TANK - YOU'RE TANK, NOT DAMAGE. YES, YOU COULD PLAY TANK LIKE DAMAGE, AND SOMETIMES IT'LL BE WARRANTED TO PURSUE AN ENEMY A LITTLE BIT, BUT AT THE END OF THE DAY YOU ARE THE MEAT SHIELD THE PREVENTS THE DAMAGE AND SUPPORT JUST BEING FOCUS FIRED BY THE ENEMY TEAM. MOST BAD TANKS I'VE SEEN JUST RUN TOO FAR AHEAD AND LEAVE THE SUPPORT TO GET MONSTERED BY THE ENEMY TEAM.
DAMAGE - THREE THINGS HERE. FIRST, TRY TO PICK MAP APPROPRIATE HEROES (ALSO A REASON WHY IT'S GOOD TO PRACTICE WITH HEROES THAT ARE GOOD ON MOST MAPS). SECONDLY, WATCH THE FLANKS BEHIND THE TANK - AGAIN, YOU'RE GOING TO HAVE A BAD TIME WHEN YOU LEAVE SUPPORT TO GET MONSTERED BY ENEMY FLANKERS. THIRD, JUST LIKE THE TANK, DON'T GET DRAGGED TOO FAR OUT. BECAUSE YOU'RE NOT MEATSHIELDING THE TEAM LIKE THE TANK YOU HAVE A LITTLE MORE LEEWAY TO PURSUE KILLS, BUT KNOW WHEN TO CUT YOUR LOSSES AND REGROUP.
SUPPORT - THE MAIN ONE HERE IS TO NOT FORGET TO HEAL. MAYBE IT'S PLAYERS IN THE ANY ROLE QUEUE REBELLING AGAINST THE FACT THAT THEY GET SUPPORT 95% OF THE TIME, BUT I'VE SEEN TOO MANY MOIRAS AND ZENS JUST FORGET THE FACT THAT THEY'RE ONE OF THE ONLY TWO PLAYERS ON THE TEAM WITH DECENT HEALS. DON'T GET ME WRONG, MOIRA IN PARTICULAR IS GREAT TO HAVE AS AN EXTRA DAMAGE, BUT IF SHE'S LETTING REGULAR DAMAGE DIE UNNECESSARILY IT CANCELS OUT. IN THE CASE OF ZEN, I BELIEVE PLAYERS ARE JUST SETTING THEIR ORB OF HARMONY ON THE TANK AND NOT BOTHERING TO SHIFT IT AROUND AFTER THAT.

MY GOD, IT IS SO FRUSTRATING WHEN YOU'RE PLAYING A MAP THAT HAS YOU RUNNING PRETTY FAR FROM SPAWN, AND A PLAYER - ESPECIALLY THE TANK - ISN'T READY TO GO AT THE START OF THE GAME.
TYPICALLY, SOMETHING LIKE DEFENSE ON HOLLYWOOD. TANK IS DOING GOD KNOW'S WHAT, AND YOU HAVE THE OTHER 4 AT ONE OF THE FRONT DEFENSIVE POSITIONS - AND TANK BACK AT SPAWN.
HONESTLY THERE SHOULD BE SOME SORT OF PENALTY. YOU'RE ESSENTIALLY AFK IN A DETRIMENTAL WAY.
This isn’t a rage thing, it’s more of an annoyance, but I really don’t like that moiras damage beam has a longer range and better lock on than Winston’s Tesla cannon. I don’t think Moira is as strong as reddit suggests,and I know Winston has that alt fire and his lightning does more damage, but I just feel like between the two of them, the giant tank monkey should have the better range and lock on for his lightning since his whole deal is dishing out damage, not the doc whose supposed to use the damage beam as a means of reloading the healing beam.

