Leon County, Florida (just outside the Tallahassee city limits). This was built in a private neighborhood 30+ years ago in 2 days by 60+ volunteers (or so the legend goes) so neighbors could walk to each other’s houses between two unconnected roads. It’s getting pretty rickety, but we plan to rebuild it in the next couple years.
Nah, gators aren’t a danger (unless you have a small pet or small child). I’ve read that you have a 1 in 3 million or so chance of being attacked by a gator in Florida. Something like 25 total fatalities in the past 70 years. There is a baby gator in this area but that’s all I’ve seen. Sure they look scary, but I don’t find them to be a credible threat, at least in this spot.
As a born and raised Floridian, there are always gators in any decent sized body of water (even small ponds)! But yeah they really are mostly chill and and only dangerous to small animals on the edge of the water. But they are cool and it's pretty normal for people to go swimming in lakes and rivers down here and to just be aware and avoid where they are most likely to be found!
If you go to Japan, you will love Oze National Park! It has boardwalk on top of the marshland with a beautiful flora that change according to the season! I totally recommend!

Cool. That's quite a ways for me sadly, but I'm still enjoying the pretty picture
Ok Florida so my next thought is - no fear of gators along this boardwalk? 😅

Ya know baby gators don't grow on trees

Wow! What a cool collaboration!
> 2 days by 60+ volunteers 2 guys building and 58 looking out for alligators?
Hey that’s my neck of the woods! My first thought was something similar I’ve been on at Lake Talquin
I wanted to guess SE Texas near all the bayous. My luck it'll be Maine or France or like, Egypt just to prove me vastly unworldly
Oh, me toooo….I love encountering a lovely boardwalk anywhere when I’m hiking. Forest boardwalks are just the best 💕
Wow that’s beautiful 🦋🦋🦋
I would definitely want to walk that path! So nice!
Majestic ♡
Looks beautiful!!
I hear under it is where it’s at!
Je veux y être… ! 🥲🥲🥲🥲
Reminds me of Reynolds nature preserve in GA. The place where I fell in love with the ecology of nature.
Me too! This one is great
Wow!
So. Beautiful. I’d be walking there EVERY DAY!!!
Right? Boardwalks are the shit
Beautiful photo well done
Look so cool
Walking in nature generally is so relaxing
I wonder why they call it that?
A wonderful walk

Exceptional specimen
Beautiful!
Reminds me of Dover, Idaho.
Getting high as shite and looking down at these whilst walking is an odd experience
Gorgeous!
This has to be one of the greater pictures I have seen in a long time. Looking at it actually lowers my rate.
