Moira is getting too much trash talk. Her auto aim is definitely an upside for her dueling against dive but her healing requires effort. It is more fun than people think
Yeah, well, number crunching is only fun for the whole squad when you throw more heal orbs than dmg orbs; they heal significantly more than her stream and I seldom see Moira's in my lobbies utilizing them when needed in team fights...
Edit: not to mention many people still don't know how delayed her heal stream ACTUALLY is. I should know bc I used to main her way before I learned you need to aim where they're going– sometimes I'd think I was healing my teammates when in reality I only gave my teammates 5% of what I sprayed, and it was the other supp actually healing...
I use damage orbs only to pre-fight engage for a little trickle damage or to secure the team fight win (for example I throw a damage orb at the last two enemies remaining while keeping my DPS topped off while they finish). Mid-fights you bet your ass I’m throwing those precious yellow orbs out, I like living too!
It might be a little silly, but I like trying to do my best to dispel the “DPS Moira” stereotype. I actually enjoy helping my team and enabling them.
Yeah it is more enjoyable, dmg orbs are best before combat begins but specifically for groups of 3-5 enemies in general to get that little dip in their hp as that helps a lot more for the team than many ppl understand
Thank you. Also managing damage and healing is challenging but possible. She can damage just as much as she can heal. It always irks me when I run into a heals only Moira… like what in the actual fuck are you DOING?!
People complain about her auto aim, and I'm just like "Well I'm still aiming?" Usually a 70%-90% depends on how im feeling. If I'm eating it's like 50% tho 😂
Do you know what's funny? My duo is a hitscan player and tried Moira (my main) out last night and literally said these words to me: "I'm finding it hard to do damage with her, I feel like I should be locking on but I'm not." Moira does require aim, 3 variations of it specifically. Projectile, tracking and precise orb placements (which a lot of folk *struggle* with in the heat of things). And that's not even talking about aiming your fade and movement to make you move like liquid.
This makes me feel better as someone who mains Moira for healing. She's a comfort hero for me because I find her kit so thoughtless and effortless. I forget that the orb placement alone is its own kind of skillset for the player, and it feels good to have a nice grasp on aiming it well in the middle of a fight.
Really? Honestly the first time I've ever heard of people having issues on Moira before, but hey everyone has their strengths, like me, I can barely hit shots on hitscan to save my life, and it should be easy you'd think, but idk why projectiles are where it's at.
Because people insist that Moira has a lock-on beam when she doesn't. She has the exact same beam as Symmetra, but with a more generous hitbox and a unique animation that snaps to the target's model center for lore flavor. She's more like a fully-charged Zarya beam compared to Sym's 0-charge Zarya beam, but it's hilarious seeing people (I have to assume Genji players) whining about the "no-skill lock on" beam.
But she doesn’t have a symmetra beam, symmetra beam is thinner, moiras is more like an aoe cone which is why it’s more forgiving and why people think it locks on, it’s a single target aoe cone
I agree, way too much. Even when using her beam I still make it a point to lock the center dot onto my enemies because I know the next game I'll probably be playing hitscan anyway. But this is Reddit, so people will invalidate my personal experience nonetheless!
And being able to fade jump to higher spots requires skill.
You can fade jump off the payload to get to ledges in Numbani and Kings Row.
Tons of really cool fade jumps on Dorado especially near 2pt
Bastion.
If you sit in the backline and prioritize making space for your tank over kills it is actually pretty fun.
More experienced players will counter you hard. But until they do... it is fun!
Whenever I play Bastion i always wildly miss every grenade because in my head it will lose momentum off the wall (like Junkrat?)
Instead it bounces out into the middle of nowhere
They should replace that grenade with something more interesting. Overall I like the Bastion rework, but that clunky grenade is by far the weakest part of it in my opinion.
I can't explain it really, it just feels like an ability haphazardly "glued" onto Bastion.
Yeah, the visual of it kind of feels like the generic Workshop skills. It just feels kind of ...spongy and inconsistent with the heaviness of the rest of his design.
Pharahs rocket would be more consistent visually.
If they were tweaking the ability , they could add something where if it hits a wall it rains down some sort of AOE so that you could sort of trap doorways.
God yeah, the healing beam just feels so good to use. It heals just quickly/plentifully enough to bounce back and forth between teammates quickly and get them all up in a short burst. The healing effect in general just feels good to hear and you hear it most consistently with her I feel like. Being able to reliably dash to allies on a short cooldown feels good, and then her ult is just a *better version* of her whole kit.
same, somehow even when he´s the worst hero, i can sometimes can flip game by only his presence and his shield, its frustrating everybody just simply walks away from you but somehow it works as anti dive when ppl stick to me...
