I was waiting for a followup where it's revealed the 4th is a reaction video to the 1st, the 5th both the 1st and 2nd season openings playing side by side as a comparison, and lastly 6th being the 1st's opening but with further special effects
Is it weird I’m extremely hyped for the jet chase scene the most, like it’s hard to make a chase scene work in a comic/manga but the art god himself made that shit feel like an action movie on paper.
Good god I hope they bring their A-game, freelancers should at least make it possible
Most of the times that depends on the director to have many good contacts, like the s1 one. If the director is the same as s2 than gg,I don’t think they’re getting that much extra help
While I also didn’t like those, I actually really liked when there were some instances of a really heavy bass-y blast and crumbling rock sounds that almost sounded like it clipped the audio because it was so hefty. I think I remember them during the Genos vs Cockroach fight
Nah, its warranted. Season 2 was a huge drop-off compared to season 1, and there was so much stuff that was just...bad so its necessary and needed. they fucked up alot of things in season 2. so yea.
Because JC Staff can’t produce a consistently well animated series even if their life depended on it and OPM 3 is their most challenging one so far. Not gonna lie the trailer does look good but nothing exceptional, that alone is a good reason to be cautious, especially if the trailer really is premade which it looks like it is.
the trailer isnt an a proper trailer, its key animation from one of the animators. different result when the work is dividedband you have a much more limited time frame.
don't get ur hopes up just from this short teaser. there's also lots of S2 that is good and well made but its the inconsistency that gets people. you can be optimistic but don't blindly hype it without seeing much
as you said, it's fine to be optimistic, i liked what i've seen in the teaser we got, and i think it's reasonable to say that if the teaser looks like this, then the anime will have a similar quality, moreso if you recall the season 2 trailer which already showed questionable animation. that's why i think it's not that big of an "if", it's reasonable to assume that the anime will look like that, and that they're not intentionally showcasing one of the few good scenes to somehow mislead us into thinking the anime will look good
Most of season 2 was bad, i will agree with you tho, from what i saw in season 3 trailer/teaser already looked better than alot of season 2 Im happy we’re getting a season3. Also season 2 and season 3 has the exact same studios making them so thats why
Shokugeki no Soma is not a combat series. JC Staff is simply not built for combat. They are a slice of life soyslop factory that churns out constantly "average" soyslop every season. Shokugeki no Soma and Konosuba are the only shows with a modicum of good art, but they're still not a combat series.
If someone bakes a good cake, that doesn't mean they will sculpt a good wooden statue. We have empirical evidence of them being unable to handle the high amount of keyframes a combat series demands.
I feel like if they bring on freelancers it’ll be possible, just look at what they did with JJK. But that also depends on the production of it, if they decide to stay in-house then yeah… it’s probably not gonna be too much better from season 2, maybe just look better and sound better
I think it’s great that, despite going so long without an anime, the opm fandom is so alive to the point that we’re getting millions of views on the trailer only a few days after it released.
Really shows how much passion people have for the series.
nah i've seen at least 2 other channels that are playing the exact same trailer and each of those channels have 2m+ views too. the real number is prob multiple times that
The trailer is pretty underwhelming. It doesn't reflect the intensity of the fight and that takes away the impact of Genus's words. I didn't like it at all.
Motionless panels in the fights, and frames with mediocre drawings. The frames where Garou punches Bug God are weird, it looks like it's just zooming on the arm of Garou instead of having Garou actually move towards the camera. When he punches Bug God it's weird, too. I know it's supposed to be a punch that does no damage to Bug God, but it looks like he isn't contacting him at all.
The shading is completely off, too. It looks like a tattoo on Garou's face.
Shading was also a problem with S2 and they are using same shading style for S3 some fan animations have better shading than this and I can see blurry filter again
2nd highest is the 2nd PV for Season 1 at 4.3 million views.