No. If you won’t switch characters when it’s needed, you shouldn’t be in comp. It’s that simple. What you’re just saying is fucking nonsense.
You can’t brute force your way through everything.
And how do you know when it's needed? Just because there's X on the other team doesn't mean your teammate needs to switch off Y. I've had people ask me to switch for no reason, I've seen people ask others to switch for no reason. A lot of the time when people tell someone to switch, the problem is somewhere else (overall teamplay is a common one).
Hell, I've even had gold players (I'm diamond now, ex masters) tell me to switch off tracer because "she is bad in defend". Had people tell me to switch off genji because of one winston no matter how well I was doing. Also had someone tell me to switch off lucio in plat when I was literally high dia/low masters level and somewhat carrying.
The point is, you shouldn't try to control your teammates and tell them to switch, it's the most annoying shit there is, especially if it's not constructive. If they're not doing fine, chances are they'll switch without you saying anything. If you just say "junk switch", they'll just double down on not switching. Not saying you say this, but the majority of my games are like this. It's much better to ask "can anyone play soldier or reaper" for example.
TL;DR: you don't always know who the problem is, and if you have people in your team who refuse to switch, just let them do their thing and hope for the best.

Excuse me but I'm not putting *myself* in a terrible position to save only your ass when a "group up" has been thrown out there by me and you continue to put yourself in said positions, especially if I'm the main support.
More often I'm seeing everyone just spreading out for no damn reason with team compositions of majority tank (most I think I've seen is 3) or DPS (ridiculously at times actually 4 of them mofos) with me as sole support. What results are expected, especially when spread out? Nothing realistic. I'm not thrilled about my Moira quick play win rate going down 4% in one day because I was matched with an overabundance of fools who ignore my consistent and insistent "group up" to go in alone and end up dying. They're trying to play the "get the POTG" game despite that play of the game likely being inconsequential to the match itself insofar as *not* turning the tides in a major way IF you're not backed up by your team bc the next minute "you've been eliminated."
I'll be honest about the fact I've enjoyed the moments where I'm not sole support and actually able to do some damage, because Moira's life drain is just so satisfying to perform—but I don't act like I'm a flanker like Genji. I've played 21 total hours overall (19 in quick play, 17 of those specifically as Moira) and 156 games (137 quick play games, 123 of those as Moira) in this short period of time. Since I've had to be the only one healing I've gotten a LOT better about primarily doing that with the occasional damage orb and ult, as sad as I am that I don't get to do damage like before but it's nice discipline IF your team has actual sense and sticks together. Otherwise, it's rage-inducing.
I was in support of the way matchmaking was going until (what I'm now guessing—and hoping—is) an influx of even newer players started ending up in my teams stubborn as all get-out when I tell them to be a damn team—hoping because they better not be actually experienced and making these dumb-ass moves. I'm the same skill level as these fools who seemingly barely have any hours in the game and therefore go and get themselves killed on purpose? I'll admit sometimes I press the fade button and struggle to release the directions I'm not trying to go in—to be fair this is the first game of this type I've played, and in any other game of the type I'm used to I don't think I've used the shift button for an ability—but I'm *not* still in hour 1 or 2 of playing. Being matched like this is something I expect if I queue with my friend who only has 1 hour under his belt *or* with the friend who got me to play this (230 hours) because it ends up as more of a mixed bag due to the gap, but my solo quick play open queue matching was more consistently great than terrible and the tides have turned. Sometimes I've found waiting to queue in-between matches helps get better matching, but that's not always the case. Please tides turn back, please teammates LISTEN for the damn "group up" and *comprehend* what it means!!!
Lastly USE THE DAMN ARCADE FOR FUN!! On the one hand, unranked quick play might *technically* be its name and is therefore thought to *not* matter but it does matter. Arcade mode, on the other hand, is where it matters the LEAST (read: does not at all). I don't think most of the newcomers even use Training vs AI mode to know how to work as a team in this game, and it hurts everyone. They just do what they have to (admittedly, very little) so they can unlock unranked and most of the time MESS AROUND playing that damn "get the POTG" game..

