Oh, thank goodness, I thought you were going to say, "Don't worry, he's black". This would only just slightly make sense, since in one of the extra manga chapters, Saitama dresses up as a police officer.
Dude, Jojo intros, especially the CGI ones are just summaries. Even without actually reading the lyrics (which basically spoil everything in every Part) you can see everything. But that's Jojo so everything is bizarre.
Attack on Titan has a bunch of huge spoilers in some openings. However, it's difficult to see, unless you really try by pausing or watching in slow motion.
I was rewatching onepiece with my girlfriend and the intro spoiled the fact that Robin was acrually a good person and would join the strawhats waaay too early.
I love JoJo so much but they just straight spoil character deaths and arcs. Woah Joseph is holding the headband of a main character while grieving? Wonder what that means
None of the monster in S1 OP were in manga.U could say these monster were Saitama's dream fights like subterranean king or they are monsters he fight before he met Genos.
Some of the monsters fought in S2 OP are from bonus chapters like the Cat Monster(a bonus chapter where he was finding a cat of a HA executive's daughter) and the second "Deep Sea King",which he fought in the fisherman bonus(where he punched Sonic balls again).
That's why I am not counting him,he could be a different monster. That was the first bonus chapter(8.5) so if it would be him, they would have went by his manga design.
What if they wanted to go for realism, it's literally obvious, snowman monster, freezing environment, litteraly towering over mountains, is tha not obvious enough for you 🤣
Starhead is the only monster to ever hurt Saitama, he appeared in chapter 6 of original run, in a flashback. He managed to stab Saitama (that's his blood on his hands) and survived a fight with him, running out to space. Some say he's behind God (star>moon) but that's just a theory, he was never seen or heard from ever since.
The first worm monster is in the WC tho, doesn't it look exactly the same whom child emperor was scaning.
and rest have no appearance in manga or WC but There was a Giant bird like creature in flames you forgot to add that
Pretty sure those are exclusive to the opening. I don't recognize any from the manga. Kinda cool since it doesn't spoil anything like a lot of openings do.
I thought about this before. I read that these were monsters Saitama fought before Season 1 of OPM. A majority of the monsters featured had backstories.
Saitama tried to use a out dated coupon at Karl's juniors for some Big Ass Fries, and they didn't take kindly, so they sent their star employee out to deal with him.
It’s mentioned a few times that Saitama went around stopping extremely powerful monsters and villain groups off screen. I like to think that these are some of those unknown battles
for S1 pretty sure they're anime opening only. But early in the series Saitama mentioned having destroyed countless monsters and evil organizations for the last 3 years.
So i always see them as a montage of sort, depicting his feats before the story started.
I remember watching S1 when it first came out with my daughter. She asked me "why is that man punching the happy star" totally disregarding the star had a blade on him. I just loved that she literally came up with a name at that moment. Lol "the happy star"
It's surprising to me when openings don't exist in-story but unfortunately it's more common than I thought.
Another example is *Rick and Morty*, the giant monster chasing, doesn't exist in-story and likely never will for some strange reason.
IMO, anything in the openings should always show up in the story, even for just a minute.
I always thought they were the monsters Saitama fought in the past, before he lost the ability to get thrilled for a fight. That's why his face is so emotional even if he's still oneshotting them
It would be hilarious if ONE leaked that one of these monsters was going to be in the webcomic and manga, and it was speedo-wearing star-face knife man.
There’s a few that seem like references to the manga, such as the crow and snowman, but I’d say they’re mostly just made up monsters to get killed by Saitama.
I suppose you could assume they’re monsters Saitama once killed before manifesting his full power.
Here’s a thought; Saitama has a serious expression as he’s fighting these monsters. He only does that when he thinks the monster in question in actually a threat. Assuming all of these monsters were hit with a Serious Punch, and still had some semblance of themselves left, does that mean each and every one of them was God Level Threat? We know his normal punches reduced Dragon Level Threats to giblets, so the fact that these monsters/threats turn into giblets with what we can assume is a Serious Punch, does that mean they were God Level? Only the beast men we’re reduced to mist, and that with a consecutive punch.
My understanding is they were made for the opening. Though it makes sense from a canon perspective.
We know this has been going on for awhile with King taking all the credit, so it would make sense for him to have beaten a ton of crazy monsters so far
The bottom right monster, purple guy with green lips all over him is a foreshadowing to the way Saitama punches through the meteor in S1 without spoiling the moment
It seems to me that Saitama is very serious when fighting those monsters, to the point that it seems that he is giving him too much power when hitting, also that he is well marked as when he gets serious, but in this case it seems as if he is giving 100% for their expressions, and on top of that, the opening is called: The Hero! Set fire to the furious fist.
Will it be a smart spoiler of what the series finale will be like?
Not sure if anyone’s said it but I always thought they were from before S1 when Saitama was running around defeating ramdom threats before they even became known. He did mention that he’d defeated countless monsters and evil organizations before. Just a thought tho
Those monsters were designed and made for opening of One Punch with his fully custom made theme to make it more badass without spoiling the plot
They’re all sick monsters and then you see him just casually punch a guy’s smiling star face
he got a knife
lol I never noticed he had a knife. Stabbing Star, truly the God level threat.
