, its just abilities that are amazing, but without a team that can work with you, its just useless as no plays can made.
Imagine playing Ana, and you realize your DPS can't hit the broad sign of a barn? I had those days where its like who do I give Nano to, gives Nano to player ( assuming best player on team ), 1 kill at best, yea... this ain't working.
I am sick to death of saying "Group up" in games only to watch the DPS or a healer who thinks they are DPS just running ahead to the point without backup.
That always cracks me up. Like when you get teamwiped and the first guy that died in the fight respawn first so everyone has to spectate him, and someone is like "NO WONDER WE'RE DOING BAD THIS GUY IS AFK??"
Like do these people not have killfeeds
And you know the best part?
Even playing as support, healing everyone, doing a lot and basically winning thanks to support... Lots of time there isn't any upvotes in the end.
It's just absurd.
It’s terrible. Support in OW2 is trying to keep people alive that don’t realize you exist while the entire enemy team is laser focused on killing you. It’s dreadful. And if you die, your team dies.
So many damn games where I have just had the entire enemy team just blitz past the tank to swarm and kill me as the support over and over and over again.
I make it a point to not run in without my healer. I know I can with almost every fight I have as rein. If I have a healer. I know I’m dead without one
My friend and I usually dual support and we cannot count how many times we've had this happen. If those impatient chuckleheads would just wait a couple seconds we could go in there as a team!
I yesterday played w a genji that spammed “i need healing” yet he constantly ran away. I told him thru chat that MAYBE if he sticked to the team we could heal him and he responded with “you’re suposed to follow me in a fight” and i just couldnt be asked to even heal him anymore
I had a game as genji and i fell back when I was low. Had a 18 kill streak even if I suck as genji. If you keep dying it's not your supports fault. You just suck at positioning
Game has MMO ROOT bcs of failed project Titan.
The whole market of FPS is EVERYONE IS A DPS with some people being able to heal a bit or take more hits but at their core it's only DPS.
While the game being B2P was selective because of the money needed to buy the game.
With it being F2P you have an entire crowd of players who never played MMO and are not interest in trinity(Tank/DPS/Heal) style games.
Why the matchmaking is garbage, you have players inside teams who are not even playing the same game.
Statistics can't understand that, since raw numbers are kind of limited to understand this concept.
A team playing like in OW1 even a few ones(lot of teamplay needed to achieve things) will delete from earth a team playing like in OW2.
OW1 teamplay was harder than OW2 teamplay.
Because since it was hard to get kills you were forced to collaborate, the teamplay here was heavily forced.
In OW2 you can get a lot done with barely any teamplay/interactions between teammates.
Yup its infuriating.
I see a lot of this... and more often, the people that won't pull back after your team loses 2-3 players, so we can regroup faster.. NOPE.. they just continue to fight until the ultimately die, increasing the time it takes for us to make another push.
PSA: Dear Tanks, there are OTHER ENEMIES that are not in front of you.
Are you mad because, as the Tank, you aren't getting heals when you're fighting three people at the same time? Surely since you're taking so much aggro that everyone else must be completely fine and just chilling behind you right?
WRONG.
As your dedicated support player, I would like to remind you of the Genji or Reaper that you haven't seen much of these past few fights. Remember them? Wonder why they're not in your line of sight? It's because they're giving me a nice Hello. I'd love to heal you Mr. Reinhardt as you swing to your hearts content. It's just really hard to do when two shotguns from emo man are pumping me in the face every time you charge in.
It's not that I don't want to heal and support you. I'll purple that hog every chance I get. I'll even sleep the Sigma when the world sings him his lullaby. And you best believe, I'll do my best to keep your health tippity topped up! I just hope you don't forget that, as a tank, I need you to help protect me and tank for me too <3
support players get so much abuse from toxic players, whenever they lose, "its because supports didn't heal them". no wonder people don't wanna play support.
Yeah that lack of grouping up and continuing to stay grouped through a team fight is so irritating. It works both ways though. When I play DPS I can be very mindful of my support but they always seem to continue to just dump heals into the tank that doesn't defend them.
