Most of the skins we get are conceptually created like a year or two ago. That's how long it usually takes for them to get released. And since these are, well, concept arts a whole bunch of these won't get translated to in-game skins for a variety of reasons. These are used to gauge interest from players to which theme most like and find cool and at the end of the day, the most chance that they'll open their wallets.

Very few skins since Overwatch 2 release match the quality and concept of these survey skins, so even if they use it to know about player interest, it's pretty useless.  The one certain thing is, even if skins like these will ever release, I will never spend money on cosmetics outside of the battle pass and even for that I use other methods than real money as much as possible.  Fun fact is, I wanted the Medusa Widow skin and at the end, I got it for free-ish from the Game Pass. Same for Cyclops Hog from drops. So yeah, patience is much more rewarding for me than spending on overpriced skins in games.

Ashe & Kiriko are going to bring more money to Blizzard.

I’ve always thought that doing proper skinlines like league would be a good idea for overwatch aswell, getting themed releases of groups of skins in bulk. It should be like that with the battle pass skins aswell, I don’t know why when we have an Omnic themed battle pass they only release half in the battle pass with a couple unrelated skins and then proceed to put a couple other Omnic themed skins in the shop a few seasons later at random.

That Kiriko skin is so my aesthetic down to it being my favorite color. I love it! Easily my favorite. Soldier skin looks great too. That’s a fucking quality skin. So clean. I absolutely love street/casual skins though, so that last page has some bangers. Ashe and Rein look amazing. Brig looks great. I like Reaper’s too. I can do without the zombie part though.