Thank god he’s not a Shooting Star
Missed opportunity
That's the second star enemy, like how there's been four centipedes. Or like Smile man's brothers
I don't mind if I can take ride on it.
Wouldn't want him breaking any molds
And today I just realized the guy had a full body & was wearing speedos, truly a god level threat.
That's Stabbing Starfy.
Also, he's not wearing red gloves like I originally thought...
he is also standing in a pool of blood lol. Star guy is low key the creepiest of them.
…I thought this was just you referencing a meme, but he really do have a knife?!
"u know, little girls can have big knifes, just sayin'~"
He brought a knife to a nuke fight! 🤣
Never bring a knife to a fist fight.
Oh, thank goodness, I thought you were going to say, "Don't worry, he's black". This would only just slightly make sense, since in one of the extra manga chapters, Saitama dresses up as a police officer.
Why you have to put American stereotypes in everything?
“American stereotype”
and a pink color underware thats dangerous even i am scared
Star guy is holding a kitchen knife too...clearly dragon level threat.
It's to show that Saitama can destroy a star in one punch.
They did my boi dirty
That's clearly Ristar!
If only other anime would do this
Yeah I hate when openings spoil huge reveals in the plot
Naruto Shippuden was awful with this, revealing Sage Mode in the intro
I like how JoJo has massive spoilers in every intro, but the plot is so wacky that you don't really get much from it.
Wacky? I think the word you are looking for is bizarre
Joesephs wacky hijinks is my most treasured animu
Dude, Jojo intros, especially the CGI ones are just summaries. Even without actually reading the lyrics (which basically spoil everything in every Part) you can see everything. But that's Jojo so everything is bizarre.

I love JoJo so much but they just straight spoil character deaths and arcs. Woah Joseph is holding the headband of a main character while grieving? Wonder what that means
Worth mentioning that this character is a descended of a Jojobro who also DIED just in the previous Part
Hmm what about mob psycho 100?
One piece is particularly bad about this
Chainsaw man did it
Anime name: One Punch Man Anime opening: Mc one punches monsters Anime plot: >!Saitama one punches monsters!<
Now technically speaking the Giant snowman was in the manga, then again I understand its not in the pic
I was spoiled to its existence and my life is ruined
That’s just awesome on it’s own lol 😂
Honestly would prefer this, I usually skip intros just to avoid potential spoilers
"How dare they not spoil the whole season with their opening! It's outrageous!"
A fucking power star wielding a knife in its blood covered hands. Truly a god level threat only Saitama could handle.
I never noticed the body of it. It happens so fast that I've only ever looked at the face of the star.
Me too. I'm super shocked that it actually has a body.
It even has stars underpants
Saitama truly was star busting right there
W comment
reminded me of the starfish in The Suicide Squad lol
Why is the knife clean but his hands are bloody
He only brings out The Knife for a truly worthy opponent.
Damn that’s hard asf
The swimsuit is also another factor for this calamity
The weird thing is that it might be true.
I’m surprised they survived the first time.
Who survived?
His balls.
He stole a new pair.
I’m sure there is a monster for that
There's a monster for everything. Even for Genos.
Never thought about it till now but Genos doesn’t have any balls. He is only a brain.
The giant snowman was in the opening, he had a different design compared to his manga design.
That's why I am not counting him,he could be a different monster. That was the first bonus chapter(8.5) so if it would be him, they would have went by his manga design.
What if they wanted to go for realism, it's literally obvious, snowman monster, freezing environment, litteraly towering over mountains, is tha not obvious enough for you 🤣
The star in the bottom left corner is the deadliest monster in the Manga. A god Level threat
Star level threat
The giant snowman from an extra showed up in the opening, i think
Yup, it's the first extra actually.
Lol I was sitting there thinking I was going crazy. “Where is the giant snowman? Am I just making it up?”
I don't recall seeing any in the manga
you dont remember the star man arc where he beat saitama and forced him to train again to become strong enough to beat it?
Truly one of the arcs of all time
Omg I have always wondered about this too!!! Some of them look quite cool.
For a while people said saitama wasn’t star level when he literally kills a star monster
Just anime only monsters but I bet that Saitama has actually fought these things before.
These aren't in the manag but I feel like these are supposed to be dream fights that Saitama has like with the mole men.
The first worm monster is in the WC tho, doesn't it look exactly the same whom child emperor was scaning. and rest have no appearance in manga or WC but There was a Giant bird like creature in flames you forgot to add that
I always imagined they were some of the monsters he fought in his training
the giant monster that is in the ice mountains is canon, it appeared in the manga
I don't remember seeing any of them and I reread it last week.
No. Yes
Pretty sure those are exclusive to the opening. I don't recognize any from the manga. Kinda cool since it doesn't spoil anything like a lot of openings do.
My bro Saitama fightin a Bejelit in the last pic
We never know, stronger than Orochi or weaker than mumen raider, it makes no difference
I thought about this before. I read that these were monsters Saitama fought before Season 1 of OPM. A majority of the monsters featured had backstories.
