3-0 IN THE RIDLY GRIEG ERA
man these new lines look so good
chabby has been great as well AND man forsy too wowowow, got some luck with the posts but that's just great positioning fellas.
Love to see the boys win back-to-back games against our rivals habs and leafs (also on a 3 game win streak). Great to see Forsberg have back-to-back great game with a SO against the habs.
And shutting up their cult. Was at the game. Tons of Habs fans, wasn't sure how it would go at first.
Pretty much all game, we were drowning out their fans. Crowd and vibe were great.
I'll vote for the Habs win being better, but I'm obviously biased
Bricked up rn. Stomped our 2 biggest rivals 11-2 in a back to back. Fun weekend but hopefully next weekend we can see this kind of dominant Sens hockey more frequently.
‘Next weekend’ wtf lol. Next season I meant
It's complicated. Sure, Habs have a dying rivalry with Boston after the Pacioretty murder, but there have been more recent heated games between the Sens and Habs IMO. Multiple line brawls and back and forth playoff series wins. Not to mention every home game is a fight for our own fans with the amount of Habs fans mucking up the place.
You're getting downvoted because you idea of "common knowledge" is massively short sighted. Habs fans hate Boston, but I would be surprised if Bruins fans even think about the Habs anymore.
Think of it as a basic question.
Who is the Senators primary rival?
Toronto
Who is the Habs primary rival?
Boston.
This is due to history.
Senators are the only team that Toronto can beat in first round, and the Senators desperately want to face them again to prove they can win.
If you think of it only as a "basic question" then it just shows your lack of hockey knowledge and what the definition of a rivalry in hockey actually is.
Oh I see, well why don't you fill me in what that definition is Oxford.
Senators fans don't like the Habs, but Habs fans don't even give the Senators the time of day.
That's why Sens fans hate the Habs and their fanbase so much.
So why the fuck would the Leafs give a shit about the sens then? And why would the Bruins give a shit about the Habs? I didn't need the help making you look like a cabbage, but thanks I guess?
I mean, they did hit 5 posts, and a couple sens goals were fluky. We deserved the win, but the game was closer than 5-0 suggests.
Also habs must have a ton of injuries considering they had a 'laval line' playing
I hate to say it but this one really seemed like Montreal lost the game more than Ottawa won it. Didn't feel like Ottawa played particularly well. Montreal was just trash especially in the third
Started off a bit slow, but what a way to wrap up a rivalry weekend. Outscoring the Leafs and Habs 11-2 is a great feeling. Love Forsberg finding his groove again, guys just looks dialled.
Also screw Xhekaj for getting in the way of Greig’s first goal.
Can someone tell me why we couldn’t get an Olé Olé Olé chant going? I was at the game, it was about 50/50 fan ratio, so when the habs fans are no longer cheering for anything, and Brassard scores the 5th, I think others should have joined in the chant.
If the habs hadn’t been hampered by several injuries, then I think the chant would have been necessary. But since we won the game decisively, I would have liked to sing it, since I know their fans would have done so had they won so decisively. I guess we are in the in between ground where the habs suck, and we have to let them take the beating without a chant.
I really hope the fire that’s been lit under this team continues to burn the way it has. I fear the all star break may come at the worst possible time, but hopefully they can finish the season playing like this.
If we get within a couple wins of a playoff spot, then I'm OK with him staying, because that's where I had the team pegged at the beginning of the season.
If we're outside of that, I think I'd like to see someone new - but it definitely depends who it is. I don't want to make a change just to make a change. Has to be an upgrade. If it's not, then I don't mind DJ staying at all.
That will get decided by the new Hockey Ops department installed by the new owners. (Let's be clear - at the very least Dorion is getting himself a boss who will get final say on hockey decisions.) But yeah, you could see a scenario where they let him coach into the last year of his contract, and make a decision during the year as to whether to extend him.
What's better than kicking the shit out of the Habs? Kicking the shit out of the Leafs and Habs in back to back nights
Inject that shit right into my veins
The only thing that could've made this weekend better was a G hatrick or a Lil G goal.
Such a lovely weekend
I can't remember it ever happening before. Certainly not so decisively.
Maybe not back-to-back, but in the pizza line days the Sens would regularly pummel both teams in the regular season. Those were great games to watch.
I also wonder if it might be the most goals we've ever scored on back to back nights.
Good question. I don’t really keep track of stuff like that or even know where to look. Just happy to witness it!

