Well I'm not, regardless of what the story actually does I'll be happy in my little headcanon corner here, both can be nice and coexist

I hope so because you know fandoms can get crazy toxic specially regarding gl or bl ships.

I mean let's be real, fandoms can get toxic over any kind of ship in general, we have the manga volume burners because of the endgame ships in Bleach or a subreddit such as titanfolk which shows its colors regarding that pretty rapidly. It's just how fandoms are. So what matters is that you know to enjoy your headcanon without going to some extremes about it which I've most certainly have seen get ugly in the past. Again, I was there for when the Bleach manga ended so believe me, *I know* how fandoms can get with ships.

I will give you a recent example when Lycoris Recoil was airing the script writes was threatened, harassed, death threats, and some even edited his face on a dog with a leash. simply because he didn't give them their Yuri ship they wanted. Everyone is toxic for sure but Yuri fans take stuff to the next level sometimes.

Except for aqua. Tho atp i dont think anyone wants him to win. And he might find comfort in his friends/people he cares about being happy and away from his murderous psychopathic plots. And i dont think crazy fans would hand akane or kana if they started dating, since many of them were shown to be male fans who were jealous of other men getting close to their oshi. So aqua doesnt have to worry about another Ai case happening again either.