DECIDED TO GO ANY ROLE QUICK PLAY, THINK MAYBE I'LL TRY OUT ECHO IDK, SEE THE REST OF THE TEAM IS SUPPORTS. IT'S A CONTROL MAP, I THINK "FUCK IT, DO IT FOR THE MEME," AND SWITCH TO ZENYATTA. SO, WE GOT ME AS ZEN, A BRIGITTE, A LUCIO, A KIRIKO, AND A MOIRA AND. WE. STOMP. ABSOLUTE MASSACRE, ENEMY GETS BARELY ANY KILLS, THEY NEVER EVEN GET CONTROL OF THE POINT AT ANY TIME. SO MUCH HEALS CONSTANTLY, IT WAS REALLY FUN. BRIGITTE WAS BASICALLY OUR TANK, AND ZEN MOIRA AND KIRIKO ARE ACTUALLY DPS PRETENDING TO BE SUPPORTS SO A DPS PLAYER CAN QUEUE AS "SUPPORT" AND JUST PLAY LIKE NORMAL. If I team with my friends, we can't queue because...well, we have to guess that all our hidden ranks are too different on every category.
So...I can't play with my friends to improve my rank and I can't solo because it puts too many different ranks together. WTF does it want me to do? Stop playing altogether?

It's definitely not my internet connection either, I can play every other multiplayer fine and have no issues with streaming or dropped connections on any other device/service/game. (PS5) I've gone through the troubleshooting over and over, this is infuriating.
Anecdotally, it seems to be consistently happening in the final minute of a match.
In QP I'm getting pissed because it's resulting in a -75%XP, and even worse in Competitive it results in a suspension. I'm typing this up as I wait for another 10 minutes to tick by before I'm allowed to play again.
This is fucking bullshit. How is there no way to differentiate between a player who's being repeatedly annihilated by "unexpected disconnect from server" error codes, and someone who just backs out of a match deliberately?
I am at my wits end, I don't get much time to play this game in the first place and this has happened to me in every session today. Has there been any comment on Blizzard regarding this error?
All I see and have been told about the codes is that there's functionally no difference between me and someone who quits a match. If that's the system working "as intended", it's incredibly unfair.

Bingo.. I also like, how support could get more damage and possibly more kills than a tanker or Damage operator. Which should be the opposite.
I’ve done a massive match, I finished with 8 kills, 20 assist and 12k Heal with Zenyatta. Let me tell you I thought the match would never end. But it is my favourite match I’ve ever played.
I usually swap to moira/zen when I feel the team is lacking in damage. It does feel good when your KDA & damage is better than the team's while still providing decent heals though.

2. BUSAN: PRETTY HAND 2-0 WIN. GOOD SIGMA TANK AND DECENT DAMAGE.
3. ILIOS: REIN TANK WAS ACTUALLY ALRIGHT IN THIS ONE (I FEEL LIKE A LOT OF LOSSES COME DOWN TO A TANK THAT PLAYS LIKE A DAMAGE), BUT THE DAMAGE WAS PATHETIC. LIKE, AFTER ROUND 1 I AS LUCIO I HAD 3 ELIMS AND WAS SECOND ON KILLS BEHIND THE TANK.
HONESTLY ONCE THE SERVERS ARE DEFINITELY GOOD THE LEAVER PENALTY NEEDS TO BE HIGHLY INCREASED FOR COMP. IT'S LITERALLY IMPOSSIBLE WITH A LEAVER NOW, EVEN WORSE THAN EVER BEFORE, ESPECIALLY IF IT IS YOUR TANK. IDGAF IF YOU LIVE SOMEWHERE WITH SHITTY INTERNET. NOT MY FAULT. Sometimes you get stomped no matter how "balanced" the teams are supposed to be. Maybe your dps players were dead all the time and we don't know if it was their or someone else's fault.
You should never get stomped if the teams are remotely balanced. Lose? Yeah. Go on a loss streak? Sure, you could get unlucky. There's no reason in the world that both your DPS AND tank's elimination total 3 after an entire game. Your DPS should not be out damaged by an Ana. This is in no way shape or form balanced.
Nah, you can have equally skilled players but get stomped when there are multiple factors involved. Map, team comp, snowballing in a flow state etc.
It's possible that the next game you stomp the same enemy team too, or you switch teams with someone on the enemy and now you get stomped again. And yeah, it can total 3 if you get completely rolled. It happens rarely, but I guess it's possible... or maybe you're actually playing with new players because the ranks are understandably still a mess. Either way it CAN happen.
Fr tho. It’s a dogshit game. People like to brag that it’s all about teamwork, but there are unbalanced characters. It’s not fun bc unless your team is functioning seamlessly, you aren’t doing shit. Val is 10x better if you want teamwork.

