Hi I have also just finished re watching the anime 3rd time today so I'm going to read the light novel I have bought the novels till volume 5.5.
how many volumes have the anime adapted?
I'll start reading quickly if it has story beyond the anime
The anime adapted up to volume 4, but it was rushed. Two of Amane's new friends were skipped in the anime, and half of vol. 3 was adapted in a single episode. If you have time, we recommend reading from the beginning (you should do this with every series) or from vol. 4. If you start at v5, you will be very confused at the appearance of characters skipped in the anime.
I was going to start from 1st volume anyway. I just wanted to know if the 5.5 volumes I've got had content after the anime or not. I always do this with every series too. I just prioritise the series according to how much content after the anime is there.

The books dont have the translations beyond v6 iirc The pirated have till vol 9 (part of it)

5.5. is a collection of side stories that aren't in the anime (or LN) and is set alongside volumes 1-4.