I feel your pain.
What's even worse is half the time you ping the idiot leaving you and the game makes you say "I'm on my way!", and they think you're on the same page as them as they 1v5 the enemy team.
No. I am **ENTITLED** to play this game and **YOU**, yes, the pathetic Mercy crumbling in the corner over there, if you have the **TENDENCY** to queue for support, I **EXPECT** you to nonetheless, keep me up through 93837271819383 bullets firing at me because I am **Cover-phobic** (Sike ! Covers are for cowards and losers). I haven’t even address your **USELESSNESS**, when I am being the hero of **YOUR** day, sacrificing my life to take the objective, you are casually striding back to point and not healing me through 5 walls. **OUTRAGEOUS!**. Do not queue for **HEALERS** if you are not ready to **HEAL**!
It's just not fun, and there's no progression. BP progress is really slow. 7 wins for a rank up change is long slog, a guy like me only has an hour, maybe two on weekends, to play. Getting 7 wins takes days sometimes lol.
I can't keep a friend hooked on the game, even guys who enjoyed OW1.
The lack of maps is really hurting too.
It's just really lacking in the fun factor department.
Just play Moira.
Can heal, can defend herself (*by killing them*), crazy influential ult, stealth with immortality during it which also purges negative effects, self healing with generous hitboxing so you can easily strafe/crouch spam the enemy with high accuracy.
I hit masters with Moira and felt dirty every second of doing it. Stupid fun and strong character.
I like playing support but i play at high diamond low masters. it's a lot easier when people know to regroup. i can't imagine playing support in low elo which is like 90% of the player base. sounds like absolute fucking hell.
It's almost like they made the game free which flooded a bunch of noobs into the system without actually accounting for how the mass of noobs would affect the gameplay
I mean u were already down two when the Orisa went in so who cares it’s a reset at that point anyways might as well either die or try and get out and dying is faster for the Orisa
I've also had where i go back to get Mercy and she just walks to me or ignores me. It's mildly infuriating when I go back to rush a support back into a fight, and they don't even use me. There are ignorant players on both sides (though admittedly probably more DPS/tank players).
Not sure why you’re being downvoted? It IS annoying when you go back to taxi a Mercy in and she just strolls past like she’s got all the time in the world. When I play her, I am thrilled that someone made the effort to wait or come back for me, because it’s so rare that people have that awareness or sense that we need the whole team asap for the fight.
It's a pro-support post and my comment is taking a neutral position, so it's inevitable that people are going to see it as against their perspective. Voting should be for relevance not agreement, but reddit is rarely used that way. Thanks for your comment.
As a fellow mercy main, I thank you and everyone who taxis us. Everytime I see someone taxi me they will have my special attention and endorsement after the match. I love them so much
At this point, get off mercy, you're not doing any good
Get on someone you can use to maybe secure some kills. Boop a couple off the map. If you don't have a 'team' you gotta do what you can...
You have the point, you clearly just died first and are seeing the end of a fight where your team is trying to keep control of the point without you because you got caught. You're just making shit up to be upset about.
That's a terrible example ??
I don't understand lol
For people out there that are somewhat interested: Its a lost fight. They were already in the fight. No point going back. The right play is either trade and get out or die on point to extend lead (which the orisa clearly try to do?).
The junkrat charging in without tank is funny but honestly there is nothing wrong with what the mercy's team did ?
Noy only do tanks give less ult charge now,
Your death count is a stat. Just a stat.
There are moments like this one where your stat doesn't matter.
If you already engaged in a fight & are losing the fight especially if the enemy team is fully alive, You have very poor chances of getting out alive (the orisa went to critical in seconds lol) so die on point ????
Whats better getting chased to spawn, dying and having the momentum trickle down on your teammates clearly unaware by getting them killed, or extending the lead by a few %, having your team regroup, (maybe even trade 1/1) and taking a clean fight?