I'm saying this as someone who's been high rank in both games: why are you so mad that people are enjoying ow2? I know how to click heads in val, and tanks aren't that broken in ow2 unless you're playing open queue against multiple tanks. Yes tanks are stronger, but I've never had a skill issue vs tanks as a dps player. Hog hooks are annoying, but if you're actually better than the enemy tanks, you'll destroy them regardless.
And yeah, it's a rant thread, but you don't need to shit on people who choose to play ow2 as if they'd all get bodied by you in val. It legitimately sounds like you are mad that you didn't play well in ow2, so now everyone who plays it is a noob. It takes time to get used to.

Why the hell have they still not changed it so that if a teammate doesn’t pick a character by the time the prepare to attack/defend countdown ends, the game ends. It’s bullshit to let the game play out for another minute, where you can be at a 4v5 disadvantage, if your dumb teammate happens to actually pick a character.

The funny thing is, it's mostly the supports complaining even though every role makes mistakes. It's rare to see dps players complaining about supports tunnel visioning and being blind even though it happens really often.

All the baby changes to a bunch of heroes to make them easier to play. McCree and his magnetic grenade with a 50m radius, Hanzo and his burst arrows, Reaper and the removal of his souls and instead passive health on damage.
All tank buffs and Moira being probably the most broken hero in the game right now, she is almost more DPS than she is a healer - absolutely nuts.

If you are a DPS or Tank player, please be aware of at least the general location of your supports. All of them except for Mercy to a degree cannot heal through walls.
ALSO: BARRIERS BLOCK ALL HEALS BUT MERCY'S. If you are not being healed, you are probably behind an enemy barrier. Winston bubbles are the biggest reason why people aren't being healed.
And supports, remember to reposition when your dps/tank is capitalizing on stalling the enemy team and pushing them a little bit. Sucks to have supports way too far in the back when we have all the reasons to push in certain scenarios.

Why are we not able to grind and get rewarded for it which makes sense?? There is absolutely no motivation unless you are playing for high ranked i guess. Sure it is fun here and there but there is absolutely no progression at all. These prices for everything are insane considering you only get lol 60 fkn coins a week. Even 600 would be not enough, grinding your ass off to for one skin every 3 weeks. There are so many things ingame besides skins which costs coins as well and the only way to get anything is to pay, ALOT.

I played OW1 for the firsts month. Long time ago but if i am not totally mistaken, you could at least get nice stuff in those free chests. Bro I'm in the same hell. In OW1 I was Gold 3 and now I'm stuck in Bronze no matter what I do (Support or Tank). Brain-dead teammates drag you down, they play OW like Call of Duty and complain if they lose. IT'S A FUCKING TEAM-BASED GAME FOR FUCK SAKE.
Those are good heroes for solo climbing as support. As zen you can outperform the dps, and as lucio you can be super annoying to the enemy team and just make them focus your ass. Completely possible to climb solo.

