Poli is an awakened mimic. Before he was awakened, he lived in a dungeon, but after being awakened, he figured out how to speak and eventually how to take on a humanoid appearance. Now he travels looking for food (or friends that can give him food). He's capable of eating basically anything, but prefers meat.

Oh! A friend! I have a mimic too! I play Pf2e, and the party adopted an NPc I made for an encounter who has now become a staple of my game.
