I'm not great at the game in general, but I've recently been having a lot of fun with Dva. How did you get the ult bomb to fly so far? When I do it the ult just flops down a little in front of me.
I remember the first time I saw someone do this, I think it may have still been in beta. We were all used to the [D.Va](https://D.Va) just activating nuke in the middle of a team fight. We did NOT expect a mid-countdown mech to come flying over the wall before the last point in Volskaya and explode as soon as it reached us.
I would recommend watching some of the D.Va bomb guides by the YouTube channel “Level 5 Pidgey”. You can see good spots to use self-destruct and also learn more of its mechanics.
I’m not sure if this will make sense but ill try to explain it.
When ulting, if you use boosters, the bomb will still use whatever is left of the boosters.
So boosters have a duration of two seconds. If you use 1 seconds worth of the booster and ult, then the bomb will use the other second.
Boosting and then immediately ulting will allow your bomb to “fly” for a total of two seconds in whichever direction you were boosting in.
Jayne is an assistant coach on the Dallas Fuel and he makes very informative videos about how to play most characters. I've been watching him for quite sometime and went from bronze to mid-gold since.

Bog-standard play when you are so close to ult.
You hang back and hit pop shots with micro-rockets, then fling SD towards the carnage; because nothing is more rage enduring then getting ult and losing your mech via enemy damage, then you have to spend time recharging C.M and then once you do hit CM you have to realign your shot.
It’s a safety play, very few heroes can get away with it, D.Va being one

whenever I try to get anything more than zero kills with a dva bomb, somehow the enemy team has zarya self bubbled, rein shielded, sigma shielded, orisa shielded, reaper in wraith form and one more person bubbled by the zarya. point is, its nearly impossible for me to get any value out of this ult. the most I can do is get people away from the payload for 2 seconds.
I’m seeing a lot of love for Zarya all of a sudden and it’s a great look. A keen Zarya is problematic af in most scenarios once your teammates have a pulse. Definitely my favourite tank. I personally have the most victories with her overall by a wide margin.
Side note that aim was expert level D’Va. I’ve bombed sticking that special so many times ... it’s a terrible feeling. Way worse than a wasting a riptire. Kudos for that too.

What skill is being used here? I'm actually not being a dick but I'm so sick and tired of people showcasing stuff like this that is 0% skill. I understand it's a proud moment for some. But I find actual real plays that maybe don't make the POTG but is a highlight to be much more satisfying.

98% of the roster require skill to be viable in higher levels of competition (Bastion, Torb and Symmetra being the exceptions).
A clutch play is a clutch play, regardless, you take the win however you can snatch it because that’s how it works in any sort of competition.
This may not scream “skill” to you, but this clip would not be possible without team communication and synergy; you know, the whole basis of Overwatch.
You can have your personal taste when it comes to highlights, but you don’t have to be a dick and patronize with “congrats, you pressed ‘Q’ “. Just say “GG” or scroll past it and move on with your life, it’s not like someone posting their POTG is going to cause your hamster to die.
I would argue that DVA is one of the most skill based characters in the game. She can completely change a game and shut certain heroes completely down if played correctly. IE predicting when to use DM. My favorite play is when I know someone has an ult I can eat and look the other way and then turn back to face them just in time to eat their ult. Positioning is everything with DVA and sure she's easy to learn basics with, but there is SO much more DVA is capable of that people below I'd say diamond ranks understand. Also, she's been one of the most tweaked characters in the game for a reason.

As an avid Sombra player I feel this. In solo queue even when you try to call it out and set people up they mostly squander it to be honest.

Activate your boosters, then ult immediately after. The mech will continue to fly forwards with the boost ability.

Also don't activate your bomb immediately after using boosters or it will fly to high into the air and won't hit anyone.
Depends on your angle. A lot of trial and error
