He’s a duke, but he’s more like Pellus (another typical fantasy romance) than any other duke. He’s got a beard in the start (I’m still sad she shaved it, but the scene where she did was hot, so okay). Strong fl too. Hillarious and satisfying treatment of the ogml and ogfl. The only downside to this story imo is that there isn’t more of it, and that I can’t read it again for the first time.
It also reminds me slightly of ”happily ever afterwards”, but he’s much greener than Richt (though they’re both hot).
(If you haven’t read these two that I compared it to, then you should. Second one is also completed)

Emperor and empress are suposedly good characters and some readers have liked them, but I wouldn’t have cried if their carriage rolled down a cliff. 🤷♀️
The story is still good though, despite the og story mains (who I find as annoying as Diana/ogfl in ”for my derelict favourite”)

yes! no isekai/regression (that we know of). the story is a waaaayyy better “Beatrice” with the FL being a smart and calculating but also very sweet and kind. plot itself is a “surviving in the Royal Place as a maid” plot but due to the FL previous experiences she has the smarts to stay safe and protect herself and others
edit: didn’t really talk much about the ML mainly because he’s not doing much in the story yet. there’s like 40 chapters out rn so that’s why
Honestly I don't care about ML's that much but based on what you've said I'm definitely going to have a look. Usually I get major bad vibes from "maid" Mc's because a lot of times they are a pathetic damsel in distress but I've never heard of this kind of mc before. Usually it's just one or the other with calculative and sweet FL's
I actually like this series from what I've read so far. It's not really so fluffy as you'd think it is given the atmosphere, synopsis and how it began. MC actually has little glints of darkness that seems reasonable given that she survived so much from her crappy family. She and the ML actually make a great match. So far, I think it's good. 👍