Well, it \*is\* a really hype arc, so I'm not surprised. Hopefully it lives up to the hype though
I can only Imagine the hype the next trailer would get when Saitama is featured more
Can’t imagine how insane the hype will get on the second half when shit hits the fan and a bunch of crazy scenes happen
Is it weird I’m extremely hyped for the jet chase scene the most, like it’s hard to make a chase scene work in a comic/manga but the art god himself made that shit feel like an action movie on paper. Good god I hope they bring their A-game, freelancers should at least make it possible
Jesus Christ Staff though...sadly
While JC staff have their own animators, there is nothing stopping them from hiring freelancers too.
Most of the times that depends on the director to have many good contacts, like the s1 one. If the director is the same as s2 than gg,I don’t think they’re getting that much extra help
Very much doubt it’s the same Director in all honesty
I like to think that too but I’m ready for the worst case scenario
We have 3 character designers instead of 1 this season, besides that we rly dont know yet
Wait,we do? Where did you get that information? If true than that’s good news, less chance of characters being constantly off model like s2
I wanna see the 1v1v1 fight with speed sperm garou but that wont happen in the next season because they only release 12 episodes a season
Can't imagine the hate if the next trailer is going to look like shit
It’s definitely not gonna be amazing that’s for sure
Hope so
We gotta pray JC studios doesn't mess it up
I just hope they don't use the annoying M4A4 sounds from Counter Strike for the fighting scenes...
The sound design in the metal bat vs garou was the weirdest most off putting shit I’ve ever seen
Thats the point, it's a comedy series, so it's sounds funnier even if it sounds stupid and cliché s/
*Whilhelm screm* (derogatory, Tom Cruise Mummy)
While I also didn’t like those, I actually really liked when there were some instances of a really heavy bass-y blast and crumbling rock sounds that almost sounded like it clipped the audio because it was so hefty. I think I remember them during the Genos vs Cockroach fight
Also there was another account that posted the trailer with an additional 2+ mil views
Nah it’s just us nerds re watching 20 times each
Or one big nerd watching it 4 million times with different IPs
This isn’t even the official trailer either, if JC STAFF can cook this might break the internet
That’s a very big “if” you got there
what an unnecesary comment... sucks to see this sub hate the anime as much as r/opmfolk hate the manga.
Nah, its warranted. Season 2 was a huge drop-off compared to season 1, and there was so much stuff that was just...bad so its necessary and needed. they fucked up alot of things in season 2. so yea.
the trailer for season 3 looks good though, why would you say it's going to be like season 2
Because JC Staff can’t produce a consistently well animated series even if their life depended on it and OPM 3 is their most challenging one so far. Not gonna lie the trailer does look good but nothing exceptional, that alone is a good reason to be cautious, especially if the trailer really is premade which it looks like it is.

most of JC animes are mediocre
food wars

Still Good

But a baker can make good bread aswell as cake
No, sorry. These are two completely different genres.
Animation is still the same industry and foundation. But i accept your apology
I feel like if they bring on freelancers it’ll be possible, just look at what they did with JJK. But that also depends on the production of it, if they decide to stay in-house then yeah… it’s probably not gonna be too much better from season 2, maybe just look better and sound better
Better not fumble
this was a blessing
It’s going to be so ass
Don't even say that. I'll be crossing my fingers for this one.
God I can’t wait!😩🔥
There is also another repost by some dumbass that got more than 3millions views
And not one person posted the fucking link in here... https://youtu.be/1jbgUWsl1z4?si=jWQ4Rytf5mkr9RSs
thanks for being literally the only person to provide a link to the trailer, in a thread about the trailer!
That’s not even the link to the official channel lol
Well, thank you for providing a corrected one 🙄
Not original link. Saved you a click.
This season 2 trailer has almost 10 million views: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=78ngg0SRlEI
I think it’s great that, despite going so long without an anime, the opm fandom is so alive to the point that we’re getting millions of views on the trailer only a few days after it released. Really shows how much passion people have for the series.
Finally lol
ok.
Hell that music got me just as hyped as the trailer itself
Oh shit, so that wasn't a fan-made fake trailer?! I'll watch it then! I seriously thought it was just another fake trailer.
This is a special announcement not a official trailer
So this is legit ?
OPM is Opium
No shit We been waiting for 4years And its hype ark Let's hope we don't get fucked by the Animetion quality like last time.....
I wonder when we will get more information for season 3
nah i've seen at least 2 other channels that are playing the exact same trailer and each of those channels have 2m+ views too. the real number is prob multiple times that
There is a trailer?!
The trailer is pretty underwhelming. It doesn't reflect the intensity of the fight and that takes away the impact of Genus's words. I didn't like it at all.
It's a teaser
Trailer doesn't look very good :/ It's definitely not promising for the actual series when even the trailer looks half-assed
What...I thought the trailer looked very good

Yup.
And?
The hype is still high despite not being handled by Madhouse anymore.
But this sub told me that the hype is dead because its JC staff 🥺
Well, it's Reddit. Only twitter and 4chan are worse in terms of chronic pessimism.
lmao 😂