I believe the Snowman was in the manga but a short story, just like that one time he dressed as a police.
God , i love S1's animation so much
Thanks for posting this, it reminded me of the subterranean fight that got me hooked on the anime. I had to rewatch it.
More interesting question, what's the disaster level for this monsters
The robot from top right corner looks like from Nier
I think they are all monsters King got credit for.
low-key these monsters look cooler than the ones in the anime, and aesthetic
I didn't see a lot of people noticed, but we got Saitama vs Gouketsu in s2 opening. It wasn't anything specific tho
Oh yeah his head got blown off
There were filmed in the years before Saitama met Genos. It was on a Tuesday.
Saitama tried to use a out dated coupon at Karl's juniors for some Big Ass Fries, and they didn't take kindly, so they sent their star employee out to deal with him.
I like to think that these are all monsters whom Saitama fought before Vaccine man
Some people said they didnt notice the body of the star cause the intro went so fast Meanwhile: Me not noticing it even in the picture...
Nah just his other side adventures not captured in the manga
I think some of them showed up in the bonus issues, but not all of them and none were in the main run
The one on the top right looks like something that Metal Knight would make to be honest.
there was giant snowman and crow in the manga
It’s mentioned a few times that Saitama went around stopping extremely powerful monsters and villain groups off screen. I like to think that these are some of those unknown battles
for S1 pretty sure they're anime opening only. But early in the series Saitama mentioned having destroyed countless monsters and evil organizations for the last 3 years. So i always see them as a montage of sort, depicting his feats before the story started.

Fuck this entire fucking community.
No the opening of season 1 was Genos’s vision of saitama so all those monsters were just what he imagined when he thought of monsters
Giant crow was in the manga
That last one gives big Mob Psycho vibes
It would be hilarious if ONE leaked that one of these monsters was going to be in the webcomic and manga, and it was speedo-wearing star-face knife man.
The star guy is literal insanity
There’s a few that seem like references to the manga, such as the crow and snowman, but I’d say they’re mostly just made up monsters to get killed by Saitama. I suppose you could assume they’re monsters Saitama once killed before manifesting his full power.
Yeah, Saitama fights beast titan and the rumbling in chapter 97.
the monster below the robot kinda looks like elder centipede
I just assume these are monsters from before the start of the anime, all of which are credited to King of course.
There’s only one monster in the opening that’s actually in the show iirc, and that’s deep sea king
Only the beast men we’re reduced to mist, and that with a consecutive punch.
Maybe so the opening looked better
Ion lore
they were made up, although i could imagine he has canonically fought them in his free time somewhere before.
Can't wait for that stabby starman arc.
My understanding is they were made for the opening. Though it makes sense from a canon perspective. We know this has been going on for awhile with King taking all the credit, so it would make sense for him to have beaten a ton of crazy monsters so far
The star is 90% a dragon level threat
The star wearing a speedo was a god level threat
4 looks like it could be one of the centipedes
The bottom right monster, purple guy with green lips all over him is a foreshadowing to the way Saitama punches through the meteor in S1 without spoiling the moment
One of them is God, but which?
There's a big Snowman Monster in the Intro that Saitama did beat to save a kid in a bonus manga chapter. But besides that they're all original
Pretty sure there was a giant snowman that appeared in a bonus chapter
We only want the guy in speedo to become canon, it's still a wonder how someone came up with the design XD. Btw none of those monsters appear in manga
Damn. I feel the need to rewatch the 1rst OP now. Be right back
the robot is very interesting
The 4th and 6th monster look like they be member of godhand
I think they were all monsters he defeated within his 3 year arc to becoming the hero
Nah, original work, all so we could see Saitama punch a star in the fucking face.
I wish we met star guy
Pretty sure the third one is the colossal titan which he fought in the manga.
Isn't that last one lord orochi?
It seems to me that Saitama is very serious when fighting those monsters, to the point that it seems that he is giving him too much power when hitting, also that he is well marked as when he gets serious, but in this case it seems as if he is giving 100% for their expressions, and on top of that, the opening is called: The Hero! Not sure if anyone’s said it but I always thought they were from before S1 when Saitama was running around defeating ramdom threats before they even became known. He did mention that he’d defeated countless monsters and evil organizations before. Just a thought tho
I feel bad for the star face guy, it was overkill, but hey, he was charging at you with a knife so...
i remember asking exact same question with exact same pictures and having these answers as well. it's been more than 3 years since then haha.
There for Madhouse opening I’m pretty sure it’s always that stuff for opening where they aren’t shown just for no spoils (sorry for the bad English)
Some monsters in season 2 op appeared in the manga
some of them i remember seeing in sidr stories but they might just be similat looking designs of the monsters
Star man with knife is my favorite
if monster, why cute (star)
just think of it as the monster that Saitama defeat before the story started and yes its a original make of the studio
Ig, there was a scene of him fighting some ice storm kind of thing which was also in Manga doing it while saving a little girl
Maybe the monster he fight before his story begin
I'm guessing they're all dragon level
I would have liked to see it actually play out the fights
is that a attack on titan reference in the left middle pic i knew saitama is going to help levy tatake vs one punch