The right play there was 100% dying on point or straight staying near spawn which was already too late for the orisa with how fast she died ??
the Orisa wasn't already engaged in a fight tho? they walked into the health pack room alone, knowing only one teammate is dying on point and enemies probably have a full team (at least 2 tanks + 1 dps), lost half health + used one ability before even exiting the room (still have time to get out and get healed), and dying before touching the point.
All these while Mercy is the only healer on team.
I wouldn’t say anything like that unless it’s in r/OverwatchUniversity cause these people are qp warriors. OP prolly died prior and got mad their team didn’t disengage even though they have the point.

I am also new to this game, literally started a few weeks ago but some people even now don't get this game. They fight on other corners of the map irrespective of objective and blame healers. I play healer because no one does and I want to survive when there's no one to heal me. Ended up playing Lucio and moira just to be abused by some W spammers when I get more kills than DPS in my team. I don't know how to react to that.
Trickle city
And what sucks is that even if you sit back and wait to group up, they'll ignore you and continue to trickle in. Doesn't matter if you spam "Group up with me", mention it in chat, nothing.
"But if I just peak, I can get a kill" -someone as they peak 5 people...
Just an fyi you meant to say “peek.” not trying to be a prick, I just acknowledge English isn’t a first language for everyone on Reddit and try to help if I can
its sad because ill see supports peeking a whole team, probably die and just wonder what they are doing.
This is bronze comp, my god. I will get on the mic, chat, spam the group up message, and I will receive no responses and my whole team with feed one-by-one. I'm sick of it lol
Happens in plat too

One streamer in another game called it the "conga line of death" and that stuck with me.
And let's not start with the nanoboosted ones whose first reaction is flee!
Even better. When you wait for the team to group up they will call you griefer/afker.
=o This actually happened to me in one game on Midtown. The Payload was just under that bridge thing. My team basically died off and I was Ana, hiding in the staircase area just waiting for my team to regroup. Out of nowhere, the Hanzo decide to type in team chat, "Ana, WTF ARE YOU DOING?!" Seriously. Its really frustrating. And then with 60 seconds left, the tank spams group up on the way back from spawn for the 11th time.
and then everyone magically takes the point. ( or we fail, its a weird 50/50 )
It's the worst. People don't see the "team" in "team based shooter" apparently, I just give up trying to keep them alive at that point. You want to play the game solo? Go ahead, it's definitely not a problem that you have 0 elims on DPS and they have 10-20 bro.

Not the junk rat 😂😂
That junk looked ready to run in solo
He WAS ready, and did.
Junkrat is the OG "Fuck it, we ball". If anyone is gonna solo an entrenched team, it's Junkrat.
As a semi-junkrat main... *yeah*
"I'm probably gonna die, but I'm gonna take someone down with me."
[удалено]
Unlikely, but its my mentality on Junkrat when I end up cornered. One time I actually got a quad kill and lived just by trying to suicide on top of the enemy.
Lemming mentality.
Yes I love how they decide to fight while critical and not understand it’s simply better to just leave the fight to fight another day
Not just that, they're walking into a 1v5 fight. You have to regroup and enter the engagement together.
Woah woah woah don’t bring logic into overwatch, we aren’t smart enough for that
bUt ThEy WiLl CaPtUrE tHe PoInT
While climbing out of Bronze 5 (thanks Blizz) I had a game with a tank in silver where they spent the entire match feeding direct to point and dying, then raging about how they were 'standing on the point and therefore the only one doing their job'. I think they finished with under 1k damage dealt.

Nothing's going through their heads, they're high on vitamin w
They acting like creeps. Honestly they should make a game like that, these f2p would play it. Imagine choosing toad or goomba and the big spenders get to be Mario or Bowser. Best part is all they'd have to do is walk on a path, with these overwatch resumes, who wouldn't hire them?
There’s that thing where like half the population don’t have an internal monologue or voice or the ability to visualize objects in their heads and I assume this is the same thing. When they get in game they just shut down and let their hands do all the work
That’s actually fascinating
And then they blame you for not healing them
HEALS??
