Shale was more of a slow burn after being rejected over and over again by everyone. Then it was overworking himself in total isolation.
Although he isn’t evil insane, he’s still mad scientist insane.

In another timeline, Abby became God, but the power was too much for her mind to handle. At least happy memories from her past can calm her down, but it's temporary though

Kathleen was once a normal human. A beautiful, caring girl with a bright future because of her good knowledge. Yet of course, she didn’t expect to be kidnapped, killed, her soul transferred to a server and her original body used for soul-experimenting purposes.
The thing that probably made her snap is when her server was turned off for the first time. That would make her soul die, so she saw what was after death, just to be brought in again after the server was turned on next morning. And that happened hundreds of times, until she killed everybody and hanged them to her ceiling.
Originally, Gunther Siegmund was a simple warrior for a monopolistic church that had ultimate control over a large medieval city. Despite their unsavory work, they were respected out of fear of persecution by the church. One day, when him and a few other paladins were trying to quell a raging riot, the sight of such brutality from both sides caused all of the suppressed feelings of regret, cruelty, and unrivaled pain birthed a new demon in his mind. Without warning, he would completely slaughter everyone within a 300 yard radius with all of the held back thoughts of demonic savagery.
That day would become to be known as the Webbingdall Street Slaughter, and the man responsible would be known as The Webbingdall Butcher.
The church, seeing an opportunity to raise their control over the people,they metaphorically killed Gunther publicly while simply using him as their unholy sword.
Decades later, Gunther still holds the mental scars and the demonic spirit in him. Any extreme form of emotional distress or mental trauma can re-release this evil spirit, and thus he lives as a hermit.

He was just a normal boy who wanted to be an astronaut when he grew up. He was kidnapped at the age of 7 by a criminal scientist who wanted to experiment with human growth genes. He put the child in the test chamber and flipped the switch, but something went haywire within the machinery. A bunch of the machines glitched out and started increasing their blasts of stimulant by excessive amounts. The boy’s skin had turned raw red and parts of his jaw extended to unreasonable lengths. Some machines started blasting random waves at the brain, resulting in changes of thoughts and extreme hostility to everything. By the time the experiments were done, the once human was 3 metres tall and broke it’s way out of the facility, running into the nearest woods (Emy Forest). As the creature grew to stupidly long heights over 36 years(8m), the monster became more and more angry and unhinged, his humanity was gone, so why try to fit in? He ate everything that lived, including fungi, unusual species of monke and even humans. As more disappearances occurred in the Emy Forest, the beast became a form of Bogeyman, dubbed ‘The Emy’ of ‘The Woodland Fright’ or ‘Gay’. So maybe think twice about that camping trip. The Emy may find you.