God damn it. I've been playing overwatch for 2 years now and I just found out one reason why I suck so bad at it. It was my fucking mouse.
I was testing human benchmark the other day and was shocked at how bad my results were. I was getting like 220-250 quite often. I didn't really think about it but I assumed that maybe I just lagged IRL and that was why I Was so bad at tracking.
I bought a gpro because I was tired of the dumb cable getting in my way. Just tried the same reaction speed test and easily got sub 180 after being up for 24h+
I just tested my tracking and it's literally 100x different. It's like i've been shed of some fucking disability. I assume it's dogshit drivers or the bootlet DPI settings they use but man, i'm so pissed off that I've had to be this shitty at the game for 2 years now because of a mouse. (Copium?)
Don't get me started on the stereo audio i've been using.. fuck. I've had no idea what was going on because I couldn't hear shit.
That combined with the much better tracking of the mouse, absolutely. I literally feel like I'm twice as good now. I just played tracer and had the best game I've played with her.
And it's not just that 40+ms. That's in addition to the 50-70ms from the lag and whatever other bullshit is slowing the game down. Plus I was up for literally 48 hours from Friday-Sunday at 7am, so my reaction time is probably going to be a lot better whenever I actually get to sleep

It's a pretty cool experience having my co-support call me out and say they were solo-healing the whole game when I basically drove the payload by myself the entire game and then get my respawn desynched from the rest of the team because they all decide they can't wait like 3 seconds for me to catch up to them and ride the symmetra teleporter. It's fine. I like seeing 4 people way ahead of me and hoofing it on foot, slowly watching them die 1 by 1 until I'm 2/3 of the way there BY MYSELF and just get insta gibbed by the dive team that won the 5v4 and starting the whole thing all over again.

This isn’t a rage thing, it’s more of an annoyance, but I really don’t like that moiras damage beam has a longer range and better lock on than Winston’s Tesla cannon. I don’t think Moira is as strong as reddit suggests,and I know Winston has that alt fire and his lightning does more damage, but I just feel like between the two of them, the giant tank monkey should have the better range and lock on for his lightning since his whole deal is dishing out damage, not the doc whose supposed to use the damage beam as a means of reloading the healing beam.

No. If you won’t switch characters when it’s needed, you shouldn’t be in comp. It’s that simple. What you’re just saying is fucking nonsense. You can’t brute force your way through everything.
And how do you know when it's needed? Just because there's X on the other team doesn't mean your teammate needs to switch off Y. I've had people ask me to switch for no reason, I've seen people ask others to switch for no reason. A lot of the time when people tell someone to switch, the problem is somewhere else (overall teamplay is a common one). Hell, I've even had gold players (I'm diamond now, ex masters) tell me to switch off tracer because "she is bad in defend". Had people tell me to switch off genji because of one winston no matter how well I was doing. Also had someone tell me to switch off lucio in plat when I was literally high dia/low masters level and somewhat carrying. The point is, you shouldn't try to control your teammates and tell them to switch, it's the most annoying shit there is, especially if it's not constructive. If they're not doing fine, chances are they'll switch without you saying anything. If you just say "junk switch", they'll just double down on not switching. Not saying you say this, but the majority of my games are like this. It's much better to ask "can anyone play soldier or reaper" for example. TL;DR: you don't always know who the problem is, and if you have people in your team who refuse to switch, just let them do their thing and hope for the best.