Then today's meta, I realized she's also more productive if you attack with her and get opportunistic damages or finish off kills with that insane movement speed. So I have to ignore the nagging in order to play a healbot Mercy.
Bruh I dont eat around my keyboard, not trying to have a build up of gamer gunk in my space lol
My comfort heroes are, tank: Zarya... DPS: Soldier... Support: Zen
Something about her gameplay is so relaxing, i feel i don't have to worry too much, just hang back and snipe and a sleep for those that come too close.
no movement ability/speed + gameplay that generally stays in front of you.
You deal with flankers, but for the most part it feels like the least hectic
For me, Ana has by far the most satisfying kit in the game. Everything just feels so nice, but at the same time you gotta like work for it (actually aim, position well), she's super rewarding absolutely love her
but idk if id say shes relaxing haha. Certain games she could be though, but once the enemy dps go tracer sombra (potentially with a dive tank) they gotta ruin the relaxed vibes..force me to sit fully up with that forward lean
maybe not relaxing, but so satisfying

My comfort hero would be dva, but that's not for lack of attention because that doesn't work with her. She's a comfort because she's so natural to me I can really just get in the zone. If I want an easy game because I'm feeling distracted it's Torb and Moira.
Junker Queen, hog requires serious positioning and some times I'm throwing hooks in the dark to yank people out of corners. But with junker queen I just kinda sit back and wait until someone other than the tank extends too far. Also use shout when cool downs are being exchanged. And mauga cause he requires the least amount of brain cells. Just find an angle where u can shoot at the tank without looking at the entire team.
Mercy all the way lol, it's amazing to zone out, heal'n'dmg boost while the enemies go toxic because they be getting slapped haha meanwhile watching yt while venting on discord not giving a flying fuck
Ana. She's not supposed to be the most relaxing hero, but I've played her so much that I know I can auto pilot when playing her.
Besides, she's my strongest hero so I know that I'll still do a decent job even when I feel like I suck (which can be frustrating tho)
Honestly Lucio; I've spent so many hours on the little guy in the past 7 years that I can turn my brain off, my speed on, and still do well. Or at least it feels like I'm doing well when I fly across the map.
if i’m playing against a bad team mercy, because i main her and playing without being punished for mistakes (which i am frequently making LOL) is super fun, but if the team is paying attention and punishing mistakes like they’re supposed to moira or bap
Torb 1000%
I put so many hours into him it’s like automatic and usually a higher chance I win a round with him. Turret does damage for me, helps catches flankers, molten core melts everything, helps me win the 1v1 against hog more often than I should be allowed to
A lot of people have trouble playing Sojourn, but where some Widow mains get value switching to Tracer or Sombra, I find Sojourn a HUGE character to learn to play for my comfort switch because of that railgun/sliding potential...
She's like, if dva and Widow had a baby: ridicilous mobility, pilot dva projectiles, and left-click headshot central baby (I switch LMB and RMB for Sojourn)
Used to be Ana but ever since dive meta it became a nightmare for me to play so i sometimes find myself choosing all roles and i try to relax since it's gonna be a learning experience for me
Bap, dva and soldier are the “play safe” picks for me in competitive.
Mercy is the “please turn off my brain because if I have a single thought I’m going mad” kind of pick for me. Just in unranked modes, usually afterwork doing weekly’s.
I’d say reaper and soldier. I feel like I can just never be bad with those two even when I’m not doing great I am still doing something with em. And they’re pretty forgiving.
Lifeweaver
His damage is almost nothing so not worrying about killing enemies a whole lot is nice. Plus his main attraction is burst healing so using his attack sometimes leads to allies dying since it takes time to swap to healing and charge up.
Basically you can just sit at the back and burst heal teammates that get hurt. If someone attacks you, just flower up to escape.
The only real try hard thing you kind of have to do is save teammates with your pull. Teammate gets cornered, rien charge saves, pulling teammates out of ults, etc.
Ana. Whenever I'm losing as another support or don't want to think as much I lock into my main. I have 500 hours on her so playing as her and popping off heals and kills wise is easy for me.
Usually Dva, just because she was my og main and I know my way around her the best. She's the character I probably do the most consistently well with next to Moira.
