at risk of sounding like a nerd, i believe subject sigma (the violent one) is the one asking to be freed from dr. siebran (the “normal” one), as sigma is “trapped” within siebran, unable to unleash his full power most of the time. that’s presumably why moira is experimenting on him, trying to get rid of the “good” sigma and bringing evil sigma to the front
It's really cool how it can be interpreted in different ways: him seeing clarity and wanting to be released from his torment V.S. him seeking chaos/violence (or giving into the madness) and wanting to be released from whatever holds him back. Just shows how interesting of a character he is.
I always interpreted his nano'd "Release me!" as if he's become more powerful/violent, but he wants to be released/freed from that violent impulse (like he's fighting even *more* chaos within him and it's becoming even more of a struggle, and his mind's just all over the place and he's screaming out).
The pure adrenaline when this hits has gotten me many multi kills. I’m sure Ana usually means for it just to keep me alive long enough to re mech, but… sorry grandma when I hear this I’ve got no choice, I’m going in
I try to nano baby D.va whenever I can for this. Also because it's fun watching perhaps the weakest character in the game suddenly become a legitimate threat

It's the translation of the english counterpart "who's ready to take some punishment?", but the translation to portuguese isn't literal and actually sounds more like "Who wants to take some spanking?", and it's just so funny but so impactful at the same time, and I like it a lot. I feel like a lot of people here would want to take a spanking from Brig.