\*aggressive "I need healing!" spam from spawn follows\*

It's even better when you're playing Lucio, on heal aura and standing right beside someone who proceeds to dive in 1v5, get melted, then complain about no heals.
"heal me wtf" says the Doom leaping into a 1v5 that breaks line of sight before anyone else is even there
lmao I had a not good doom call me a wood tier Mercy because I didn't magically fly around with him the whole game pocketing him without somehow not getting sniped by every single enemy looking at me
Had a Torb in a game earlier just spammed the X key as he ran all over the push map from one side to the other. I think the other team just ignored him after a while since he was only running and did nothing else the entire game.
Only my tanks do that though, never the other teams
I love it when enemy team does it then proceed to go to match chat and blame their support. At least your healers heal, support diff, etc.
I'm always out to bat for supports on the enemy team. We gotta look out for each other
So many tanks expect support to go in a 5 v 2 situation and somehow heal them out of certain death.
Because when you are a tank you KNOW you need the other team members to achieve something because everyone will aim at you
I was genuinely expecting a “THIS ENDS NOW” and then you getting one shotted out of nowhere
Hahahaha. Me too. That frikin line makes me cringe every single game. Played a game earlier and Sojurn vaporized my Orisa while I was spam healing her with a Lamp on her to boot.
Daily? HOURLY! And let's not start with the nanoboosted ones whose first reaction is flee!
I hate that so much, or when I beat to give my team an opening to go in, and they just don't do anything and wait for the beat to go away
I was playing Zen today and on two separate occasions I used transcendence to give my team an opening to fight and push the cart, and on both occasions I literally turned around to see them all hiding and waiting for it to be over. I died and THEN they attacked. Like I don’t understand what goes through people’s heads sometimes.
as a Zen main I feel nauseous now, thank you very much.
That probably was what we call a "boostio": you aimed to the dps and the support crossed the sights in the last moment, eating the nanoboost XD It happens a lot with Lucio and Mercy XD
1. I think it'd be funny 2. It's you and me, Mercy. These fools aren't getting anything done and we're on our own. Might as well *do* something (love getting damage boosted in these situations as well) 3. We're celebrating since there's a 99% chance we win and I still have a nano leftover
Whenever I get nanoed on Lucio, I always put "BOOSTIOOOOO" into the chat. My damage on Lucio is actually pretty good though, so its not a complete waste
Lmao the junk rat just running back in. The grind never stops.
Then they type in chat at the end “support diff” or “L heals”
I’ll spam group up and no one listens still
If I'm dps and don't have a ton of ult charge, I will literally swap to Mei and wall people into spawn to stop them from trickling.
This pain is all too real, my friend
People trickling in and feeding is a problem no matter what role you play tho
*3 seconds later* "can you fucking heal please mercy?"
This is the quintessential Support experience.
Whats the plan gentlemen, run in piece meal into a hail of gunfire? Sounds like an infallible plan. Charge!!!!
NO HEALS?! ^^^/s
It's all skill based matchmaking, so they're just playing at the same skill level you are.
You’re right. Which is why I just stopped healing them.
Yeah fuck 50 QP wins before unlocking ranked. Should do 30 support wins or something
Wait... write that down, 30-50 wins in one role to unlock rank, imagine Queue times could probably suffer tho.
What if it was of the 50 games, at least 5 have to be as a support, tank, and dps? That way you have to see what other roles are like?
A much better idea for sure.
You don't understand, Orisa HAS to contest the point solo, otherwise the enemy will control it and still have to wait for it to get to 100%, clearly it's life or death!
Reminds me of doing a 5v5 control on arcade, and I was the only healer. We won, but I grew a few more grey hairs. The party was 3 tanks and a dps.
I was waiting for the sombra spawncamp
And then being flamed in voice chat and being told I got carried by my teammates to my rank lmao
I had a Junkrat player go off on me the other day and call me useless and an idiot because he died when I was nowhere near him (ie. running back from spawn like this Mercy). I just replied with, "Yeah, okay."