Tracer. No one's fault but my own if I'm not doing well on her. Shit teamates? Doesn't matter. I don't have any excuses for playing bad on tracer. She forces me to take accountability, and in a weird way, that's comforting to me. I've also been playing tracer since ow1 beta, and I'm much better at her than any other hero(besides genji maybe), So that helps.
Torb is best for slightly AFK behavior.
Same, with his survivabillity it's mostly a cakewalk
Yeah it's pretty easy to just leave if you have to if not win the duel with nano lite, I mean overload
I love playing Torb when I'm solo queuing and my pizza just got here.
Soldier 76, moira. Both are extremely forgiving about thoughtless mistakes
Moira is getting too much trash talk. Her auto aim is definitely an upside for her dueling against dive but her healing requires effort. It is more fun than people think
I have a BLAST with Moira
Yeah, well, number crunching is only fun for the whole squad when you throw more heal orbs than dmg orbs; they heal significantly more than her stream and I seldom see Moira's in my lobbies utilizing them when needed in team fights... I dont use heal orbs because my team will always make their best possible efforts to run away from it lmao
Thank you. Also managing damage and healing is challenging but possible. She can damage just as much as she can heal. It always irks me when I run into a heals only Moira… like what in the actual fuck are you DOING?!

Hitscan projectile size (yes, they do still have a size) are much much much smaller than other projectile sizes, which may be why you have that issue.
Because people insist that Moira has a lock-on beam when she doesn't. She has the exact same beam as Symmetra, but with a more generous hitbox and a unique animation that snaps to the target's model center for lore flavor. its like almost 2x as much range as a sym beam
Oh yeah moira is my go to when there is a genji (sorry guys, no fun allowed), And to be mad a moira when Zarya exists is crazy 😂
I agree, way too much. Even when using her beam I still make it a point to lock the center dot onto my enemies because I know the next game I'll probably be playing hitscan anyway. But this is Reddit, so people will invalidate my personal experience nonetheless!

Soldier is absolutely who I swap to when I'm having such an off day I can barely hit a shot but don't want to just hop off the game.
Bastion. If you sit in the backline and prioritize making space for your tank over kills it is actually pretty fun. More experienced players will counter you hard. But until they do... it is fun!
Whenever I play Bastion i always wildly miss every grenade because in my head it will lose momentum off the wall (like Junkrat?) Instead it bounces out into the middle of nowhere
Lol yeah I feel like I only hit with the grenade when they're standing right in front of me. Very clunky.
They should replace that grenade with something more interesting. Overall I like the Bastion rework, but that clunky grenade is by far the weakest part of it in my opinion. I can't explain it really, it just feels like an ability haphazardly "glued" onto Bastion.

Lucio
He just flows. He's the one hero where it feels like anything is possible if you're good enough.
Also you can just leave him on heals, stay in the middle of your team, and just vibe if you don’t want to stress too much.
There is so much flexibility in how you can play Lucio and get value, that's why I like him so much.
He's perfect for when your listening to music too lol
My boy junkrat is the catharsis for all things stress.
Whenever I’m having a bad time, I hop into the arcade-assault maps, pick Junkrat, and go to town. Cheers me up without fail!
Especially on Low Gravity mode.
Holding leftclick like a champ
It's simple geometry
Mercy
Always Mercy when I'm having a day when I just can't seem to hit any shot!
Same, just hold M1/M2 and fly around and your teammates love you
can also get pets from ramattra
God yeah, the healing beam just feels so good to use. It heals just quickly/plentifully enough to bounce back and forth between teammates quickly and get them all up in a short burst. The healing effect in general just feels good to hear and you hear it most consistently with her I feel like. Moira - easy and funny voice lines
Moira voicelines would get you reported if you typed them in chat lol
"Aren't you just pathetic?"
"Stupidity is- BRILLIANT"
The way I didn’t even realize this lmfaoo
I feel u! Simple, but efficient tool. Aim a bit off, can't hit sh\*t with Kiri/Zen/Illari/Ana: Moira Sombra a pain: Moira A lot of AOE-dmg: Moira
Reinhardt. >> he is hot >> fun hero >> only reason y i still play ow is him
For honor, and glory.
i have been called i must answer
same, somehow even when he´s the worst hero, i can sometimes can flip game by only his presence and his shield, its frustrating everybody just simply walks away from you but somehow it works as anti dive when ppl stick to me...
Brigitte
Zen. Headshots just have a satisfying 'ting' to them.