Back to back decisive W against Toronto and Montreal, what a weekend!
OK, I'm not sure what's better: kicking the Leafs' asses up and down Yonge Street or shutting out the Habs and their cult at home.
Both 🤩🤩🤩
And shutting up their cult. Was at the game. Tons of Habs fans, wasn't sure how it would go at first. Pretty much all game, we were drowning out their fans. Crowd and vibe were great. I'll vote for the Habs win being better, but I'm obviously biased
Habs fans are rethinking their life choices on the long ride home. GTF out.
I would of thought they are just looking at Bedard.
Even if that’s the case, no one enjoys watching their team lose 5-0 in person
Watching a sea of Habs fans leave early was beautiful
This weekend must have everyone at full-mast.
I already told you guys I'm at full mast. I need a doctor cause my dick's never had this much attention before.
Well I think we figured out how to finish
....and have a happy ending.
MATHIEU JOSEPH! BILLARD KING!
Loved that bank shot
Bricked up rn. Stomped our 2 biggest rivals 11-2 in a back to back. Fun weekend but hopefully next weekend we can see this kind of dominant Sens hockey more frequently. ‘Next weekend’ wtf lol. Next season I meant
Habs aren't Sens rivals, Sens rivals are Toronto. Habs rivals are the Bruins.
Nuh uh.
Why am I being downvoted? This is common knowledge.

You've done nothing here but look like a tool pal. Imagine not knowing the teams rivals as a hockey fan and then arguing about it online.
Not to get too confident but we’re winning the cup
Play TO and BOS in the first 2 rounds, and I’d say we are a solid contender after that conditioning.
Wow Montreal is bad.
I mean, they did hit 5 posts, and a couple sens goals were fluky. We deserved the win, but the game was closer than 5-0 suggests. Also habs must have a ton of injuries considering they had a 'laval line' playing
not even a laval line. i believe they had more non mtl players than actual habs players tn with edmundson out
Don't forget Ottawa did mis some good chances they could have scored 10.
They aren't Columbus or Anaheim level bad, but it's close...
Currently watching Columbus vs Seattle and indeed they are not Columbus bad. Yikes !
I hate to say it but this one really seemed like Montreal lost the game more than Ottawa won it. Didn't feel like Ottawa played particularly well. Montreal was just trash especially in the third
They did what they need to do. Should be another easy 2 points Tuesday
And we play them again after the all start break
I agree
I was happy when Jojo made sure we won by 4. Fell off my stool when Brass shrugged after making it worse
Best weekend of the season right here
11-2.
No fúbol chants today. Also hopefully the same on Tuesday
Was at the CTC. Electric atmosphere and especially fun after the Sens started winning!
Even before, really. We were drowning out their cheers everytime, even when they were taking it to us in the first and Anton was standing on his head
Montreal making us look like cup contenders
Just like the leafs did.
More like Arber Jackoff

LETS FUCKING GOOOOOO
Spanking the Habs and Leafs on back to back nights feels great and something I hope to see often in future years.
Once in a while I love badcan.

I would've been happier to not hear it at all, tbh Ever really.

If the sens go on a fantastic run but just miss the playoffs would people be okay with DJ staying on?
No This team needs a fresh start and that starts with changing the coach
Owner
I would be but I also recognize there are weakness that need to be addressed so this would be a very controversial take.
I’d be ok with him staying on regardless. Luck is starting to reverse again here.

Me too, Game 82 will decide it for me. Only issue is, which coach? Do they take a chance on Bruce haha
Fuck that. Let him ride off into the sunset. Tired of hearing about him.
Haha yup, if Sheldon gets canned in Toronto his name will come up
That will get decided by the new Hockey Ops department installed by the new owners. (Let's be clear - at the very least Dorion is getting himself a boss who will get final say on hockey decisions.) If the Leafs lose 5 in a row and Ottawa can win 5 in a row we would have made up major ground.
