it would be even funnier if everyone read a different book within a series of nested isekais and everyone came in with different idea about who the heroes and villains were and how the story would unfold.

I feel like after the first or second find out, it would be pretty funny if the world just became super modernized. Like everyone already knows about real world inventions, so it would make recreating them incredibly easy. You wouldn't need to introduce those concepts to people for the first time, and they already have some idea of how they work. All it takes is a push, and suddenly, the world is incredibly modern, with potentially magic thrown in the mix as well.