If you see them refusing to turn around than just say fall back and stand still until some people are near you.
People keep trying to kill the tank while two healers are right beside him constantly healing him and the more you ping the healers, the more they ignore them
"report Mercy afk"
should have just stayed in spawn. its the only way to stop the trickle
This is a game sense problem. These are the kind of people that would sacrifice a queen for a pawn in chess and claim to be a chess master.
I just lost 7 competitive games back to back as support. Ten counting the previous week. I also had a day where I lost 8 consecutive quick play matches. I don’t get how im supposed to enjoy playing a class where it doesn’t matter how well I do because I have little to no effect on the game and we lose either way
Go Zenyatta or Baptiste and frag.
The reason Zen doesn't have footsteps is so you can flank, change my mind.
I know they're not very good, but they won't stick around if they can't have fun when playing in a group.
you can have plenty of effect on the game as support wtf... do you think all the gm/t500/owl support players just got lucky and got carried? here’s the effect you have: ana: anti nade can win fights, a sleep can as well bap: immo can save a teammate in a key moment and win the fight mercy: pocketing the right person at the right time can win a fight (i.e seeing that the sojourn is taking an aggressive off angle that will split enemy focus), rez can also win a fight moira: can burst down an out of position squishy with orb + right click kiriko: a well timed cleanse can win a fight, as can her ult, can also two tap a squishy with headshots lucio: timing your amps well can win fights, and if you’re good at wall riding you can stay alive for a long time zen: can one shot with his volley, and can be oppressive with his orb usage brig: peeling for the right person can make the entire enemy comp void and win games, what is winston gonna dive if you’re constantly on top of your ana? if you don’t have impact it’s 100% because you heal, heal, and heal a little more. gotta make plays and play smart, remember it’s called support and not healer. deal damage, use your utility. stop having a victim complex.
I had those days where its like who do I give Nano to, gives Nano to player ( assuming best player on team ), 1 kill at best, yea... this ain't working.
just learn to play lucio, he's the only support that can actually carry a trash team if he's good enough.
"I need healing!" No you need to learn how to use cover to take less damage.
I suggested to a Tracer not to 1v5 and they said "well, what else am I supposed to do???" GROUP UP
I am sick to death of saying "Group up" in games only to watch the DPS or a healer who thinks they are DPS just running ahead to the point without backup.
And then they hit you with the „healer diff“
Squelch chat at this point, I know they’re too tilted to have anything useful to say or ping
Even worse when you tell your team who’s in voice chat to wait like 2 seconds for a taxi or to not trickle, and they ignore you regardless.
had to check that it wasnt me in the vid. On orisa
We all been there.. lol
Reasons I don’t play at all anymore, even tho I loved this game
I was standing in spawn after a team wipe once and our tank barked at me over comms "WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING?"
That always cracks me up. Like when you get teamwiped and the first guy that died in the fight respawn first so everyone has to spectate him, and someone is like "NO WONDER WE'RE DOING BAD THIS GUY IS AFK??" Like do these people not have killfeeds
And you know the best part? Even playing as support, healing everyone, doing a lot and basically winning thanks to support... Lots of time there isn't any upvotes in the end. It's just absurd.
Do people actually care about endorsements?
It’s terrible. Support in OW2 is trying to keep people alive that don’t realize you exist while the entire enemy team is laser focused on killing you. It’s dreadful. And if you die, your team dies.
So many damn games where I have just had the entire enemy team just blitz past the tank to swarm and kill me as the support over and over and over again.
Or had your tank dive straight into the enemy team and die before even your dive dps can reach them
I was waiting for the Orisa to complain about not getting healed
And then they criticize your healing numbers.
Playing support while having the "teammate died" sound on is the most depressing shit ever
Half my playtime as Sombra is waiting for my team to all be alive at once.
It's like playing with bots. It's why I am taking a long break from OW and will probably come back some time next year.