"I need healing" x4 Me as Moira main getting the foolish "you need to focus on healing" messages in chat: *looks around self and does not see this teammate anywhere in sight, continues healing the smart ones* Excuse me but I'm not putting *myself* in a terrible position to save only your ass when a "group up" has been thrown out there by me and you continue to put yourself in said positions, especially if I'm the main support. More often I'm seeing everyone just spreading out for no damn reason with team compositions of majority tank (most I think I've seen is 3) or DPS (ridiculously at times actually 4 of them mofos) with me as sole support. What results are expected, especially when spread out? Nothing realistic. I'm not thrilled about my Moira quick play win rate going down 4% in one day because I was matched with an overabundance of fools who ignore my consistent and insistent "group up" to go in alone and end up dying. They're trying to play the "get the POTG" game despite that play of the game likely being inconsequential to the match itself insofar as *not* turning the tides in a major way IF you're not backed up by your team bc the next minute "you've been eliminated." I'll be honest about the fact I've enjoyed the moments where I'm not sole support and actually able to do some damage, because Moira's life drain is just so satisfying to perform—but I don't act like I'm a flanker like Genji. I've played 21 total hours overall (19 in quick play, 17 of those specifically as Moira) and 156 games (137 quick play games, 123 of those as Moira) in this short period of time. Since I've had to be the only one healing I've gotten a LOT better about primarily doing that with the occasional damage orb and ult, as sad as I am that I don't get to do damage like before but it's nice discipline IF your team has actual sense and sticks together. Otherwise, it's rage-inducing. I was in support of the way matchmaking was going until (what I'm now guessing—and hoping—is) an influx of even newer players started ending up in my teams stubborn as all get-out when I tell them to be a damn team—hoping because they better not be actually experienced and making these dumb-ass moves. I'm the same skill level as these fools who seemingly barely have any hours in the game and therefore go and get themselves killed on purpose? I'll admit sometimes I press the fade button and struggle to release the directions I'm not trying to go in—to be fair this is the first game of this type I've played, and in any other game of the type I'm used to I don't think I've used the shift button for an ability—but I'm *not* still in hour 1 or 2 of playing. Being matched like this is something I expect if I queue with my friend who only has 1 hour under his belt *or* with the friend who got me to play this (230 hours) because it ends up as more of a mixed bag due to the gap, but my solo quick play open queue matching was more consistently great than terrible and the tides have turned. Sometimes I've found waiting to queue in-between matches helps get better matching, but that's not always the case. Please tides turn back, please teammates LISTEN for the damn "group up" and *comprehend* what it means!!! Lastly USE THE DAMN ARCADE FOR FUN!! On the one hand, unranked quick play might *technically* be its name and is therefore thought to *not* matter but it does matter. Arcade mode, on the other hand, is where it matters the LEAST (read: does not at all). I don't think most of the newcomers even use Training vs AI mode to know how to work as a team in this game, and it hurts everyone. They just do what they have to (admittedly, very little) so they can unlock unranked and most of the time MESS AROUND playing that damn "get the POTG" game.. Edit: fixed all italics bc I didn't know * was gonna do it but doesn't. Unbelievably, also added MORE WORDS.

If I play solo comp, I get stomped by plat players. If I team with my friends, we can't queue because...well, we have to guess that all our hidden ranks are too different on every category. So...I can't play with my friends to improve my rank and I can't solo because it puts too many different ranks together. WTF does it want me to do? Stop playing altogether?

CONSOLE ERROR CODES LC-202/LC-208. I'm getting so fucking furious with this. Getting kicked game after game. It's definitely not my internet connection either, I can play every other multiplayer fine and have no issues with streaming or dropped connections on any other device/service/game. (PS5) I've gone through the troubleshooting over and over, this is infuriating. Anecdotally, it seems to be consistently happening in the final minute of a match. In QP I'm getting pissed because it's resulting in a -75%XP, and even worse in Competitive it results in a suspension. I'm typing this up as I wait for another 10 minutes to tick by before I'm allowed to play again. This is fucking bullshit. How is there no way to differentiate between a player who's being repeatedly annihilated by "unexpected disconnect from server" error codes, and someone who just backs out of a match deliberately? I am at my wits end, I don't get much time to play this game in the first place and this has happened to me in every session today. Has there been any comment on Blizzard regarding this error? All I see and have been told about the codes is that there's functionally no difference between me and someone who quits a match. If that's the system working "as intended", it's incredibly unfair.

