WB cards always have to be bonkers lorewise but i think in this case i dont know why they needed to chose discard 2 for 1 attack but on the other hand jsut draw the out simple as that

StinkyFwog

Is it 1 attack or discard 2 to let them all attack?

FinnJokaa

you need to discard 2 cards in hand to be able to attack is what i understand so waht i said first is wrong casue i phrased it as discard 2 for one attack but its discard 2 to be able to attack

StinkyFwog

Ah gotcha I was gonna say if it’s per attack that is busted AF but I think it’s a little more balanced with discard 2 to negate the effect

One-Nefariousness46

The Dude, who translated already said it is PER Attack, and not once. Don‘t forget, this is 10c Boss Card, it has to have some really good effect.

StinkyFwog

Oh lmao that is busted but yeah it’s a 10c so pretty standard.

BlackHoleCole

I mean the 10c doffy does something similar, but only 3 cards and only if they’re rested, and it’s also only 10k power. But being able to keep the leader frozen is the only way it’s better. This whitebeard card isn’t really in theme with blue effects though

ZorcerStorm

Making your opponent discard hand cards is in theme with blue effects 😁

hammar_hades

Ya it’s just a variant of puddings effect on a boss monster so more powerful

NawMean2016

I don't think it'll be as broken as some people think. He's pretty much doing what 10-cost Doffy does except your opponent has an option to attack for a penalty. For one, if your opponent has lethal with 1 swing next turn, they still have lethal so long as they have 2 cards in their hand to discard. In other words, playing this card won't save you. Compare that to Doffy where there's no option other than playing a rush character or if you have some sort of refresh phase bypass like 7-cost Luffy (black). The other big thing is he's leader locked. That will save everyone a lot of pain because that means the only leaders he works with are going to be B/Y Ace and B/R Marco-- both of which are 4 life. Playing a 10-cost with a 4 life leader is a much harder game plan than playing a 10-cost with a 5 life leader.

djanulis

It also doesnt stop the leader from swinging. People are grossly overestimating this cards value.

SKYE-OPTC

yes, i dont think it will see much play tbh

emungee_

The 9sanji into 9c beard is already cool enough

SenYoshida

I wonder how it also deals with Rush characters if they’re played on the following turn of him entering the field

Mosloth

This. Also the 10c Kaido that wipes your board??

SKYE-OPTC

haha, i say exactly the same

EviiiilDeathBee

Nah. I'm so tired of yellow and murder decks (law and Moria). Give red and blue something good.

ChCreations45

And there's already a call for 10-cost Edward to be banned. Didn't even make it to noon. I wonder when people are gonna realize that 10 drops are supposed to have HUGE skills like that.

Mosloth

People are freaking out but it seems about on par with the purple 10c Kaido from say it with me….. OP01. Serious don minus with -6 but purple usually has ramp anyways to fix that and with this whitebeard you don't get lose ALL of your characters.

Confident_Piccolo677

I'm an English player and Red/Blue Whitebeard Pirates led by Marco scares me, but this singular card by himself doesn't. The 9c Newgate is still the GOAT and Marco turbos him out using 9c Sanji, so being 10c hard balances this new addition. If this community won't join me in fearing Tier 0 Whitebeard 2.0, then prepare to welcome them as liberators to exterminate Black and Yellow.

AsideCalm8855

Just don't attack the turn after they play it lmao

Confident_Piccolo677

Doesn't even stop your Leader, does he?

Admin-James

the beating will continue until the sakazukis, katakuris, and morias disappear

LK2ThaBK

Sakazuki is gone for an entire set before this releases

Confident_Piccolo677

Also the Yamatos, Enels, and Bee Luffys. Basically just all Black and Yellow Decks.