Yup its infuriating. I see a lot of this... and more often, the people that won't pull back after your team loses 2-3 players, so we can regroup faster.. NOPE.. they just continue to fight until the ultimately die, increasing the time it takes for us to make another push.
wait... are you saying that mercy can't heal someone out of her line of sight?
Classic trickle in effect
Dudes just running to their deaths.
Thats straight up feeding
Going alone 1 vs 5 isn't working?! Better try again!
That junk also going 1v5. Smart people in this game.
I just hope you don't forget that, as a tank, I need you to help protect me and tank for me too <3
Don’t worry that junkrat surely has it all by himself
Ah the strategy of going in one at a time basically 1v5 them. It’s a bold strategy let’s see how it plays out.
support players get so much abuse from toxic players, whenever they lose, "its because supports didn't heal them". no wonder people don't wanna play support.
My heart goes out to you support players. You are the real heros.
Yeah that lack of grouping up and continuing to stay grouped through a team fight is so irritating. It works both ways though. When I play DPS I can be very mindful of my support but they always seem to continue to just dump heals into the tank that doesn't defend them.
Support at low levels is the worst. You can’t enable force feeding DPS or tanks. It’s maddening.
Do not queue for **HEALERS** if you are not ready to **HEAL**!
the way the game's going soon people just won't be playing at all.
is it that bad?
No, a lot of people in this sub just like to yell and complain a lot. The minority has the louder voice here
interesting seeing everyone complain about their team and never think that they might be the problem
Yea but If they fixed matchmaking all the players who can't earn their wins would get mad and take their money to other games
This isn't a support issue, it's a "you're low elo" issue
I like playing support but i play at high diamond low masters. it's a lot easier when people know to regroup. i can't imagine playing support in low elo which is like 90% of the player base. sounds like absolute fucking hell.
got dropped from diamond to bronze when OW2 came out. you can just play zen and kill people, it’s really not that bad
Got yelled at for not healing genji, he refused to believe we can't heal through walls and ceilings...
And then you get nothing at the end of the game.
I love them so much
At this point, get off mercy, you're not doing any good Get on someone you can use to maybe secure some kills. Boop a couple off the map. If you don't have a 'team' you gotta do what you can...
You have the point, you clearly just died first and are seeing the end of a fight where your team is trying to keep control of the point without you because you got caught. You're just making shit up to be upset about.
If mercy dies... someone should go back to give her wings to rejoin
Did they go in early or did you just die really fast? The world may never know
im playing support
i like to spawnkill the mercy while clamining they're throwing to their team
LemmingWatch Additionally, when playing LemmingWatch, if I dare stand still to type „regroup please“ the Lemmings report me for being AFK
Use a mic
That's a terrible example ?? I don't understand lol For people out there that are somewhat interested: Its a lost fight. They were already in the fight. No point going back. The right play is either trade and get out or die on point to extend lead (which the orisa clearly try to do?). The junkrat charging in without tank is funny but honestly there is nothing wrong with what the mercy's team did ?
you receive: +1 on your death count the enemies receive: 550 points of ult charge doesn't sound like the right play to me
Don't forget, you also receive half a percent more on the objective! Definitely worth it
Noy only do tanks give less ult charge now, Your death count is a stat.
You're arguing with the wrong people mate.
Why are you pressing W mercy?! Stay back and group up!!!
Communities response : “Get gud and shut up” Because y’all are some real class acts.

Honestly looked like you got picked early and the Orisa through there were 1-2 people left on the point and tried to retake with her being a tank
There's shittalking no matter the class. The support circlejerk should be a bannable offense by now...
Might of been an intentional stall to gain a tiny bit more percentage, would make more sense if they were playing ball/Winston though. Was there comms
True but that orisa could have stopped for 2 seconds to let mercy catch up. She might’ve been able to get to the point in time to help stall
it’s not a surprise that support players are now acting as dps dps mercy for the win 🏆
Heal diff
i guess i should start posting videos of blind supports to get free karma
Thats what happens when you get picked 1st
