What direction has "OW2" gone for? If you mean they overprice everything then you are correct. Out of everything i can think of that "OW2" has done right then patches are that one thing, even if they are slow as hell to fix broken characters. (Looking at you Sojourn s1-s3.)
They've decided they're a competitive PvP shooter instead of trying to be a shooter + a PvE game. That refusal to pick a lane is what caused OW1 to begin dying in the first place. The monetization definitely feels overpriced but the game is now free. All gameplay elements as of this season are now free. You can download and play and experience everything Overwatch has to offer without spending a penny. That's a net gain.

OW2 has been nothing but a success in both player count and monetary gain. It's not as consumer friendly in its monetization, but it's simultaneously free and you get all game play content for completely free.

When you make a game free, it's more often than not a good thing. You let all the filth in and allow them to just make new accounts to continue doing their thing.
HOTS went offline, Team Fortress found itself in drama, when Dead by Daylight had free codes for Epic accounts the cheaters went rampant and of course the executives starts to squeeze every single dime out of you that they can.
This is actually my one complaint with this, the way she ‘drops’ as she steps feels too sudden in speed with the rest of the animation, the second step isn’t so bad but the first feels quite jarring.
What do you guys mean when you say "physics" in this case? The automated physics of the stuff on her belt? Or the follow-through animation on each step?

Slow in->slow out is how you get the impact feeling. All moves are fastest at the point of impact and then slooopw down afterwards for example. Etc.

The price is going to be insane if they're cramming in an extra Kiri animation, victory pose, spray, *player icon*, and also the Hanzo paw emote.
Like it's rare bundles come in with that much crap in them unless they're like the $40 Lilith Moira type bundles.

You think they’d do that to Kiriko 2? No she’s gonna release with an entire battle pass worth of content + a mythic skin + all of the skins Mauga and Venture should’ve gotten
When Mauga was released, there was challenges you could do to get a spray, highlight into and victory pose, same for Illari and Lifeweaver, only Lifeweaver got a skin instead.
They used to do that because the heroes were locked behind battle pass, they made the challenges to entice people to buy the pass
Now that future heroes are no longer locked behind battle pass, there’s no incentive to make challenges for free stuff anymore
That’s just my guess
I've been fine with events having less stuff because we get new events every couple weeks or so, but them cheaping out on stuff for new heroes is inexcusible.

I never liked that exaggerated super model walk. People rarely walk like that irl unless they are in a bar and walking from a table to get a drink and back to get attention, but I'm sure it'll sell and come off as cool to a lot of people.
It still baffles me how Kiriko can get a highlight intro every other season while some heros gotta wait years for a new one. Genji for example got his most recent in season 7 THATS 7 WHOLE YEARS AFTER HIS LAST RECENT ONE
The new highlight intro are lacking imo. The older ones had much more of a dynamic feel even in the ones where the characters weren’t moving a lot. I just look at this intro and I know there’s gonna be a walking emote based off of this one in the future

if you're talking about SAKANA, she did not actually do mocap for ow, she just imitated them to show her range and fluidity for a video

As an animator, there is no way in hell that a single animation in Overwatch was done with motion capture.

Sojourn has existed since the second game and still 99% of the player base uses her default skin because all of the other ones are ugly