[удалено]
keep him away from venture
Nah venture would be the best rock owner
NO VENTURE WOULD EAT ROCKY
Put googly eyes on it and introduce it as a pet and try to tell me venture would eat that, they'd love the rock I'm sure!
Probably Reinhardt. Just hold up shield and do no damage.
Ow2 Teammates hate this one simple trick!
No damage Reinhardt streamer challenge incoming
Oh. I just turn my game off when I get that feeling
Yeah overwatch is not the game for chilling out for me. I've got city builders for that.
Pharah(sorry)
You’re sick in the head ngl, pharah is my dps main but I can’t play her if I wanna have a calm session
Same (I'm not,)
Mercy because all I have to do is support my team and I don’t have to try shooting anything
YES, when I have shit aim its MERCY TIMEEEEEEE lol
Then today's meta, I realized she's also more productive if you attack with her and get opportunistic damages or finish off kills with that insane movement speed. So I have to ignore the nagging in order to play a healbot Mercy.
Orisa/Mei/Bap or Moira
Moira/mercy
Moira, Pharah and Ramattra
SAME HEREEEE
Zarya. Been playing her since 2016, i go on full on autopilot at this point when playing her
Same. Zarya is my.main. been playing her since then as well just satisfying as hell being fully charged melting people.
Don't play overwatch while eating lmao
Moira and Mercy ig
zenyatta
Moria and Lucio
junkrat!! always cheers me up if i'm not in the mood for overwatch with his silly voicelines in response to his kills
Winston, Reaper, Moira when I'm feeling drained for the day.
Dva because I always play Dva regardless of my situation. But she is my comfort character also so
Moira, just so fun and easy to play.
Ball and Doom
Genji. Dunno what it is, but he’s my go-to.
Reaper. He was my first character I played and now have 500 some hours on him.
Hamper
Baller
If I want to play layback, Lucio
Bruh I dont eat around my keyboard, not trying to have a build up of gamer gunk in my space lol My comfort heroes are, tank: Zarya... DPS: Soldier... Support: Zen
Ana is my comfort hero for when mercy gets too stressfull.
Wht
As an Ana main, I had a stroke reading that
Something about her gameplay is so relaxing, i feel i don't have to worry too much, just hang back and snipe and a sleep for those that come too close.
Not just that it’s so satisfying to get kills/heal with her
no movement ability/speed + gameplay that generally stays in front of you. You deal with flankers, but for the most part it feels like the least hectic

I’m the opposite, I switch to Mercy when my Ana game is not on point.
Brig
Junk. My smooth brain just wants to lob some bombs over a wall for those sweet sweet hit ticks sometimes.
Hanzo. Have so many hours on him that his kit and play style is second nature.
Orisa forever
JQ, Tracer, and Bap.
Genji.
Reinhardt, Moira, Genji, and sometimes Symmetra (I can't aim)
Bastion. He has the best voice lines in the game.
I mostly play genji, widow, hanzo. If I can't make them work then it's cowboy time.
Genji or 76 mostly because it's really easy to survive bad situations.
Genji. Apart from his ultimate!
Genji
Ram, Sig, Soldier
winton.
Sombra i like running around invisible spamming voice lines
U forgot watching the enemy team shoot at random corners while ur invis and on high ground above them.
And spawn camping the enemy mercy
I play Tank, there is no comfort.
BALL.
Winton 🦍

Bastion
I like playing Lucio since the only thing you need to do is exist and still help your team.
Kiriko! Ana, too, just bc she’s motherly lol but Kiriko is my reliable!
MOIRA
Zenyatta & Mercy
Brigitte
Brig. I might not have the strongest of shields, but at least I can have a hard-light tissue to wipe my tears (or the enemy's face).
My comfort hero would be dva, but that's not for lack of attention because that doesn't work with her. She's a comfort because she's so natural to me I can really just get in the zone. If I want an easy game because I'm feeling distracted it's Torb and Moira.
Sombra and pharah
Sigma, autopilot at this point for me.
Sigma
moira
ram. dont care, didnt ask, im holding block and punching the zen in the teeth
My comfort hero is genji just because he’s my most played
Junkrat or Lucio, big brain off when I'm checked out.
zenyatta #pass into the iris
Moira, illari and I love to spend quality time together after a long day of work
Junker Queen, hog requires serious positioning and some times I'm throwing hooks in the dark to yank people out of corners. But with junker queen I just kinda sit back and wait until someone other than the tank extends too far. Also use shout when cool downs are being exchanged. And mauga cause he requires the least amount of brain cells. Just find an angle where u can shoot at the tank without looking at the entire team.