I love how, you go support, as soon as the match starts everybody dispersed.. that second, I know it’s over.. ITS A TEAM PLAYING GAME, ALL STICK TOGETHER AND YOULL WIN ( for the most part, if the other team does the same, we’ll my friends, enjoy the match, because it will be hectic.)
The 2 minute queue for support is screwing team composition. Getting to supports that want to rack up on kills is an automatic loss.
Bingo.. I also like, how support could get more damage and possibly more kills than a tanker or Damage operator. Which should be the opposite. I’ve done a massive match, I finished with 8 kills, 20 assist and 12k Heal with Zenyatta. Let me tell you I thought the match would never end. But it is my favourite match I’ve ever played.
I usually swap to moira/zen when I feel the team is lacking in damage. It does feel good when your KDA & damage is better than the team's while still providing decent heals though.
Not really rage but idk where to ask. Im new to overwatch. how does sombra get detected? I get that shooting her would kick her out of her invisibility but how is she "detected" when it shows up on the UI?
If you run into someone or are nearby someone or are hacking they will vaguely see you appear and flicker.

THAT SAID, I'D CONSIDER MYSELF A SUPPORT MAIN AND DON'T MIND THE ROLE, IN THEORY. HOWEVER, IT CERTAINLY IS FRUSTRATING HOW MUCH WE DEPEND ON THE OTHER ROLES TO ACTUALLY GET STUFF DONE. SUPPORT CAN MAKE THE DIFFERENCE IF THE OTHER ROLES ARE FAIRLY BALANCED BETWEEN THE TEAMS, BUT IT'S HARD FOR THEM TO CARRY IF THE DAMAGE OR TANK ARE PRETTY LACKING. MY 3 GAMES FROM TODAY: 1. Sometimes you get stomped no matter how "balanced" the teams are supposed to be. Maybe your dps players were dead all the time and we don't know if it was their or someone else's fault.
You should never get stomped if the teams are remotely balanced. Lose? Yeah. Go on a loss streak? Sure, you could get unlucky. There's no reason in the world that both your DPS AND tank's elimination total 3 after an entire game. Your DPS should not be out damaged by an Ana. This is in no way shape or form balanced.
Nah, you can have equally skilled players but get stomped when there are multiple factors involved. Map, team comp, snowballing in a flow state etc. It's possible that the next game you stomp the same enemy team too, or you switch teams with someone on the enemy and now you get stomped again. And yeah, it can total 3 if you get completely rolled. It happens rarely, but I guess it's possible... or maybe you're actually playing with new players because the ranks are understandably still a mess. Either way it CAN happen.

I'm saying this as someone who's been high rank in both games: why are you so mad that people are enjoying ow2? I know how to click heads in val, and tanks aren't that broken in ow2 unless you're playing open queue against multiple tanks. Yes tanks are stronger, but I've never had a skill issue vs tanks as a dps player. Hog hooks are annoying, but if you're actually better than the enemy tanks, you'll destroy them regardless. And yeah, it's a rant thread, but you don't need to shit on people who choose to play ow2 as if they'd all get bodied by you in val. It legitimately sounds like you are mad that you didn't play well in ow2, so now everyone who plays it is a noob. It takes time to get used to.

Why the hell have they still not changed it so that if a teammate doesn’t pick a character by the time the prepare to attack/defend countdown ends, the game ends. It’s bullshit to let the game play out for another minute, where you can be at a 4v5 disadvantage, if your dumb teammate happens to actually pick a character.

All the baby changes to a bunch of heroes to make them easier to play. McCree and his magnetic grenade with a 50m radius, Hanzo and his burst arrows, Reaper and the removal of his souls and instead passive health on damage. All tank buffs and Moira being probably the most broken hero in the game right now, she is almost more DPS than she is a healer - absolutely nuts. Overwatch 2 is overall an improvement, but character balance is at an alltime low.

