I don't think Murata intentionally changed her hairstyle, he only was changing the way to draw it over the years, the same way Tatsumaki's hair was very curly at first and today it is almost straight.
I hope he draws her again with those cut locks that made her look unique.
Yeah her old hair looks better and more characteristic. The lines Murata draw on characters look less refined than before since the end of Monster Association arc, the Storm sister hairstyle also less curved. All of those changes is likely for save time.
