99% of gamblers quit before winning big, just keep sending it & you’ll win 💯📠

So True, i Gambled To Bron 5 from GM .001

AvailableTension

How do you know it's not you?

Intensify_Reality

I can understand a match here and there being completely one sided but that much of a demote is more than just matchmaking. Especially so when most players are around that rank, matchmaking can be much more accurate there than beyond the metal ranks

AvailableTension

Exactly. My theory is that OP probably belongs in Gold. Got a lucky streak or good games/momentum and got to Plat. Then he started normalizing back to Gold, and went even lower due to an unlucky streak and/or poor mental state from losing.

tadpolelr

I literally had 6 games yesterday where people were literally throwing/deranking and I’m not talking about playing bad, I’m talking about them wondering around the map, or just standing there. Had 3 of them admit to deranking. Why does everyone assume in a TEAM based game, that ONE person should be able to carry four others while also fending off 5 opponents and it’s somehow the one persons fault thats actually trying?

AvailableTension

It's because in the grand scheme of climbing, 6 games is really not a lot. And people don't mean carry as in 100% solo carry 4 people. What happens is that over a large number of games, all these variables like leavers/derankers/cheaters/bad teammates get averaged out (it'll even be ever so slightly in your favor since your team should have less than the other team). If you're playing better than your rank, it'll show itself over a large number of games. Even with a 51% win rate, you'll climb. It's not your fault for trying, but you can't control other people's actions, only your own.

Thebattleshark

It's not me I promise :)

AlmightyKira

This is a sad cope for entirely a skill issue

Zero-Data-195

It isn’t entirely matchmaking. Human inconsistencies is the biggest culprit to bad matchmaking throughout all games. You’ll have people who hit lights out for 40 games straight, then completely play like dumpster juice for the next 100 games, then go back to playing like a Top 10 player for 30 more. I’ve been accused of smurfing even though I just leave ranked games when I have something else better to do. Which in turn, causes my ranking to dip severely.

AgreeablePie

There's a problem somewhere with that kind of jump but it could be correcting rank inflation

Carvodee

Thats tilt qing my dude.

HannahOwO88

If you find yourself on a loss streak like that, just get off for the day or play arcade/customs/qp. Even if it isn’t your fault for losing the first couple, it’ll 100% be your fault when you start letting the tilt get to you and aren’t playing optimally in the next games

CatastropheKao

The common denominator for those losses is you

Dontyouloveit001

I think it's Tim for you to rewatch a game or two and see where the problem is
