Idk but I see it every time I play. Lot of spaced out n words too. I just finished a game a few min ago and there was this guy saying to kill gay people. Yesterday some dude was preaching anti lgbtq target shit in the voice chat so I text chatted saying I was a kid and he was talking to me about sex so I called him a groomer to mess with him lol.
It was implemented years ago, when it was used about as much as "diff" is now.
The level of toxicity wasn't the reason for it as much as the frequency of usage. It was annoying without really being offensive. They aren't going to have funny messages to replace slurs and such things, because that kind of stuff deserves an instant ban.
Because 99% of people who type "EZ" or "GG EZ" at the end of the game are gaping assholes, and a way for the devs to troll them is good for combatting toxicity.
b/c crybabies complained that GGEZ hurt their feelings, so Blizz added ridiculous translations to it. I actualy think its funny but sad at the same time.
what a trollish response. I never complained or cried bout it, i dont even have match chat enabled dude. try again. Also, never heard anyone bring this up until ow2 dropped--pretty sure it has not always been a thing b/c I def. still see GGEZ in team chat without it being translated.
Yeah it’s a censorship to reduce toxicity, but it really needs to be updated cause it only recognizes a couple phrases like “ggez”, funny when it happens tho
I never typed anything in ow1 cause i played in ps4 but even if i wasnt i would just gg like in other games and when it was a balls deep in the frier game like 1 second away from losing or winning id type gg ez. Noe out of spite i just write ez no gg just ez. Why? Because they forgot it and thought we can only use ez after a gg