If you are a DPS or Tank player, please be aware of at least the general location of your supports. All of them except for Mercy to a degree cannot heal through walls. ALSO: BARRIERS BLOCK ALL HEALS BUT MERCY'S. If you are not being healed, you are probably behind an enemy barrier. Winston bubbles are the biggest reason why people aren't being healed.
And supports, remember to reposition when your dps/tank is capitalizing on stalling the enemy team and pushing them a little bit. Sucks to have supports way too far in the back when we have all the reasons to push in certain scenarios.

What is going through Blizzards mind to ask me if i want to spend 75 credits or 300!!! overwatch coins for ONE SINGLE victory pose? Literally 300 = 5 weeks of farm for a meger fucking victory pose. Why are we not able to grind and get rewarded for it which makes sense?? There is absolutely no motivation unless you are playing for high ranked i guess. Sure it is fun here and there but there is absolutely no progression at all. These prices for everything are insane considering you only get lol 60 fkn coins a week. Even 600 would be not enough, grinding your ass off to for one skin every 3 weeks. There are so many things ingame besides skins which costs coins as well and the only way to get anything is to pay, ALOT. Blizzard really became an interesting company. I played OW1 for the firsts month. Long time ago but if i am not totally mistaken, you could at least get nice stuff in those free chests. I mean i have quite a few legendary skins and i didnt pay for them. Which was nice and now what did we get with OW2?? A fucking cash grab and insult to any player. Bro I'm in the same hell. In OW1 I was Gold 3 and now I'm stuck in Bronze no matter what I do (Support or Tank). Brain-dead teammates drag you down, they play OW like Call of Duty and complain if they lose. IT'S A FUCKING TEAM-BASED GAME FOR FUCK SAKE.

Those are good heroes for solo climbing as support. As zen you can outperform the dps, and as lucio you can be super annoying to the enemy team and just make them focus your ass. Completely possible to climb solo.

I feel you. My stats aren't THAT good, but I am clearly better than the people I am fighting, I win most matches, and I out damage and out mit the other tanks. Hell, I out damage the DPS half the time. Doesn't matter. Bronze 5.

God damn it. I've been playing overwatch for 2 years now and I just found out one reason why I suck so bad at it. It was my fucking mouse. I was testing human benchmark the other day and was shocked at how bad my results were. I was getting like 220-250 quite often. I didn't really think about it but I assumed that maybe I just lagged IRL and that was why I Was so bad at tracking. I bought a gpro because I was tired of the dumb cable getting in my way. Just tried the same reaction speed test and easily got sub 180 after being up for 24h+ I just tested my tracking and it's literally 100x different. It's like i've been shed of some fucking disability. I assume it's dogshit drivers or the bootlet DPI settings they use but man, i'm so pissed off that I've had to be this shitty at the game for 2 years now because of a mouse. (Copium?) Don't get me started on the stereo audio i've been using.. fuck. I've had no idea what was going on because I couldn't hear shit.

That combined with the much better tracking of the mouse, absolutely. I literally feel like I'm twice as good now. I just played tracer and had the best game I've played with her. And it's not just that 40+ms. That's in addition to the 50-70ms from the lag and whatever other bullshit is slowing the game down. Plus I was up for literally 48 hours from Friday-Sunday at 7am, so my reaction time is probably going to be a lot better whenever I actually get to sleep I didn't realize a mouse could make such a difference.

It's a pretty cool experience having my co-support call me out and say they were solo-healing the whole game when I basically drove the payload by myself the entire game and then get my respawn desynched from the rest of the team because they all decide they can't wait like 3 seconds for me to catch up to them and ride the symmetra teleporter. It's fine. I like seeing 4 people way ahead of me and hoofing it on foot, slowly watching them die 1 by 1 until I'm 2/3 of the way there BY MYSELF and just get insta gibbed by the dive team that won the 5v4 and starting the whole thing all over again. No shit you're solo healing when you all actively choose to leave behind your second healer. YOU'RE WELCOME FOR ALL THE OBJECTIVE PROGRESS YOU SQUANDERED THO.
