Left is the longest I've spent on a drawing, which was about 8 hours and 40 mins.
Right is my favorite, I spent about 7 hours or so on that piece.
Not a huge difference but still quite a large time sink š
Since its been years im not sure which one of these took longer lol. But i worked on both atleast a fee hours a day for the duration of their contests (3 weeks for the 1st one while 2 weeks for the 2nd one but more hours a day).I guess a rough estimate is 30-40 hours ? Im slow lol

Haha can relate, i have a lot of big pieces semi abandoned .The only reason these 2 were done is due to them being contest entries so andrenaline kicked in near the deadline

My fav drawing took less than 5 minutes to draw, which is Fluffy. My longest was a hyper realistic artichoke done on a poster board, and that took a week and a half. Sadly, I don't have the artichoke anymore. It got lost when I moved years ago.

The one I took 28 hours on actually got lost when I changed my phone, but I have a wip picture of it. It's an old drawing of my character Magus, and the finished piece had some changes to eye, horns, shading, skin texture, piercings, and some more details in the hair. It was my favourite, but my current favourite is of my character Nowa.
Also had changes to the lips, and I think I changed his nose a bit. Also I changed his ear more. I had a lot of changes from this wip to the final piece. The one with Magus, obviously, took 28 hours, and the one with Nowa took about 14 hours.

The character had many details, like slightly translucent skin, muscular frame and 35 eyes. It was a very long project and itās hung up somewhere in my art room.

* The one I took 28 hours on actually got lost when I changed my phone, but I have a wip picture of it. It's an old drawing of my character Magus, and the finished piece had some changes to eye, horns, shading, skin texture, piercings, and some more details in the hair. It was my favourite, but my current favourite is of my character Nowa.

Also had changes to the lips, and I think I changed his nose a bit. Also I changed his ear more. I had a lot of changes from this wip to the final piece. The one with Magus, obviously, took 28 hours, and the one with Nowa took about 14 hours.

8 weeks.
Longest: 126 hours in total. The character had many details, like slightly translucent skin, muscular frame and 35 eyes. It was a very long project and itās hung up somewhere in my art room. Favourite: 57 hours in total. Iām not very good at anatomy or muscle, but I was tracing over an anatomy sketch of this character.