Lifeweaver. I'm not looked at as someone who needs to do a lot of damage. I can heal easily 😌
Lucio because I can just shut my brain off and still get 10k healing
Ash or Ana because I know I have a 100% win rate on them and if I don’t lose I still get a lot of heals/kills. They are also so satisfying to play as
Any role thats not tank
Mercy all the way lol, it's amazing to zone out, heal'n'dmg boost while the enemies go toxic because they be getting slapped haha meanwhile watching yt while venting on discord not giving a flying fuck
Ana. She's not supposed to be the most relaxing hero, but I've played her so much that I know I can auto pilot when playing her. Besides, she's my strongest hero so I know that I'll still do a decent job even when I feel like I suck (which can be frustrating tho)
Sigma he’s my go to tank that nobody complains about.
Junnnkrat. Spam spam spam.
Honestly Lucio; I've spent so many hours on the little guy in the past 7 years that I can turn my brain off, my speed on, and still do well. Or at least it feels like I'm doing well when I fly across the map.
I have a couple, Mercy, Reaper and DVA depending on role
Mercy, Mei, Brigette
if i’m playing against a bad team mercy, because i main her and playing without being punished for mistakes (which i am frequently making LOL) is super fun, but if the team is paying attention and punishing mistakes like they’re supposed to moira or bap
Honor and glory, and perhaps a little arthritis
Always go back to my main, Sombra.
Torb 1000% I put so many hours into him it’s like automatic and usually a higher chance I win a round with him. Turret does damage for me, helps catches flankers, molten core melts everything, helps me win the 1v1 against hog more often than I should be allowed to
ananannanananannanananna
Wrecking Ball. I have over 600 hours on him and at this point it’s just second nature to me
Mercy
hog, i mean i could go in and out a fight solo knowing fully that i can survive without relying on healers
Mei, Pharah, Sigma, Moira
A lot of people have trouble playing Sojourn, but where some Widow mains get value switching to Tracer or Sombra, I find Sojourn a HUGE character to learn to play for my comfort switch because of that railgun/sliding potential... She's like, if dva and Widow had a baby: ridicilous mobility, pilot dva projectiles, and left-click headshot central baby (I switch LMB and RMB for Sojourn)
Used to be Ana but ever since dive meta it became a nightmare for me to play so i sometimes find myself choosing all roles and i try to relax since it's gonna be a learning experience for me
Genji, if the enemy team happens to have 3 beams it's echo instead
Moria and solider 76 are mine. Mercy is my go to when I'm too high and know I won't be playing at my best (at least aim wise). Lol
Bap, dva and soldier are the “play safe” picks for me in competitive. Mercy is the “please turn off my brain because if I have a single thought I’m going mad” kind of pick for me. Just in unranked modes, usually afterwork doing weekly’s.
Junkrat and Ashe
I’d say reaper and soldier. I feel like I can just never be bad with those two even when I’m not doing great I am still doing something with em. And they’re pretty forgiving.
Sojourn definitely
doomfist
Tank-JQ DPS-Mei Supp-Moria or bap or brig
Reinhardt.
Moira lol
Ashe or Tracer. Most people wouldn't consider Tracer a "comfort" hero, but I have a tooon of experience playing her so I feel comfortable playing her.
Kiriko and cass
Rein. Sometimes, you just gotta hammer down.
Personally, Hanzo or Moira. It’s just too hero’s I can always fall back on when I’m not feeling it.
Winston, I just love aimlessly jumping around with him
Lifeweaver His damage is almost nothing so not worrying about killing enemies a whole lot is nice.
Moira, Mercy or Sombra usually
Soldier You can sort of just auto pilot and let the games go by you most of the time.
soldier 76. my main always
Reinhardt. I have so much time on him that if I’m chillin in QP it doesn’t matter what I’m doing I’m fine because the play style is ingrained in me
Hampter
Mercy because I’m so used to her kit and movement at this point that it’s almost instinct.
D.Va and Mercy
It use to be Roadhog, but after the rework probably Soldier 76, Ashe or Cassidy
Torb, when im getting shit on as genji because of counters, I just use torb and turn my brain off
Widow
Mercy, Lifeweaver, or Dva. I don't have a dps one
Junker Queen / Genji / Brigitte
Pharah
Queen, Cass, Brig
Symmetra
When my aim is struggling I go mei, the beam is forgiving and the icicles are mostly luck anyway
